Alexa
After waiting in despair for a long moment, the guard gripped my hands. They led me to a white limousine outside of the building. A rough shove pushed me onto the passenger seat. My hands were still bound with chains and my mouth gagged with a cloth.
Once I entered the car, the man who bought me was already seated inside. Without his mask, his bright brown eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. His shoulder-length jet-black hair looked silky enough to run fingers through. He combed it back to his nape.
‘Alexa! He’s our mate!’ Mythril, my wolf, squealed in my mind.
‘No. That can’t be!’
‘Don’t deny it. He’s our mate. The bond is stronger than you think.’ Mythril cheered.
His body was massive, with the suit clinging to his broad chest. His thinly trimmed beard reached his sideburns. It made me wonder how it would feel brushing against my inner thighs. Just imagining it made my body tremble for a moment. The musk scent filled the car, overwhelming me until it felt like I would float onto his lap.
I hate him. The willing man to buy me clearly came with ill intention, but I couldn’t explain this hope growing inside my heart. If the mate bond was the source of this sudden attraction, then I was doomed. I cursed inwardly, trembling in my seat.
The car started moving, and my tears became unstoppable. My only hope of returning to the Silver Moon Pack, my home, had vanished, replaced by a grim future.
“Let’s see…,” the man moved to sit beside me in swift motion.
His alluring scent grew stronger in my nose, as if trapping me to comply and remain silent. His hands reached out toward me, and I shook my head. I tried to retreat, but the car door stopped me. There was no escape. I was trapped.
“It’s okay. I won’t hurt you. I just want to let you off from this gag,” his hands cornered me.
My heart pounded wildly, my tears wouldn’t stop, and fear gripped me. Yet his tone seemed like a command I wanted to obey, not because of his alpha aura—I wasn’t affected by his dominance. It was something more. A mix of disgust and longing that confused me, leaving me frozen as he removed the cloth from my mouth.
My sobs lessened, though my body trembled uncontrollably. I tried my best to suppress the fear and hatred within me. All mixed with Mythril’s joy at finding her second-chance mate.
“Are you okay? Did they hurt you anywhere else?” He asked, his gaze probing.
I shook my head. Maybe, just maybe, he truly wanted to free me.
“Good. What’s your name?” he asked.
My breath was ragged, and my hands trembled amidst the pain of the chains scraping against my wrists. The corners of my mouth ached from the bruises and swelling caused by the gag. The man kept his gaze locked on me as I struggled to voice my name.
“A—Alexa,” I stammered, “Alexa Dawson.”
“That’s a pretty name. My name’s Alastair Knox,” he complimented with a friendly smile.
My breath hitched when I heard that name. Alpha Alastair Knox of the Blood Moon Pack? One of the five strongest packs on the continent?
I rubbed my shoulder against my face awkwardly, trying to wipe away the saliva and blood from my lips. The silver chains binding my wrists clinked caught Alpha Alastair’s attention.
“Could you please untie me? This is all just a misunderstanding,” I whispered.
“Ah, yes, I heard from the broker earlier. You were forced to sell yourself to pay off your father’s gambling debts,” he said.
“Gambling debts? No! That wasn’t my father’s debt. It was my stepmother’s debt. I had nothing to do with her debt at all. Please, could you let me go?” I pleaded with him.
I thought he was my mate. I thought he would understand and free me like a pure Alpha-blooded girl deserved to be treated. But he growled, his clawed hand gripping my neck and jaw. I shrieked, but my voice caught in my tightening throat.
“Let you go? You think after I paid a million dollars for you, I’d just let you go?” He clenched his jaw, his face drawing closer.
His commanding tone made my body shiver. I had made a grave mistake. He had no intention of freeing me, as I had foolishly hoped.
“I don’t give a fuck whose debt it is. I’ve bought you, so you have to pay for it. If you don’t have the money, the only way is to pay with your body.” He leaned closer, inhaling the scent of me.
I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling his warm breath on my neck. Oh, how I hated myself for feeling the tingling sensation coursing through. As well as the regret for thinking he would save me. My head shook to break free from him.
“Please, let me go. Aren’t we mate? Don’t you feel it?” I asked him between my shaky breaths and the sobs that choked me.
