37. Mysterious Occurrence

  I nervously knocked on his bedroom door. I hoped Aaron was telling me the truth and Jake wanted me back as much as I wanted him.

"GO AWAY, AARON! I said I don't wanna come out," Jake and from inside.

"It.. it's Jane," I said.

The door flew open.

"Janey!" he cried and threw his arms around me and pulled me into a hug. I buried my face in his chest.

"I thought you would never speak to me again after the way I treated you. I'm so sorry," he whispered into my hair.

"I'm sorry too. For everything," I said. My eyes were full of tears. It felt too good to be in his arms.

"It wasn't your fault Janey. I was a jerk to you and my brother was the biggest idiot on the planet," he reassured me.

"I deserve that!" Aaron shouted from another room.

I tiptoed and smashed my lips against his.

"Ouch!" he cried. Shit, I forgot his nose was messed up.

"I'm so sorry!" I yelled.

Jake laughed.
