"Jade, what's wrong," Isabella's voice pulled me from my trance. The moon goddess was no longer there and I knew Isabella hadn't seen her. I didn't want to hide anything from her anymore and for the moon goddess being my guide, it was essential that she knew, but I couldn't tell her now.
I kissed Isabella on the forehead. "Bella, I'm checking something around the lake. I will be right back."
She gave me a suspicious glare and I knew that she didn't believe me. "Did something happen?" Her curiosity peaked, as she stared caringly at me.
"No, don't worry. Please stay here. I will be back before you know it," I said and pulled on my trousers. I grabbed my shirt and wore it as I strode out of the door. Before I opened the door, I turned around, my eyes meeting Isabella's flushed face. I smiled apologetically and said, "I'll make it up to you, I promise."