“Yes, I feel it. That’s exactly why I won’t let you go. You will bear Lycan children for me and use your magic power to help me rule the land.” His words clarified everything for me.
It felt like a splash of cold water, waking me from the delusion of returning to a peaceful life in the Silver Moon Pack. The dream of becoming a respected Luna standing beside my mate vanished in an instant. Alpha Alastair held me tighter, then licked my ear, making my face warmer instantly.
Why couldn’t I resist him? Why didn’t I want to reject him? It was as if my body betrayed my feelings, letting me suffer in the turmoil. Two opposing emotions pulled me in different directions.
“Can you feel it, mate?” He chuckled beside me.
“I don’t want this! I reject you—” My rejection enraged him.
He cut me off with a hard slap to my cheek. My heart nearly stopped as his clawed hand grazed my face. Alpha Alastair laughed in his hoarse voice.
“How fortunate. My mate is a Lycan who can heal herself in no time. You sure are the perfect match for me,” he whispered, his claws forcing my head to turn toward him.
His other hand pressed against my thigh, creeping beneath the skirt I wore. Tears streamed down my face again as my body tried to retreat from him. His hands held my waist and thighs even closer. His fingers dug into me as I struggled.
“No! Stop it! Let me go!” I shook my head.
I should have kicked him. I should have tried to clamp my legs shut, keeping my body away from him. But I gave in as he spread my thighs wider.
“Don’t resist. We are fated mates. Nothing will stop us from mating with each other. Especially if I demand it,” he said with a crooked grin.
Cursed this fated bond! I whimpered and trembled under his touch. His hand held me so tight in place.
“Are you really a virgin?” he asked as his fingers brushed my inner thigh.
AlexaThe car sped at a high velocity. I knew about Rider, a car modified to absorb the energy of the driver and passengers to speed up faster. I knew I was riding it now because my head felt increasingly dizzy. My stomach felt worse and worse. My emotions were scattered all over the place.“Answer me!” Alpha Alastair roared. My body jolted at the sound of his voice directly in front of my face. Trembling, I tried my best to remain strong.“I’m not,” I whimpered.“What?”“I’m not a virgin,” I confessed to him.He froze upon hearing my words. He gripped my neck tighter, and I saw his eyes burning bright crimson. His other hand dug into my inner thigh.“Who took it?” he grunted.I shook my head, refusing to answer him.“Answer me, who took it?” He asked, his words slow and deliberate.I grew more uneasy and chaotic. In the midst of my swirling emotions, I opened my mouth slowly. I didn’t know what to say to him. But his gaze bore into mine, making me obey him in a silent command.“Alpha
AlexaThe stranger’s voice howled in pain. I stopped running and turned back. My heart sank as I saw him now covered in wounds, overwhelmed. A guard held him down while the Gamma pummeled the man’s stomach.‘He’s losing numbers!’ Mythril leapt restlessly in my mind.I bit my lower lip as I watched the pain on the man’s face with each punch from the Gamma. The emotion inside me grew. With raging breaths, I pondered the moral decision I should choose.Could I help him? Was I strong enough to fight them? I groaned when finally I pushed my feet to run back toward them.‘Yes, girl! Let’s kick those asses!’ Mythril cheered.I ran until I was close, but still at a safe distance. Amid the chaos of the fight, I paused in front of a tree. I've never done it before, but the strength in me grew larger in each second. My confidence surged up. I hugged the large tree. My arms wrapped around its trunk.‘For those who grow, there will be wilt.’ I focused all my thoughts on the tree I was holding. The
AlexaI mourned my fate in the corner of this small boat. My hands wrapped around my knees as my tears refused to stop.I didn’t know why all of this was happening to me. I had never felt full affection from my parents in my entire life. My mother died when I was little, protecting me from a rogue attack. My father, the former Alpha, passed away six months ago due to a heart attack.Since my father died, my stepmother and stepsister treated me as a servant in the house my parents left behind. I thought I only needed to endure until I turned 18 and gained a strong wolf. Turns out, I couldn’t control my wolf’s strength, making me seem as if I was wolfless, unable to transform. The day I was taken away was the day I was supposed to reclaim my inheritance rights to my parents’ house and belongings. That day, I was supposed to meet my father’s lawyer. But this event clearly prevented me from doing so.My hand supported my forehead. My tears flowed as bitter laughter accompanied my journey.
