38 - Surprise Of A Lifetime

I absolutely hated to leave Tyson, and I was left to wonder what he would be doing with his evening. Maybe he had some things left to figure out for tomorrow.

I had told him I was going back to find my mother but I had no desire to do that. In reality, she was probably already drunk and sleeping it off. I found myself in the kitchen with a huge bag of chips, a tall chocolate milk and a cookie jar.

“Long day,” I hear, as none other than Jasper walks in.

“They all are anymore,” I admit, sighing.

“Anything I can do to help,” he asks, taking a cookie and sitting next to me. I point at his hand with jest.

“I’m shocked you eat junk food,” I tease, smiling.

While I was absolutely not going to pick Jasper as my suitor, I still felt I could be polite to him. I wasn’t totally sure if he was angry at how I’d left him on his date night. I didn’t need an angry demon looking for revenge, I probably already had that with Leonard.
