Third Person's POV

The doorknob was too hot, so Evelyn ripped off the bottom portion of her shirt and wrapped it around the doorknob. She slowly cracked the door open and was relieved there were no longer flames.

She stepped into the hall and looked left, the direction they came from. She could feel the heat coming from that direction, but there were no flames. She looked to her right and saw a door at the end of the hall. Evelyn didn't wait; her feet carried her as fast as they could and she quickly reached the door.

She tried the handle, and it was locked. She growled in frustration before ramming her shoulder against it over and over again until it finally gave way. The door flung open to reveal stairs leading down.

Her heart jumped, and she ran down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs she had the option to turn right or left, she turned right, and came face to face with a large metal door—this one was larger and more heavy-duty than the door up top.

Evelyn turned the knob,

I really hope these last few chapters lived up to hype and your expectations. I tried really hard to perfect Ezra coming into his powers and becoming King. I wanted it to be perfect, I hope it was close. Evelyn and Nadja... Oh my heart! This was long overdue. 💗

Third Person's POV “Wait! Roman! Grab Roman,” Nadja begged, and Lexon came to a halt.“Who?” Vincent asked. “He's down there,” Nadja points behind Lexon.“Here,” Lexon said as he tossed the keys to Grayson. Grayson walked down the aisle, scanning the cells, and was surprised they had such a large cell block with only two people in it. “Wait, he'll be scared without me,” Nadja said when Lexon began walking toward the exit. Lexon stopped as Grayson stuck the key into Roman's cell door. He slowly entered the cell and felt bad when he saw the Omega trying to make himself as small as possible, tucking himself into the corner as if trying to disappear. “I won't hurt you,” Grayson said before Nadja called out to Roman. “Roman, these are the people I've told you about. They're here to rescue us. Let him carry you out,” Nadja explained , and the Omega slowly peaked his head up from his arms covering his face.Grayson's lips tugged up at the sight of the Omega's beautiful brown eyes. Eve

Third Person's POV Aero couldn't think of anything aside from getting his mate out of there. The little dragon consumed his every thought; his only instinct was to get him to safety. The Omega dragon was frightened by the strange sensation and began looking around. He was shocked by the sudden blur and quickly buried his face in the vampire's neck. The movement ceased, and he slowly pulled his face away from the Vampire’s neck. His eyes widened, and he gasped when he saw they were no longer in his cell room. The room they were in now was more beautiful than anything he had ever seen. Red and gold decorated the walls and drapery. A large lavish bed sat in the middle of the room with tall poles at all four corners. Sheer fabric draped over the top, causing the Omega to reach out and touch it to see what it felt like.As his eyes scanned the room, he barely noticed the person holding him began to move. He barely noticed the person who held him in his arms until he felt fingertips ligh

Third Person's POV Evelyn opened her eyes, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Nadja looking at her. His hand reached up, and her eyes filled with tears as he gently cupped her cheek. Evelyn's eyes closed as she leaned into his touch. Her face turned, and his breath stuttered when her lips pressed against his palm.“I missed you so much! I thought about you every day… I never stopped looking for you,” “I missed you too, angel! More than you'll ever know,” Nadja said, his lips trembling against her forehead as he struggled not to cry. “I dreamed of you a million times, and each time, I prayed I wouldn't wake up so I could stay with you.” “I won’t be able to live without you,” Evelyn whispered, and Nadja pulled her tighter into his arms.Evelyn's eyes closed, and the tears fell. It never felt so good to be in someone's arms as it did to be in his. She finally felt like she was where she belonged. The emptiness inside of her was finally filled. She finally has him back, her knigh

Third Person's POV Aero scratched his head as he looked at the Omega and tried to figure out how to make his clothes fit him. The poor thing was drowning in his clothes.Sweatpants weren't part of his wardrobe. He wouldn't be caught dead in them! All of his pants are way too wide; not even his smallest belt would work. “Oh, I know,” The Elder said. A moment later, he held a pair of boxer briefs toward the Omega, and he flinched, causing Aero's heart to clench. “You can wear these. They should fit you like shorts.” The Omega cautiously took them from the vampire's hand. His eyes glanced around the room for danger before turning his back to the vampire and slipping them on. As soon as he let go of the shirt, it dropped back below his knees, covering most of his body and hiding signs of the abuse he endured. “Why don't you get comfortable, and I'll get you something to eat,” Aero said as he pulled the blankets back. The little dragon looked around nervously, trying to figure out whe