Alexa“Are you some sort of courier for the Silver Moon Pack? Or maybe Alpha Gabriel ordered you to pick me up?” I asked Harlow on the bus. The man still had a stiff expression, his forehead furrowed. After three hours of travel, he still sat silently beside me, not answering a single one of my questions. His arms were crossed over his chest, and his eyelids remained closed, ignoring me. “Hey, where are we actually going? Are we going back to Silver Moon?” This time, I gently squeezed his arm. Once again, a jolt of electricity sparked from the touch of our skin. He jolted awake, and I reflexively backed off. His eyes widened, and he clicked his tongue in irritation. “Can you stop that?” he snapped at me. “That’s not me,” I shook my head innocently.“Then stop talking,” he grumbled. Before he could close his eyes again, I leaned toward him. My head now turned, wedging my body between the narrow seat space. Without touching him, I asked him again. “At least answer me. Or are you p
Alexa“You can’t leave me here alone. Aren’t you supposed to protect me?” My eyes widened with a deep frown on my forehead. I looked into his dark eyes, which I couldn’t decipher. It was as if a blazing fire was hidden behind them. His jaw tightened. I thought he would change his decision, but he shook his head.“I have to go. There are things I need to do elsewhere. Besides, it’s better if we split up so those Alphas won’t easily track us down,” he scowled.“But—But how?” I stammered. “Go inside and ask for a man named Mr. Moris. He’ll help you,” he replied indifferently. The thought of entering a strange place alone and meeting a stranger filled me with anxiety. I bit my lower lip, furrowing my brow, and stared at Harlow, trying to persuade him one more time. “Please, stay with me just a little longer. At least until I meet Mr. Moris and know that everything will be safe,” I pleaded with him. Harlow raised an eyebrow. “If this place isn’t safe, do you think being with me would
AlexaFor a moment, the three of us were engulfed in tense silence while the people around us continued to cheer for Jo's victory or cry over her opponent's loss. I blinked, opened my mouth soundlessly, and Mr. Moris only squinted at me.‘I knew this was going to be a bad idea!’ Mythril complained.“Do you need money or something? She didn’t have it. She was just sold to an Alpha and ran away,” said Harlow, his brows furrowed.“Bad news, everyone has problems in this neutral zone. I don’t give a damn where you heard of me, but if you think I’ll give her a damn bed and free food, let alone train her,” he caught a breath, glancing back and forth between me and Harlow, “then you’re gravely mistaken. She’s not good enough,” the man scoffed.‘Not good enough,’ Mythril whined in my head, echoing those words in my head.I furrowed my brows and bowed my head. Was I truly worthless? Was I destined to be a punching bag for the rest of my life? The man turned away, facing several men who were sha
AlexaI stood face-to-face with a girl named Jo on top of the square ring. A black iron fence surrounded us like a tight cage. It was clear they wouldn't let either of us leave freely. The choices were to leave on a stretcher or walk out with the mark of victory. My heart pounded in rapid beats, and my breathing grew heavier. After a few minutes of warm-up in the locker room earlier, I might still have a chance to win. Jo couldn’t possibly be any stronger after her fight against the big guy earlier, right? Both of my fists rose in the air. They trembled after last week's training session, which didn’t end up well for me. Bruises on my body healed in just a day, but that didn’t make me a better fighter. Always the same weak Alexa.“Fight!”Our eyes locked with unwavering determination. I moved my feet with small jumps. The ring turned out to be soft, allowing me to move easily.Jo threw some punches at me, but I dodged. Her punch aimed at my right cheek, so I evaded to the left. The sa
AlexaI stood still as I heard the reality of it. Werewolves and other magical races could heal themselves quickly, while humans healed slower and were vulnerable to various other complications. Compared to an Omega, an ordinary human was physically weaker. With wounds like that, how could she survive? Her body was bleeding crimson, and I could only stare at the engrossed view. The crowd around me roared, expressing their disappointment at my victory.‘What the hell? Why are they going crazy like this?’ Mythril voiced its protest.“I…” Amid my panic, my voice stuttered.Somehow, the noise died down. The shouting began to quiet, and the crowd parted, making an open way through the crowd. I turned to see the middle of the room, and the once-curses shifted to murmurs.Mr. Moris walked calmly through the room. He opened the iron gate of the ring and stepped inside, accompanied by two men carrying an empty stretcher. They looked like medics, and they took her body away. After they left, Mr
