Chapter 24
The sun is beating down on me through the cracks of the limbs as I lay under a canopy of trees. A beautiful breeze is blowing my fur slightly and the smell of fresh air is all around. I open my eyes when I feel a little movement to my left on my body. I look over and see Walker sleeping against me. I nuzzle his cheek trying to wake him up. I watch as he wraps his little arm around my leg and cuddles closer. I wish I could show him my wolf.
I haven’t been able to shift since we rejected our mates. Nyx says she is fine, that it’s just taking longer since we had two of them for her health and strength to come back. I jolt awake right as my alarm goes off. I shut off my alarm as my mind starts over thinking. I can’t believe I dreamed of Grey. I haven’t done that in the last year and a half. I grab my boxers and slide them on under my towel. Once they are in place I remove the towel and grab my jeans sliding them up to my hips. I grab my shirt and slide over my arms and button it up leaving the top two buttons un done.I tuck the bottom of my shirt in to my jeans before buttoning and zipping them up. I walk back over and grab the belt off my jeans from last night and put it on. As I’m finishing putting it through my belt loops I hear the water shut off and within a few seconds Grey is stepping out with a towel hanging loose on his hips.I watch as he strolls over and grabs his clothes.
