CHAPTER 48: HAPPY ENDING OR NOT?
I saw him already dressed. My husband would surely go to the office. I wanted to approach him, but I did not have the strength to do it. I have no face to look at him, and I am ashamed of him especially, with Leonard’s brother, Ethan. For me, it was my fault why we lost our child. If I had just followed what Ethan told me. I would not have run over by the car. I am to blame for everything, but that is not what happened.
I could see that my husband seemed to blame himself. I feel it. Every night in our sleep, I wake up hearing my husband crying. He was crying in his dream. Apologizing to our son, and worst of all, he always spoke to it wishing that it should be him. He should be the one who disappears, which further causes pain in my heart that seems to be slowly crushing my heart into pieces. It comes to where I could no longer breathe.
For me, I am a useless wife. I couldn’t sleep every ni
CHAPTER 49: THE BLESSINGAlyssa was already lying on her bed and about to sleep when suddenly her grandma knock on her door. Even though she was lazy to get up because of her unceasing crying next to her grandma earlier, it still forced her to stand up.She opened her door. “What is it, grandma?” she asked.“You have a visitor.” Her grandma said. She was wondering why she had a visitor when she never expects someone. “Who was it, grandma?” she asked. Her grandma grabbed her and said, “Don’t ask anymore. Just come with me.” She did nothing but follow her. When they arrived in the living room, her eyes widened at what she saw. Her heart suddenly beats so fast. As if she couldn’t move. Her grandmother motioned Leonard to come over to her and left the living room to give them space.“W-What are you doing
CHAPTER 1: PROPOSALI was on my knees as I looked at the altar of the church, begging that God may help me with my circumstances. My grandma was on the brink of death! She had heart failure and needs to be operated on right away, but I don't have enough money to pay for her operation and a donor. I don't want to lose her. She was the only one I've got.My name is Alyssa De Guzman, 20 years old, a first-year College student pursuing AB Mass Communication. My parents died when I was a baby, and I didn't even have a chance to see them. Since then my Grandpa and Grandma was the only person who looks after me, but since my grandpa died last year, the only grandma had left with me."Lord, please has mercy on me! Help me think of what to do to find a way for her operation! You know that she's the only person I've got! What am I going to do if I will lose her? Boohoo, boohoo, boohoo...!" I sobbed until my tears were gone.
CHAPTER 2: HER GRANDMA'S OPERATIONI rushed into the hospital, where my grandma transferred to see her and confirm if she was okay. I asked the nurse attendant if there is a patient name Amalia De Guzman admitted there. "Miss, may I know if there was a patient transferred here earlier name Amalia De Guzman?""For a while, ma'am, I'll check the records for the patients who are newly transferred." The nurse answered. Then she took some of the record books and checked in them. After she checked it, she looked at me and said, "Yes, ma'am, it has. She was in the V.I.P room 206 located on the second floor."I was so glad about what I found out, so I smiled at her and said, "Thank you so much, Miss."I quickly run towards the elevator to go to the second floor. As I arrived at the elevator, I quickly press the button to open it. Then it opened. I hurriedly get into the elevator and push the number two button to the second floor
CHAPTER 3: THE WEDDINGI looked in the mirror when one of the most famous makeup artists in the country puts makeup on my face. Today is my Wedding Day! A day that every woman dreams. A grand wedding! I don’t know if I would be happy because I’m getting married at last or I’ll be sad because I haven’t met my groom yet. It’s probably the weirdest wedding that I’ve ever seen in my whole life, and the worst part was the bride was me.As he finished with my makeup and hairdo, I am impressed by the makeup artist because he transforms me into something fabulous. Even I can’t recognize myself. No wonder he became in demand among the celebrities because he was great in his craft.“Oh my, you are so gorgeous, dear, and your wedding dress suits you. You look like a Goddess descending from above. I’m sure that everyone will only focus on you especially, the groom.” He complimented me.
CHAPTER 4: HONEYMOONI was exhausted from interacting with those who attended our wedding; I stretch my legs one at a time to ease the pain while sitting on our bed. I even massage my ankles as it hurts so much when I stood for a long time earlier in the wedding while wearing high heels. I have finished massaging my ankles, so I slowly take off my wedding dress to change an ordinary one.I looked around to find my suitcase, but it was not in the room. I was only half-naked when I quickly looked in the nook of the room, speculating that Leonard's men kept it somewhere here, but I failed to find it.I tried to reckon where I put it when I remember that one of the bodyguards of my husband took it and put it in his car. I was expecting that the bodyguard already put it here in our room, but not here, so I was forced to open his closet to borrow at least one of his t-shirts.As I opened it, I saw so many expensive clot
CHAPTER 5: HOT EMOTIONS It was already 6:00 in the morning when I get up first in bed while my husband was still sleeping. I couldn't sleep so well because of the fear I felt. I even dream that my husband strangles me in the neck. My eyes get swollen as I was crying incessantly last night. I went to the bathroom to wash up my face. I need to go outside to go to the car to search for my luggage. I opened the door of our room as I am looking around if someone was awake. I didn't see anyone, so I walk downstairs to see if I might spot someone. Even in the living room, I didn't see anyone. I heard someone in the kitchen, so I went there to know if who was there. I have this thought that maybe Leonard hired a maid in his house. As I reached the kitchen, I was stunned by what I saw. It's not the maid who was cooking but a handsome young man. It's the man who handed me a handkerchief at my wedding. As I wa
CHAPTER 6: THE AGREEMENT As I got out of the bathroom to get dressed, I slowly stepped forward while tipping a toe to make sure I could not interrupt my sleeping husband. I noticed that no one seemed to be moving in the bed, so I approached very carefully to make sure he was no longer there, and yes, the bed is empty, I thought he had already come down, and then I quickly put on my clothes before he comes back and sees me naked. As I finished dressing up, I glance first in the mirror, fixing my clothes and hair. Then I approached the door of our room to go out downstairs to fulfill the request of the brother of Leonard. I was already out of the room and carefully stepping down the stairs to go to the kitchen. When I came to the kitchen, I saw Ethan sitting in the chair in front of the table, with different sorts of food ready. As if he was the husband of mine who gladly prepare food for his beloved wife.
CHAPTER 7: HER WORDSLeonard could not utter any words at all because of what his wife said to him. He could not believe that his wife also had a stance. As if he had been slapped by her over and over again! In which she had released from her mouth that was on point."Do you have anything else to say? If you have nothing to say, can I go back to there now?" Alyssa asked her husband as her hands shook with anger.Leonard is speechless, so he just nodded while he watches his wife leave the room. As his wife walks away from him, he could do nothing but sit on his bed with his two hands holding his head. As Leonard sat down on his bed, he was still dumbfounded by what happened because of what his wife suddenly said. He is not aware that his wife would do that.He can see in her eyes the sincerity in it as she utters those words to him. It even cried as it spoke and shook hands. It was pretty clear that she did not lik
