I shake my head then shutter a little. “Nope. I’m good. It was bad enough I had to see that and go through that within my pack. I mean they weren’t disrespectful to their parents or anyone else. Just me.” I finish my tea and set my cup down on the side table.
“So, tell us about this pack we are going to? What’s it like?” Bailey asked with curiosity.
“Honestly I wasn’t there long enough to know much about it but what I can say is it’s a pretty big pack. When I was there they didn’t have much. Just a few stores here and there, a café, coffee shop, barber shop and school for the kids. But there are a lot of people.
I always heard that people would have to drive at least an hour and half to a city and not just a town.”
“Wow that sounds like a small rural town.” Bailey whispered before stating a little louder. “Hopefully they upgraded some like you have in this sma
ZaydenWhen I wake up I’m shocked I actually slept all night with no dreams, no waking in the middle of the night and no go back to sleep. I stretch before getting up to go to the bathroom. The smell of coffee hits my nose. I inhale because it smells like the stuff we have on the plane.Wonder if Grey grabbed some before we got off. I shrug it off and go to the bathroom to do my business. Once I’m done I walk back to the room and grab a pair of sleep pants. I put them on before walking out of the room and down the hall way.The smell of bacon and eggs makes me walk a little faster as my stomach starts to growl hungrily. I feel like I haven’t eaten in years. I mean technically that’s not true but I haven’t eaten as much as I should. When I get to the kitchen Grey is just plating the food. He turns and smiles to me.“I heard that monster demanding food all the way in here.” He chuckles while
I grab my boxers and slide them on under my towel. Once they are in place I remove the towel and grab my jeans sliding them up to my hips. I grab my shirt and slide over my arms and button it up leaving the top two buttons un done.I tuck the bottom of my shirt in to my jeans before buttoning and zipping them up. I walk back over and grab the belt off my jeans from last night and put it on. As I’m finishing putting it through my belt loops I hear the water shut off and within a few seconds Grey is stepping out with a towel hanging loose on his hips.I watch as he strolls over and grabs his clothes. He drops his towel and slides on his boxers. I turn my attention back to fastening my belt and grabbing my phone out of my night pant bottoms and putting it in my jean pocket. I go back to the jeans I wore last night and grabbed my wallet and knife I always carry with me. It’s not for protection but it’s a gift my grandfather gave me before he passed away.
EverleighWe made it to Silver creek territory and got checked in to our Hotel. We decided to wait a day before doing anything. We are around 20 miles from the packhouse in the business district. We plan on shopping and eating and relaxing before going back tomorrow.Since I haven’t been this far out before I am kind of looking forward to it. Walker hasn’t been anywhere out of town so he is like a hyperactive person after eating way to many sweets.Sophia has never been in a pack territory before so she is a bit jumpy even though Silver creek is a very good pack to humans. I notice there are a lot walking around. We decided to walk and enjoy the scenery since everything was pretty close together. My four protectors have been walking in a semicircle around us just in case. I don’t think anyone here would know who I am but I am still afraid that someone will notice me and tell Zayden and Grey. I don’t want to
“There is an attack.” She said as she went behind the counter. “Would you all like a coffee? Something to eat while we wait?”“You don’t have to do that ma’am.” I tell her putting Walker down.“Nonsense.” She said waving her hand at me. “I love cooking. That’s why I opened this bakery. I live above this place so I have the stuff to make actual food and not just sweets.”I chuckle. “Ok. Do we know how long we will be here?”“The sirens will go off once everything is clear. The longest they have went off before was a full day.”“Wow. Glad they have the system though. At least it helps keep people safe.” Nora said in awe.“Yes dear. They were put in effect around four or five years ago when rogues kept attacking our pack.” She said as she started pouring coffee in to cups. She grabbed a juice box out from the fridge and
“What’s in it? It smells good.” Blake asked as he took the ladle from Mable and scooped some in to a bowl for Nora then himself.“Carrots, cabbage, canned tomatoes, hotdogs, a few other things and seasonings.” She said taking a bite. “After my grandfather passes away gran would always make this for us once a week to always remember him by since that was his ‘diet’ food.” She chuckled.“I don’t see how it’s healthy.” Bailey whispered as she took a bite then moaned.“I don’t see it either dear but he swore by it. I cook it because I like it. Want some bread?” Mable asked the table. We all nodded and she handed out the bread. I look at Walker and smile. He is so engrossed in what he is watching that he isn’t even paying attention to what he is eating as puts the empty spoon in his mouth.“Baby you have to put food on the spoon before taking a bi
ZaydenThese rogue attacks are getting ridiculous again. When Grey and I got back we got told there was four attacks in the span of thirty-six hours. We have no idea what they want or why they are attacking us. Anytime we have a rogue captured they end up dying within a few hours. We can’t figure out how or why it’s happening. It’s becoming frustrating. After this attack tonight something seems really fishy. I’m going to have to call and see if other packs in the area are getting attacked also. I have a feeling they are but I need to see if they have any information for me about these rogues. As I enter the packhouse I notice it’s busy. People all over the place trying to straighten things back up and helping the injured, getting people out of the bunkers and back home. I see Dev and walk over to him as he directs a group of teenagers to help with the children find their parents. Thankfully no one got seriously hurt this time.“Dev.” I say as I get close enough to him. His head whips
“Said anything yet?” I asked him looking back at the guy. He doesn’t look like a rogue but he has no scent so we can’t be sure.“No but we were also waiting on you. I know you would have more fun.” He said smirking at me. I chuckle.“Let’s get to it.” I said taking a few steps to the door and turning the handle opening the door. The rogues head tipped up growling.“Shut up. If anyone has the right to be pissed off it’s me and my pack.” I told him taking the chair against the wall and grabbing it putting it down around five feet in front of him. I walk around the chair and sit down looking at him.“I won’t tell you shit.” He spits out.“Probably not but we have our ways to get you to talk.” I tell him cocking my head to the side.“Whatever you thinking of doing I have had worse.” He says between growls. “You won’t brea
“You can stop this by telling me about the girl you are after.” I tell him as I leave him panting on the chair and walk back over the cabinet dropping the whip on the floor. I look over the tools again. I stop and pull out a pair of pliers and a knife.I know we are wolves and have claws but I prefer not to put my hands or claws in to our “guest” mouth or other openings unless I’m tearing out their hearts or slitting their throats. My hand tightens around the instruments as I walk back over to the rogue. I sit in the chair across from him. I put my elbows on my knees as I lean towards him a little bit.“Now tell me about this woman.” I demand pushing out my alpha aura. I know it doesn’t work on people who are not in my pack but you never know if he might have ties somewhere along the way.He is panting hard as I watch the flames turning purple as they heat up then blue as they cool down. The hotter the