AlexaI sat beside Gabriel’s bed, lost in thought. The blonde man still had his eyelids closed, his breathing steady. Two days had passed since that cursed wedding day, yet he had not regained consciousness. The wound from Harlow’s attack had a severe impact on him.It was understandable, since Harlow had torn through a vital point in his neck. If Mrs. Geeny had been late to help with the regenerative ritual, Gabriel might have died. Fortunately, he survived enough to go to the hospital.I gazed out the window into the dark night. The night had grown late, and the time showed exactly eight in the evening. I had been here for thirty minutes, observing his unchanged condition. Regardless, my bond with him compelled me to ensure his safety, even if I was slightly reluctant. While Gabriel and Harlow’s case was being discussed, Mr. Pascoe took over as acting Alpha. Until the matter of succession settled and punishment decided, nothing was certain. Even my house had to wait for the elders’
Romero“Alpha Romero, with all due respect, why were you so sure that all this was not a fabrication by two female witches?” asked Mr. Darius, still with his false bow.I reconsidered everything they had shown me during my time here. This Silver Moon Pack could be an unfriendly environment, especially for the Omegas. These elders—I didn’t know what authority they had. But judging by their behavior, they were merely old people who interfered too much in the governance. My eyelids closed as I recalled all the memories of that wolf-head necklace. A precious heirloom from my father, now completely gone after revealing the memories it saw in silence. The necklace, passed down from my grandfather to my father, was given to a woman named Diana instead of my mother. The story of a true mate who ran away from my father, driving him mad. It turned out that the woman was the sister of the elder in the Silver Moon Pack. Was that why the Moon Goddess had destined me to meet Alexa? This was a golde
AlexaI was still watching the two young girls. Invisible, I saw everything that happened about the necklace. Everything related to the wolf-head pendant and Harlow unfolded one by one.“I know, I know. This is too much to ask, I know, but I don’t have a choice. I’m dying, Trudy.” Diana’s hands gripped Gertrude’s arms. “I don’t have time.” Diana’s tears fell, and she struggled to form words.“They banished me. My parents, they didn’t want anything from me or my son. They said I was a disgrace to them.” She sobbed.“Oh no, Diana. Maybe it was only temporary. They are respected nobles in the pack, and I had worked as their servant for five years. Not once did they ever hit me,” Gertrude tried to reassure her. “Besides, you are their blood relative. There’s no way they can abandon their child and grandchild.”“No, Trudy. This was real. They wouldn’t listen to me.” Diana lowered her tear-streaked face.“I need to save this child. I would do anything for him, but I’m dying, Trudy. Please,
AlexaHarlow now stood beside me. He had replaced Lorraine, who had now sat back in her original seat. In his hand, a silver necklace with a wolf-head pendant reflected a soft light on his face. Harlow turned to me, seeking support.‘It’s okay, Harlow. Let’s do this.’ I nodded at him while voicing my conviction. He nodded in return. I looked at the brass cauldron. The silver water had been replaced with fresh liquid. The servants and Mrs. Geeny cleansed it back to its pure state.During the re-cleansing of the cauldron, people used the time to take a quick break. At least the reception food wasn’t wasted, and the guests ate until nothing was left.During the break, to avoid unpleasant remarks, I checked on Alpha Gabriel’s condition. He was still unconscious from the sedative. I didn’t know what would happen when he woke up, but he would be shocked. There was a slight feeling of pity for him. Of course, this mate bond couldn’t disappear until we performed the rejection ritual. After th