Third Person's POV Ezra, Lexon, Aero, and Grayson throw their empty vials of the antidote into the garbage before facing one another. Everyone grabs hold of each other before Ezra teleports them. Seconds before Ezra teleports them, he senses something unusual, a significant change in the location, which causes him to change his destination, landing them outside, several hundred feet from the building. Ezra and Grayson take a step forward in shock. Their mouths hang open as they feel the ground shake and hear the loud roar from the sky. An incredibly large dragon with black, steel blue, and brick red scales flies above the compound with a steady stream of fire barreling out of his mouth, engulfing the building in fire. The dragon continues making passes around the building. Draven sucks in a breath, opens his mouth, and exhales as he roars, blowing flames along the building as he flies past. Smoke seeps from the dragon's body. The spaces between his scales seem transparent, allowing

Third Person's POV The ground shakes as Draven lands. The giant Dragon takes several steps before folding his wings down and shifting. Atticus stands in all his glory, staring at the building engulfed in flames. Ezra disappears and, a moment later, returns, standing next to Atticus with a pair of shorts for him.“What was this place? Why couldn't I feel them until now?” Atticus asked, unable to take his eyes off of the burning building.“This was their main facility where they bred your people to be feeders. We were unaware they had any of your people. We knew they had elves. We have already taken down the two elf breeding facilities. All the Omegas born stayed here. All the dominant ones were shipped off to their underground feeding rinks throughout the states. This place had a spell hiding it. It prevented us from locating Nadja, and it prevented you from locating your people. When Ezra came into his powers here, he blew half of his place apart. When he did that, he broke the spel

Third Person's POV Ezra appeared next to Aero. Roman was tucked in his arms with his face buried in his neck. Naham held on tight to Aero's arm. He let his eyes scan the people in the tent, and he began panicking. There were too many people. But somehow, the ones that bothered him the most were his own people. It was a reminder of what he just escaped from. They were still dirty and covered in dry blood, dirt, and the scent of sex still lingered on many of them. Naham slowly backed out of the tent but yelped when he backed into someone. He spun around, and his heart stopped when his eyes landed on his King. The king’s hands gently gripped his arms, preventing him from falling. His mouth moved, but he couldn't hear him. He was too shocked by what he saw, smelled, and felt. His aura was intense, and his dominance was incredibly strong. The scent of smoke lingered, and he gasped when he saw the king's dragon's eyes. Atticus's eyes swirled with flames as Draven peered out at him. The k

Third Person's POV Aero ignored the smirk on her face as he walked around the bed and climbed in. The elder sat back against the headboard and let out a long loud sigh. “Oh my God, is it that bad? What did you do?” She laughed, and he pinched the bridge of his nose. “I don't get this fucking bond! I hate that I want him so much! But more than that, I hate that he doesn't want me. He's only with me because of his son,” Aero said, his heart feeling like someone had reached inside his chest and ripped it out.“This is stupid!... Why does this bond even exist?! This whole bond thing is stupid! Can I get rid of it?” Aero asked as he turned to his childhood friend. She giggled as she turned toward him. She reaches forward and tucks his long blonde hair behind his ear before cupping his cheek. “Oh man, you have it bad!” Vanessa teased, and he slapped her hand away.“Damn it, Vanessa! I'm being serious! Are you going to help me, or not? How can I get rid of this damn thing?” He asked angr

Third Person's POV Darien stood in the closet, buttoning his shirt. His mind raced with all the different scenarios of things that could go wrong. He tried not to think of it but couldn't stop his thoughts from racing. What if they didn't like him? What if they hated the fact he was a submissive Alpha and thought he wasn't good enough for their brother? His thoughts spiraled out of control. He had just finished buttoning the last one and gasped when Wyatt suddenly appeared behind him. His strong chest crashed against his back as his arms quickly wrapped around him. Darien smiled as he tilted his head, giving his Alpha access to his neck, which he quickly accepted. Wyatt buried his face against his skin, nuzzling and kissing him.“You're right, maybe we shouldn't go. Maybe we should just lay in bed and snuggle all night. I'm having withdrawals; I need to drown myself in you,” Wyatt's voice was muffled with his lips pressed against his mate's neck. Darien's heart fluttered when the Al

Third Person's POV Grayson's laptop was long forgotten on the little table next to him. The Alpha lies on his side in the daybed, staring at his mate. He loves the Delta's smooth, pale skin and the way his dark, straight hair lies against his forehead. He loves how he chews on his lip while he reads and tilts his head when he doesn't understand something. He loves the time they are spending together, quietly sitting beside each other outside on the balcony, sharing the silence. “So… My job wouldn't be to fight for our people?” Sebastian's soft voice broke the silence. Grayson's heart swelled when he called them “our” people.“No. Your job as Luna is to make sure everyone who cannot fight gets to safety in the event of an attack. We have several bunkers. Normally, we use the two bunkers in the basement of the pack house. In extreme cases, we use the large one under the field beside the pack house, but we haven't used it in a long time. That one is big enough that everyone in the pack

