Sex with Gonzalo was great as usual. River wouldn't mind spending the rest of her life with him if they were going to keep having such crazy morning shower sex.

But then, of course, she loved him so much— and that was that.

Being with Rain and him was soothing. However, the recurring factor in their lives was that ‘thing’ that always happened to disrupt their plans.

One of which was the interruption by those poor kids whose families had also suffered the tyranny of the rogues. She could hear them crying, begging Sofia to help save their mother probably because they knew no one else would.

Everyone had been forced to cower… to retreat into their shells and save their asses alone. No one wanted to be the hero. Being the hero was synonymous with stupidity now. All of these needed to change.

People needed to start helping one another again. They needed to stop acting as though seeing young kids carrying their injured father with wails and cries for help was a norm
