Chapter 21
We arrive at the private airport and descend the plane. Since this isn’t pack business there is no one waiting on us besides the rental SUV we got.
We grab our luggage and head to the car. We put our bags in the back and walk around to get in. As soon as the doors are shut I start the car and we take off on our hour drive to the hotel we rented.
The drive wasn’t bad but it was silent. I could tell Grey was thinking hard but I didn’t want to ask him about it even though I was curious to know. As we got closer to our destination the cities we passed got smaller and smaller. I hear the humans call smaller cities a town.
As we cross over the town line I see a sign that says there are 1,354 people living here. That is very small. Why would anyone want to live in a town this small? You have to drive 20 to 30 minutes just to get to a decent size city to do things.
As I’m driving I notice that there are a lot of people just walking around

I hand Grey one of the key cards as we walk back outside to grab our bags. Once we have them I lock the SUV back up and we walk back in heading to the elevator to go up to our room.This hotel is pretty fancy in a technological way. EverleighWe are nearing the end of our last day before we leave. The sun is beating down on me through the cracks of the limbs as I lay under a canopy of trees. A beautiful breeze is blowing my fur slightly and the smell of fresh air is all around. I open my eyes when I feel a little movement to my left on my body. I look over and see Walker sleeping against me. I nuzzle his cheek trying to wake him up. I notice that the wolf cocks its head sidewise like he doesn’t know Walker. I know this wolf from somewhere though but I can’t pinpoint it. “This here is my friend Snowy. I don’t know if you remember her. I jolt awake right as my alarm goes off. I shut off my alarm as my mind starts over thinking. I can’t believe I dreamed of Grey. I haven’t done that in the last year and a half. I shake my head then shutter a little. “Nope. I’m good. It was bad enough I had to see that and go through that within my pack. I mean they weren’t disrespectful to their parents or anyone else. ZaydenWhen I wake up I’m shocked I actually slept all night with no dreams, no waking in the middle of the night and no go back to sleep. I stretch before getting up to go to the bathroom. I grab my boxers and slide them on under my towel. Once they are in place I remove the towel and grab my jeans sliding them up to my hips. I grab my shirt and slide over my arms and button it up leaving the top two buttons un done.I tuck the bottom of my shirt in to my jeans before buttoning and zipping them up. I walk back over and grab the belt off my jeans from last night and put it on. As I’m finishing putting it through my belt loops I hear the water shut off and within a few seconds Grey is stepping out with a towel hanging loose on his hips.I watch as he strolls over and grabs his clothes. He drops his towel and slides on his boxers. I turn my attention back to fastening my belt and grabbing my phone out of my night pant bottoms and putting it in my jean pocket. I go back to the jeans I wore last night and grabbed my wallet and knife I always carry with me. It’s not for protection but it’s a gift my grandfather gave me before he passed away.
