35. Dinner with Parents

On the night of the dinner, I sat in front of Jake and Aaron's parents. The atmosphere was intimidating.

"So you are Jake's girlfriend? Jake never brought a girl before, so this is a surprise," Jake's mom Tracy raised her eyebrows at me. What's so surprising about it? I thought but didn't ask.

"In case you forgot, big bro, you weren't so angelic yourself," Jake said.

I fidgeted nervously. Hopefully, this dinner doesn't turn into some kind of brotherly dual. For once, I want a peaceful night.

"At least I admit my faults. But, unfortunately, you are still an immature jerk who takes things that didn't belong to him," Aaron's face was slowly turning red as he was getting angry.
