The proposal

Alina step inside the studyroom with  so much awe. the room was huge  bigger than the whole area of her apartment. Jordan settle behind the table where he motion Alina to sit at the chair infront.

"I have to apologize for the inconvenience my men had cause you during the day of the wedding." Alina was surprised with the sudden one-hundred-eighty degress change on that man Jordan.

"I knew it! there was really such a mistake on that matter." she answered 

"So to make amends I am offering you an amount to your choice including some things you wish name it you can have it if it is on my capabilities."  He open the drawer and retrieve a checkbook. Alina was making calculation on the amount to complete her saving to buy that dream car.

"Anything?" She had to be sure.

"Anything your heart desires as long as you stay married to me."He said with sacharine smile.

"What?" Alina's eyes ready to pop out of its socket when she heard what he said. 

" That is the only condition I will demand in the mean time."

"What if I will not agree?" she tried to be casual about it but deep inside she feared for the consequences should she refuse,and say goodbye to that dream car.

" Then I don't have a choice but to detain you here until you serve your purpose." He said grinning

" What? that's a crime! You can not detain me, I will report you to the police!" 

"That is exactly what I avoid to happen, that is why  I am offering you ,what you desire to peacefully settle this situation. Or I will resort to desperate measures."

"Meaning?"she tried to test him but she is playing different scenarios in her mind.

" I cannot promise anything at the moment, but I will not have of qualms  using desperate measures to protect my interest.

"So either way I am a loser." She said studying the situation.

,"On the contrary Mrs Smith, You are most to gain here You will have your hearts desire, a nice mansion to stay. money to spend beautiful clothes to wear and most of all you will have the most coveted position to be the wife of Jordan Smith, that's me "and he smiled so cockily that Alina control the urge to smash another vase to his head to release the airs inside.

"How could it be that being married to you could be an asset instead of liabilty?"She doesn't want to undermind him because he is tied to a wheelchair. But she greatly want to burst his cockiness of thinking that every woman would be interested in hm because of his money and position.

"Oh, I may be tied to a wheelchair, but I could give you a run for your money with my abilities in bed, Do you want to have a sample of it ?" He motion to get close to her, and Alina bolted right out of his reach.

"Stay away from me you pervert!" With her crimson face and fear in her eyes. Jordan can't help but be amuse of her reaction.

"So my little wife is a virgin." He laughed so heartilly that Alina vision him with two horns and a tail. She was so afraid that she started crying out of shame and frustration. that's when Hugh return to the room and look at his master questioningly.

"Please, accompany my wife to her room she must be tired to all of this." He told Hugh wiping the amusement from his face.

" I will give you time Alina to decide until tomorrow morning." That's not much time Alina thought but she was glad with the break from the devil himself.

In her room Alina tried to relax her chaotic mind She was wondering she is not a ambitious girl all she wanted in life was to earn a living, Buy that dream car and meet the man of her dreams. She never wanted a huge mansion that she might not be able to find her way around, she doesn't want a lot of money she is not good in accounting, beautiful clothes are not on her list beacuse she doesn't have places to go and parties to attend, and most of all she doesn't want a handsome and attractive husband who is full of himself. She might not be able to fend of the women who will be interested to be in her position, and scheme to kick her out.

But what she wanted is that freedom to move around and do things that she wanted. her once a month visit to her grandmother who raise her up. and to go to work everyday and to travel to places and set-up events.

Which she won't be able to do if that man Jordan will detain her and treat her like a prisoner. She started crying again when the events that lead to her present situation comes back to her mind how could she allow people to push her along and take advantage of her good nature .She was crying her eyes out until she fall asleep., and missing lunch.

By lunch time Jordan inquire about Alina ."Hugh where is Alina?"

"She never came out of the room. "

"How will she be able to come out, You locked the door." Hugh look at him confused.

"But that is what you ordered."

" I know, what I mean is, you should invite her to eat."

"she is sleeping should I wake her up and ask her to come down?"

"Just send her some food."

But later in the afternoon he went to check on her and saw her pitiful position sleeping . maybe he had been too harsh on her, but he cannot control the amusement in seing her reaction to his teasing. He just hope that she will accept his proposion. He kinda like her unassumingly funny ways unlike the other woman whose interest in him was purely material. She's like a breathe of fresh air
