"Is that why you called me at this hour?" I sate groggily. I was tired and sleepy and my father had to send someone to come get me.

"I obviously did not call you for a midnight snack,son." He snapped. "So,you will leave at exactly six."

"No!" He raised his eyebrow waiting for an explanation. "I have a wife I need to take care of…"

"I knew she would be a burden. They always are."

I ignored him.

"It won't be appealing to her when she wakes up and finds me gone."

"I remember expressing my lack of care clearly to you."

This was useless. I turn and head back to my room.
