The marriage set -up

"AHA!" Jordan was behind Hugh who holds a bunch of keys, gave Alina a fright She thought she had succesfully pick on the lock only to find out that Jordan had allowed her tocome out of the closet and she is caught red handed with a wire trying to pick onthe lock. Jordan was amused at the ingenuity of the girl to find ways to be free, only it always failed.

"Come out now Madam. Hugh said Alina looked at him and apologised.

"I'm sorry Hugh I did not mean to hurt you, It's just that you are always caught in the way." She said regretfully.

"I know, Apology accepted I hope it won't happen again." He replied there was a subtle smile on his face that she caught that makes him not too frightening.

"I can guarantee that it, if you keep away from that man." pointing at Jordan.

"I will keep that on mind." He said pensively, Alina observed that this man always seem to be a thinking all the time, he rarely speak and always have that look of ' physically present but mentally absent'."

"Thanks." She said instead

"So you are conniving with my bodyguard in front of my nose? sweetheart."

" I told you not to call me that! " and alina noted that Hugh step aside. at least next time she won't worry that Hugh will be caught in the line of fire.

"Ok Alina, Lets have a truce. is your foot still hurts."

"A little but not that i cannot stand it."She wondered that suddenly he become so sweet.

"Good have some rest and I will sent your lunch up, don't put too much pressure on it."

She was baffled with the sudden turn in his attitutude, and she suspected there is something amidst. she just couldn't trust that man.

When Alina was able to step on her foot she was able to go down to the dining room. Jordan decided to have that discussion about their marriage conditions.

"Alina, I'm sorry that you got caught in ths marriage." jordan tried to find the words to soften her reservation.

"Yes! you should be."She tried to harden her resolve after all she have gone through she will allow it to be easy on him. but Jordan continue.

"But the truth is despite our small fights you really intertaiin me." Ooops wrong words Jordan saw how her expresion turned sour.

"So I am here for your intertainment Mr. Smith" she immediately replied.

"Don't get me wrong, the truth is I am grateful that you are the one that I married."He smiled as to rescue the situation.

"Oh! spare me Mr. Smith don't sugarcoat your words, say it like it is."

"I need your help because of my grandfather wishes." When the mention of grandfather Alina got serious.

"What about?"

" My grandfather want me to inherit the company because he sees that it will grow under my reign.

"Don't you have other relatives a brother, an uncle or even a cousin that can take the reigns of the company?" Her interest was caught.

"I have an uncle and a cousin but grandpa doesn't trust them with the company. and the workers job is at stake if I won't accept . However the biggest business aliance in the company will not sign the renewal of the contract if the one running it is an unmarried like me, and they don't trust me because of my refutation as a plilanderer."

"Now that was honest talking Mr smith." Alina smile for Jordan's honesty.

"So I decided to marry before the signing of the renewal of the contract. that's where you got in the picture."

"What a disaster." Alina has to admit it turn her quiet world up side down and round and round.

" So what I am offering you is everything a wife can ask from her husband all the benefits that a wife can have. "

"And the catch?" Alina brace herself for the worst case scenario.

"You stay married to me for at least a year." Jordan stared intently awaiting her reply.

"And if I don't?" She wants to know her options.

"Please Alina think about it before you refused, " Jordan appeal to her and she feels that she wanted to be swayed by his handsomefac

"Why do you want to keep your e and appealing eyes. But Alina stood her ground she doesn't want Jordan to think that she is easy to be swayed.

"What happens to my job?" She love her job if that is taken away from her i would take a slice of what she is.job?" Jordan was aware that Alina is working in a male dominated work.

"Of course if I will accept your offer at the end of one year what will happen to me if i'm jobless?"

"You have the benefit of inheriting part of what I own personaly for you to start over."

"Being married do I have to do other things aside from acting to be happily married to you."

"You mean your wifely duties?"

"yes."

" Iwill not force you to do things you do not want"

"Do I have to act all the time."

"Beside you and me only Hugh and David knew Martha she can guess but she was not inform."

"Ok, just let me think about it."

"Ok I will give you till Monday"

"But that's tomorrow , You are not in a hurry are you'? Alina starts to panic.

"I have to know your decision by Monday because grandpa wants to meet you, and I have been stalling already too many times he might get suspicious." She felt that she is being sent into the battlefield already.

"From the looks of it, you are sending me to the battlefield too early."

" You don't have to worry about grandpa he will like you. It's my other relatives their too cunning.but you will always have my support."

" By the looks of it your sure that I'll accept."
