Mila felt her mouth open wide in shock as she stared at Morticia. Part of her wanted to scream and defend herself but another part of her told her that Morticia knew more than meets the eyes.

"I didn't," she whispered.

"How sure are you?" Morticia whispered back.

"I'm sure I wouldn't hurt anyone," she mumbled.

Morticia smiled and taped her shoulders.

"Follow me," Morticia tilted her head in a direction.

Mila nodded and they headed for a black door.

"Mind if I borrow your friend for a moment?" Morticia asked Felicia, who was relaxing on the couch.

"Just don't take time. We have a lot of sightseeing, you see," she said and nodded without opening her eyes.

Morticia chuckled and opened the door. The room wasn't as spacious as the one Felicia was in. It looked more serious. Like where all the magic and business happens. Morticia pointed out a chair for Mila on which she sat uncomfortably on. She sat opposite Mila in a black swivel chair which rotated with each turn.

MILA's POVMila woke up with joy and happiness. All her dreams of the future are looking so promising after she found her mate at the mating ball ceremony that was held over the weekend. It turns out that Arnold, her childhood friend and the son of Alpha Albert is her fated mate. Arnold was also excited to be mate to her. Mila’s father is the beta of the Duskfire pack, which makes their mating a strong union for the pack and is celebrated by all the members of the pack. The sudden loud bang of the door sent chills down my spine as I ran out to see the cause of the commotion.“Find him and bring him out here!!! Alpha Albert, the Alpha of Duskfire Pack, dressed in an expensive-looking silver tunic that did almost a good job at hiding his chubby physique and big belly, thundered at the guards as they moved away to drag my father out of his room.I flinched at his voice as my blood ran cold. I have never seen this version of Alpha Albert before. At fifty years old, he was already sprouting

Time moves so fast as Mila makes plans on how to visit Arnold in his room without being seen by any of the guards. After cleaning the dusty cottage and making it a bit manageable to live in without suffocating, Mila sneaked out of the cottage to go look for Arnold with her heart pounding in fear of being caught by the guards. When she successfully entered the building without being seen, she headed straight down to his room but was disappointed to see an empty room.“Is he not back yet from his mission in the Wildfire pack ?” she pondered to herself, praying silently to the moon goddess to spare her father's life before Arnold came back to help plead with his father. As she quickly moved out of the corridor, she heard Arnold's voice in the guest room close to his chamber. She could hear sounds from the door where she stood. “What is Arnold doing in the guest room by this time of the night?”. Mia contemplates on opening the door or leaving. But knowing that her father will be executed

Mila stumbled back to the cottage, her heart torn with pain as she curled up on the floor crying loudly, unable to comprehend why her life had taken a sad turn overnight. She cried all night at the false accusations of her dad and Arnold's betrayal. The words of Arnold's rejection kept echoing in her ears."Moon goddess, why me?” she sobbed loudly, knowing that her father would be executed in the morning and she couldn't do anything about it.She cried throughout the night before she became exhausted and fell asleep on the cold ground.**************The next morning Mila stood watching with the crowd as her father was being beaten and dragged out in the open to be executed. It was unbelievable to her how her life changed drastically in a day. She was the most admired wolf because of her beauty and status in the pack, especially after the mating ball ceremony when she discovers the Alpha’s son and her childhood friend is her mate. Now she has nothing to be admired for. Her father is on

Mila's mind was determined to find out the truth and clear her father's name.“No. I won't accept the accusations made against him.” I will make sure the truth finds its way to the surface, no matter how hard it's buried. In the end, the truth will be revealed , no matter how long it takes me. I have to be strong to uncover the truth behind my father's tarnished reputation. Mila resolved within herself after crying throughout the night.******The days following after her father's execution, and Arnold’s betrayal and rejection were worse for Mila. The work became so tasking and busy for her. She was ordered to do all sorts of odd jobs like; cleaning, mopping the floor, washing clothes, and other demeaning work in the pack as an Omega. The pack enforcer told her it was part of her punishment for her father's betrayal of the pack, and strictly warned her not to go anywhere beyond the pack house and the cottage where she lives.Mila was cleaning near the pack office when one of the guar

MiLA’s POVI was stupefied as I felt the disappearance of the pack link.“Guards, make sure I don't see her anywhere near the Duskfire Pack, she is now a rogue and a threat to this pack,” Alpha Albert warned the guards and walked away, followed by Arnold and Amanda, who sneered at me coldly.I quickly ran into the forest when I saw the enforcers coming close to me with deadly looks on their faces.“Argh! What more do you have for me, Moon goddess?”. I have experienced the worst things ever in the history of my existence since I turned eighteen and met my mate.Firstly, my father was falsely accused and convicted of betraying the pack, leading to his execution. This act of injustice left a deep cut in my heart, losing my father in such a horrific and unjust manner. The trauma and grief have fueled my anger and somewhat made me resentful towards the yet-to-be-identified persons who framed my father.Secondly, I was demoted from being a beta’s daughter to the lowest rank in the pack Omeg

