Alina's plans

Alina came down for supper that night and to her delight Jordan was absent in the dining room she was serve by female servant named Martha. She was a good natured woman and Alina easily gave in to her friendliness she gives Alina advises about married life much to Alina's discomfort.

" Probably the woman was unaware that I was just tricked into marrying her master." Alina thought. . Since Alina gew up with her grandmother on the father side, she wasn't able to have experience a motherly attenion That Martha posses. Her father died when she was small and her mother remarried leaving her with her grandmother.

She doesn't have bad feelings for her mother because she is much closer to her grand parents and she thought later on that she might just be a burden to the newly wedded couple trying to build a family of their own. Her step-father was distant to her so she didn't bother to get close to the man thinking that it may cause jealousy on his behalf for her to seek her mother's attention.

When her grandfather died she became even more closer to her grandma since her father was an only child she gets an undivided love and attention from her granddma. In a way she does not seek motherly attention. Too bad her grandma doesn't want to stay with her in the city because of the animals and the small house that was the base of their family ties, her mother comes to visit her once in a while, to keep in touch her grandma does not want to leave the peacefulness of the place compared to the chaotic environment of the city life.

When she retired for the night she thinks about what is the best decision to make maybe if she agree to Jordan, she must also make some conditions and she begin to think about this conditions

The following day was a Monday and Alina get on to her routine preparing for work The only thing that bothers her is, she doesn't know where her location is, how will she able to go to work she does not have her uniform. But when she went down to inquire about it , she was met by that man Jordan raising his eyebrows

"And where do you think youare going Mrs. Smith?"

"It's Monday first day of work. I work to earn a living."

"You are not going to work you are to stay here and wait for my return and we wil have that long awaited conversation about our marriage."

"What? and who gives you the permission to run my life!" she immediately on the fighting mood. He said grinning.

" I have the licence to prove it." He said grinning.

"I did not signed any license so that makes your so called marriage that you brag about null and void!" The look of triump in her face was wiped out when he replied.

"But you did sweetheart, when you signed without reading the delivery note and the waiver receipt. Which is actually the marriage licence atttached with a marriage vow, professing your undying love for 'Jordan Smith' that's me." He is actually grinning from ear to ear seing her brows cross trying to recall the incident.

She indead signed documents without reading in her haste to hurry back to the office and with the urging of that other man David . She didn''t did not realized that the harmless looking documents would seal her fate with this devil. Again she envision him with horns with a tail but this time dancing on fire with his wheelchair.

"You beast You tricked me into marrying you, tricked me into signing those documents, What are you? You don't have a concience, taking away people's freedom to decide for themselves. You are a ruthless man! you... " she cannot continue any more with the mixed emotion playing on her heart she long to approached the man and beat him but she was afraid with that humongous man on his side. Jordan softens when he saw Alina breaking down.

"That's enough sweetheart, we ..." he was unable to continues seeing Alina's eyes blazing with anger and frustration.

"Don't you ever call me that!" and Alina ran back to her room and slammed the door. Big mistake, she again made a big mistake when she heard the lock click. she was again locked inside the room.

Well so much for her resolutions to come and meet Jordan in the middle and had a peaceful agreement . There is nothing left to do but exhaust every possible way to escape. she looked out of the window and looked down studying every possible route to freedom then she gazed further away and long for the freedom that was beyond that enormous gate that would render her breathless if she make a run to it.. But first thing first how to reach the ground without passing the door. She look arond and landed her eyes on the bedsheet,

"Hmmm.. If I tie it around four or five pieces diagonally the lenght must reach the ground." She though then she gather some sheets from the closet, they looked so new and unused but nevertheless I need them to freedom, so she chose those that are not so pretty for the purpose, to lessen her guilty concience. When she was about to tie the ends of the sheets the door openned and a maid carrying a tray of food walks in.

She was surprise at almost being caught in the act. She smiled at the maid to cover her guilt.

"What are you doing Madam?" Alina was shocked that her plan was easily discovered.

It's our job to change the sheets," Then the maid gigled that made Alina wonder what's funny?.

"It's totally understandable were are not so innocent about this things." Then she gigled once more, That infurates Alina realizing what the maid is thinking. she wanrs to beat the maid to some sence. But being violent won't get her anywhere. How dare this maid thought that she spent the night with and have interest on that crippled man But she smiled instead for her plans not to be noticed. which made the maid gigglng more audible. Then she change the sheet super fast and take the old sheet with her.

" I will return for the tray." she said smiling,

"Of course! you have to return, I canot take it myself the door is locked."

"Pardon Madam you were saying?"

"Ahh,, I said thanks and please call me Alina instead. I felt ancient when you call me madam." The maid smile and locked the door.Alina sighed there goes my first attempt at freed
