I nearly choked on the glass of water I held when Eric mentioned me as his escort.

“I'm your escort? Like, you mean I'll go with you?” I asked, not believing my ears. Eric Sloan is just something else. Was this some part of his game where he takes me somewhere to threaten me again or disgrace me?

Eric stared at me blankly and nodded. “Yes, obviously. You'll have to go with me. I need you there with me,” He replied. My stomach tingled in sensation as my cheeks heated a blush even though I didn't know what ceremony event it was.

Agatha was already boiling with rage from her seat, and I was tempted to laugh out.

“Seriously, Eric? You'll make her your escort? I'm starting to think this fake thing you claimed is beginning to turn real!” Agatha busted out before she could stop herself. She stood up, glaring at me murderously.