Mila's PovI stared in awe as the masculine man came closer to me. He exuded authority and power. He stood tall, his broad shoulders squaring off against the room. The sharp lines of his jawline and chiseled features seemed chiseled by the moon goddess herself. Although his piercing gaze sparkled with anger, it was drawing me in like an ocean. I know I shouldn't be drooling over a man this way, I couldn't help it. He walked over to me and squinted his eyes. I gulped hard. As if he felt, the bonding, he frowned and froze when our eyes met. He didn't speak a word and left. I stared at his retreating figure, confused. It was obvious he felt the mating bond. Or was it something else? Almost immediately, another man walks in with a smile. "Hello. You're awake," he said, clasping his hands together in delight "Yes, I am. But where am I?" I asked, still confused."Well, this is Mystic pack, and I am the Beta, Max. And it turns out that you collapsed at the border," he explained. This Max

Adrian's POVI hurried back to my study, my heart hammering in my chest. Why would the moon goddess decide to bring a mate to me now? I don't want a mate. Not now, not ever. She wasn't even from this pack. The connection and bond were so strong, if not, I would have said I was assuming things. I decided to come out after calming down. I needed to eat my lunch. I was famished and I knew I couldn't work on an empty stomach. Normally, I would be served in my study, but I already told the kitchen staff that I would be having lunch with my Beta. I wanted to have lunch with Max. It had been a long time we had lunch as friends and not just an Alpha and his Beta stuff. I walked over to the dining room and found her again. Why was she everywhere? She was munching on the food like she had been starving for years. It wasn't a lovely sight to behold. She looked so unkept now that I was looking at her without all the lights dimmed. She stiffed her body as if shivers ran through it. I think she n

Adrian's POVI walked into my study and found Max already waiting for me there. He looked displeased. I walked up to him and sat on my chair. "What seems to be the problem? You are not in a good mood?" I asked.Max gave me one last glance before sighing. "Did you already get rid of her?" I scoffed. I see why he is displeased."And what if I did?" I asked, wanting to see his reaction."How could you do something like that? She's injured and needs proper care," he said, trying to make me see reasons with him. To be honest, I would have gotten rid of her and sent her out of the pack, but I couldn't just send my mate out in the open. Although I wanted to reject her immediately I saw her, but I needed a breeder. And she was the best shot. "She's in one of the rooms," I sighed tiredly "Really? Why did you assign a room to her?" Max asked, seeming suspicious. "Don't panic. What I'm going to say would probably shock you," I warned him. If anybody is going to know about my mate, it shoul

Mila and Felicia walked into the streets with some of Felicia's guards behind them. Mila was stunned as Felicia was like the belle of the town. Everyone seemed to adore her and wanted to talk to her. She couldn't believe the same Felicia that was threatening the peace of her life was the same person people would adore so much. Felicia in turn, acted the part. She played the part so well one who didn't know her would refer to her as a saint. She looked so pure and innocent in the way she carried herself around the pack. She wore quite a generous smile as she walked around the pack. She smiled at everyone who looked her way and bowed to the elderly. Mila wondered if this was her real personality or if she was just faking it just to gain all the love she could get."You know, you can stop acting all pure and innocent now," Mila confronted her, irritated."Does it bother you?" Felicia asked, googly-eyed."Why would it bother me? I just don't like it when people lie about their personaliti

Aunt Matilda was sipping her tea, while the maids packed her bags. She was setting out of the palace. She stared at her wristwatch and clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction. Amanda was running late. Amanda was the daughter of her friend who is a member of the wildfire pack. They had known each other since childhood and had formed a deep friendship even though they lived far from each other. Matilda had told her friend she wanted to go to the palace for a while and had complained of the maids being slow. She didn't want to start shouting at all the maids to do every little thing for her. Her friend had suggested her daughter Amanda should come over and help her in doing all those little things. It would also be an opportunity for her to get to know Adrian. Matilda had agreed to this arrangement with a joyful heart. What she didn't know was the duo had their intentions.Amanda rushed in panting. It seemed she had run. She went over and planted a kiss on Matilda's cheeks."So sorry I'm