Sebastian laughs as Grayson buries his face in his neck, and his light stubble tickles his sensitive skin.Grayson's heart swells; Sebastian's laughter is music to his ears. He takes a deep breath in of the Delta 3's incredibly sweet scent, and his chest rumbles in satisfaction. The sound coming from his Alpha sends a shiver down Sebastian's spine. “I was studying,” Sebastian said, biting his lip when he felt Grayson's warm breath fan his neck. “It was taking too long! I feel neglected,” Grayson mumbled against his neck, and Sebastian's stomach fluttered. The Delta 3 pulled his head back and looked at Grayson. “I didn't mean to negl

Third Person's POV Ezra has been standing outside Lexon's door for several minutes, trying to get the courage to go in. He reaches up to knock on the door but pulls his hand back and exhales, letting his hand drop to his side. Ezra hangs his head as he turns to walk away, but the door suddenly opens. “Leaving so soon?” Lexon said, and Ezra slowly turned to face him. When Ezra looked at Lexon, he was relieved to see how well he looked. His skin looked completely normal, and his hair was just past his ears. “You look good,” Ezra said as he moved closer. He reached for Lexon's hair but paused when he saw Aero standing a few feet behind Lexon. “Come on in,” Lexon said as he stepped aside. Ezra swallowed before entering Lexon's room. When he entered the foyer, Aero turned and walked back into his brother's bedroom. Lexon nudged his head for Ezra to follow, and he did. As he entered the Elder’s bedroom, he found Jace sitting on the bed, watching a movie while crocheting. Jace looked

Third Person's POV Jace was concerned when Lexon slept the rest of the day, through the night, and into the following day.He was relieved when his brother-in-law knocked on the door late afternoon. Jace grabbed Aero's hand and quickly dragged him to their bed, where Lexon lay asleep. “Should I wake him? He hasn't woken up since he came home. I tried to give him blood, but he said he was too tired and needed a nap. That was yesterday! He hasn't woken up yet! Should I wake him?” Jace said as he tugged at his fingers, looking between his mate and brother-in-law. Aero wrapped his right arm around Jace and ruffled his hair.“He's okay. He was just exhausted. His body is working overtime to heal his body. Your skin is the largest organ in your body. He was burned from head to toe. 100% of his skin was burned off. I can tell the difference already. His skin is no longer transparent, and his hair is beginning to grow. See, look,” Aero said as he pointed to the stubble growing on Lexon's he

Third Person's POV Darien was excited but nervous. It was not only the first time he'd cooked in two years but also the first time he'd cooked for Wyatt. Wyatt's nose immediately flared as he entered the apartment. His eyes darted around as he closed the door and didn't stop until they landed on Darien. His eyes moved from Darien to the kitchen table, and his lips parted. For a moment, Wyatt is unable to move or speak. His lack of movement makes Darien even more nervous, and realizes he made a mistake. “I, I can make something else if you don't like spaghetti and meatballs. I, I should have asked you first if you liked it. I can whip something else up,” Darien said as he picked up his plate and Wyatt's. Wyatt was beside him instantly and took the plates from his hands. He set them down before grabbing Darien's waist with his left hand and pulling the smaller Alpha toward him. “I love spaghetti! I was just surprised that you did this for me. I wasn't expecting it,” Wyatt said soft

Third Person's POV Darien had a hard time falling asleep. He kept staring at the door and wishing Wyatt would walk through it. The minutes ticked by, and sleep refused to come. Darian glanced at the clock and decided maybe just a little peek would do. As quietly as he can, Darien pulls the blankets back and climbs out of bed. His sleep pants hang low on his waist, and his bare feet are silent against the wood floor as he walks down the hall. He pauses when he realizes the TV is on in the living room. But after a moment, he wonders if Wyatt fell asleep with it on. He didn't think he was watching TV; the sound was off. As quietly as he could, Darien walked into the living room. His heart raced, afraid of getting caught. He was relieved to find the Alpha fast asleep. His eyes were closed, and his lips were parted. He looked so peaceful, Darien thought as he stepped closer. He let out a quiet breath as he sat on the chair beside the couch. He put his elbows on his knees and rested his

The way his eyes sparkle with happiness as they walk hand in hand down the street. The way he opens the door for him, keeping his body between him and the road, showing chivalry, and making him feel special. It's something he never thought he would feel after what happened to him. He never thought anyone could possibly accept someone like him, but this man does. Wyatt does it so effortlessly. Darien smiles as Wyatt pulls him into another store. “What kind of art do you like?” Wyatt asked as he pulled him toward the wall of paintings “Maybe we can hang something behind the couch; what do you think?” Wyatt asked as he looked intently at the paintings, studying each one.“Um, I don't know. I think I like this one,” Darien said as he pointed to a large rectangular painting that would fit perfectly behind t
