Chapter 21

Third Person's POV

Nathan sat at the counter, tugging his fingers as he watched Coal move through the kitchen. Soft music played quietly in the background which Nathan was thankful for. It made it less awkward.

“W-What is your name?” Nathan's soft voice cut through the silence, and Coal froze. His head lifted from the green onions he was chopping, and he turned to look at his mate.

“My name is Coal. What is your name?”

Nathan's heart skipped a beat when he heard his mate's name. He thought it sounded so strong and fitting for his large muscular physique. The man was a beast! You didn't have to smell that he was a bear shifter to know it. His large, muscular body was a dead giveaway.

“My name is Nathan,” He said, and Coal's lips tugged up.

“Nathan, I like it! It's cute, just like you," he said, and Nathan swooned.

“I'm sorry, it's nothing special. I know how to cook, but I need to fill the fridge… and probably the rest of the kitchen,” Coal said as he looked back toward his kitche