  • The Unwanted Luna Revenge    CHAPTER 28

Mila's POV What just happened? Did Adrian just say someone was killed in the forest last night? No. It couldn't possibly be me. The last time I transformed, I didn't hurt anyone. How could I have killed someone just like that? Yes, I felt angry after seeing him with that lady, but that wasn't enough for me to kill someone. Something isn't right. I strongly believe it wasn't me. Something tells me it wasn't me.But what if it's me? What if I killed that girl? I didn't recall what had transpired in the forest, so I wasn't so cute about my innocence. My intuition told me I wasn't the one, but common sense was pointing it out to me. What should I do? I walked out of the garden and into the courtyard. I could see a frightened-looking girl being led by a group of maids. Was she the sister? I hastily walked up to them but not too close. "You'll be fine, okay?" I heard one of the maids assure her. The girl shook her head in acceptance and walked on.I must have been lost in my thoughts as

Adrian's POV I walked into the garden, and as I had guessed, Mila was sitting there, calm as usual and touching flowers. I walked over to her with mixed feelings. Would it be nice to walk up to her and accuse her of something as huge as this? Well, all evidence was pointing to her. She was the only winged demon in the forest yesterday. Was it possible it wasn't her? It wouldn't make sense if it wasn't her. But why would she kill someone in her rage? If I had gone into the forest earlier to look for her, all these wouldn't have happened. As if sensing my presence, she turned her head in my direction but turned back around after a little nod of her head, indicating she was paying her respect. Mila had never bowed to me or anything of the sort. What was going through her head? Did she remember what she did?"Mila. We need to talk," I uttered "What is there to talk about? It's your life. Live it as you want," she replied, barely sparing me a glance.I scoffed. Does she think I am here t

Adrian's POVWatching the hurt that flashed through Mila's eyes when she saw me banging my slut made me feel uneasy. The way she stared at me with uncertainty made my heart ache. I don't know why, but I felt like what I was doing was wrong. She was only my breeder. Why should I be feeling guilty? The way I had talked to her wasn't nice, but that was the least I could do to stop myself from going toward her and explaining myself. Worse still, telling her I wouldn't do it again. I turned around and went into the bathroom to wash up as I had no urge to finish up the sex I had initiated. I guess she must have thought I went to finish up because she wasn't in the office when I came back in. By the time my slut left, it was nighttime already. I walked into the room and saw her lying on the bed and eating. I scoffed. Bad eating manner. It seemed she didn't want to talk to me as she averted her gaze from me. I walked into the bathroom to wash up for the night so I could retire to bed. By the

Max walked into Adrian's office, his face depicts exhaustion. He looked like he hadn't slept a wink. "You look terrible man," Adrian commented.Max sighed. "Training has been going real hard. They might be a rogue attack sooner than we expect," Max responded Adrian groaned in frustration."When will these rogues learn? I am so tired of trying to scare them off the pack," Adrian complained."If only there was something else we could do aside from fighting," Max said."It's getting old already. We always beat them but they don't seem to get the message," he agreed."What do we do?" Max asked."We have to find someone stronger who would clear the rogues once and for all," he replied."Who do we use for something like this?" Max questioned "I don't know," he replied, feeling drained.Adrian had given Max the task of training their male pack members who were willing to fight the rogues. The rogues had been attacking them lately and Adrian knew it was time to make the pack stronger so t

Adrian finished eating and dropped his fork gently. "Thank you for the meal. It was nice, really," he complimented and stood up."I'm glad you like it," Felicia said. Why was she trying so hard to be cute? "I'll be on my way now. I have things to handle," Adrian said and walked out, not without giving me a warning glance. I wasn't sure what he was warning me about, but I had a hunch it had something to do with me not causing trouble."So. Can we go to the garden and talk things out?" Felicia asked, still keeping a smile on her face as there were maids around."Let's go," I said dropping my fork on the table. I was full already and couldn't stuff my face anymore. I stood up and trailed behind her. We entered the garden and sat down. She touched a couple of flowers without saying anyt

I have to talk to you about something," Felicia answered."I'll be down in some time," he said."It can't wait," she said, the urgency evident in her voice.I stared at Adrian, who had a nonchalant expression. His face looked bored as he stood up. I rushed up to him and held his arm."Are you going to open the door?" I asked "Yes," he replied. "You can't," I demanded, still holding his hands."Why?" he asked "I'm in here," I answered, trying to make him see reasons not to open the door for Felicia.I was inside the room for damn sake. Felicia hated me enough for being close to Adrian. What would she do if she found out I was staying in the same room with Adrian, a man who she had loved since childhood? I wasn't scared of her actions, but I was avoiding trouble and didn't want to be seen in a tug-of-war with Felicia. My presence was already upsetting a lot of people around here and I didn't want to add more to the list. I kne