AlexaI was still standing in the view of Lorraine’s memory. The memory fog made me experience firsthand what happened in the past as Lorraine. From the memory in October 2022, anyone affected by the memory fog would understand what Alpha Gabriel did to cheat in the alpha trial.Harlow became the victim. He would also be considered as an accomplice who helped Gabriel in the test. Yet, Harlow was not the only one who would be accused, but also the woman in front of me.“Do you hear me?” asked Mrs. Gertrude to Lorraine.“Sorry, Mama. What was that?” Lorraine asked Mrs. Gertrude. The woman groaned while rolling her eyes upward. “I said, have you given that cake to Beta Drake?”“Oh, not yet,” Lorraine replied, while tucking strands of her hair behind her ear. The next second, Lorraine picked up a transparent nail polish from the table. She ignored Mrs. Gertrude.“Why not
AlexaEveryone in the ballroom shook their heads. Their voices sounded like the buzzing of a swarm of bees rather than the howling of wolves. No one believed Lorraine’s words.“Ms. Lorraine, if Alpha Gabriel cheated during the alpha trial, why did you stay silent even though you knew? You even worked in the secretariat office as the alpha’s assistant.” Mr. Pascoe asked Lorraine, his eyes widening.“He was still the best candidate for alpha.” Lorraine answered with difficulty, her voice hoarse.“Did I hear that correctly? It’s not up to you to decide. There’s a reason we determine the alpha through a series of trials.” Mr. Pascoe’s forehead furrowed. He showed his disapproval of Lorraine’s blind devotion displayed in public.“Now, after the duel challenge, Alpha Gabriel lost to his opponent in the final alpha trial. Don’t you realize this weakens Gabriel&rsq
AlexaThe wedding dress hung up as before in the dressing room. Although there was a slight regret for today’s events, this dress was beautiful. Such a pity—perhaps another time, with the right person. My steps guided me out of the dressing room. My eyes still felt swollen and sore, but the elders did not want to keep waiting too long. I had promised to sit in the ballroom obediently as soon as I changed my clothes. With a green shirt and denim pants, I was no longer a bride. Just an ordinary Lycan girl about to face the trial and investigation of the old men and women. They had the authority to control the alpha, luna, beta, and others in times of crisis like this. Funny, as if their power was greater than the alpha’s, but such were the rules to prevent anyone from abusing power. The elders cleared their throats as soon as they saw me. As I entered the ballroom, the guards closed the door behind me. The room’s decorations
HarlowI closed my eyelids. The pain was too heavy, pressing down to the very ends of the nerves in my brain. If only I could survive tonight, the wound on my arm might heal within weeks. Everything would return to normal as if there had never been a wound.“Alpha Gabriel, did Harlow challenge you to a duel for the alpha title?” Mr. Pascoe’s voice sounded hesitant.“Yes. Alexa and Lorraine are the witnesses.” Alpha Gabriel’s voice was arrogant amid his ragged breaths.“If Harlow can defeat you until you pass out or die, you will step down from your title as alpha." Alexa voiced her threat between sobs.Gabriel burst into laughter. He scoffed at me, helpless on the floor from the pain. I bit my lower lip, trying to find a moment of calm to regain even a sliver of strength my wolf longed for.“You all see for yourselves! Harlow is already lying there, in his last breaths. Look at his severe wounds. I doubt he can defeat me.” Gabriel scoffed.“As long as he hasn’t passed out, he still ha
HarlowBack to present time…I did not expect Gabriel to be this reckless. He had lost control of the situation and was ready to wipe us all out. Instead of keeping a living witness silent with threats, he attempted a killing spree.“Do you think you will survive after doing all this madness? Do you think you could get away from punishment later?” I asked, raising both fists in front of my chest.“Of course! Because I am stronger than you, and I am the alpha.” Gabriel grinned. In an instant, Alexa and Lorraine ran out of the dressing room with panicked screams. Gabriel lunged at me. We rolled across the floor, crashed into a table, and scattering make ups. Pinned by the table, I stopped our movement in an upper hand position for me.I straddled his body, trapping him beneath me. His claws slashed at my ribs beside my left chest. He thought he could rip out my heart.Unfortunately, it wasn’t strong enough to make me surrender. My claws retaliated, slashing deep into the side of his fac
