The Wedding

Alina  goes to the motion thinking that it was just a dress  rehearsal and the sooner it finished the sooner she will be on her way back to the office. 

She was surprise though, that  if this is just a rehearsal the people was dress formally as in reall wedding ceremony. "Maybe they just put so much seriousness on the ocassion." She thought to herself, she tried to concentrate on the wedding march.

"You can do it Alina just think that you are marching on he isle for your wedding." She told herself looked forward and tried to locate her suppose husband. She  was daydeaming as she took step after step towards the altar. She was  met at the altar by a huge man who is dress in tuxedo.

"Oh my!  he is a huge fearsome  man he looked as if he doesn't even know how to smile." she smiled as she thought, what would happened if she is truly marrying a huge man as this one. Would she survive if ever they will have a fight. His hand are humongously large that it's either she will land in a hospital or the  morgue if ever got caught with a slap.

At this thought she was caught unaware when the huge man stepped back and wheeled in the most handsome man she ever laid eyes on.

"Oh my God! he is so good looking."  She almost swooned when he gave her a piercing stare  his eyes was a deeper shade of light blue. He stare at her as if she feels that she is taking a dip on a pool of cool and refreshing waters. Only those eyes held a hint of impatience, disgust something she cannot fathom. 

" Maybe he is pissed off by his bride not able to attend the dress rehearsal. Pity that he is crippled, he won't be able to chase  his bride should she runaway." She thought. She remembered the scene from the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere movie, and wasn't able to control her chuckle, this earned cold stare from the man as if reprimanding her.

"What's funny?" His voice was a mixture  of clear, whole  and deep voice that sound very appealing. But it held authority that kept  Alina on her toes.

"Oooh Touchy..." She sighed  and rolled her eyes as this thoughts occurs in her head. She replied. "Nothing, "  When the marching song ended the minister began.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered...."

Alina started to panic,  "This doesn't seem to be a dress rehearsal This looks like a real wedding. Oh my God!, What am I suppossed to do?" she told herself. She looked at her right and looked at her left,  the congregation doesn't seem to notice anything wrong. They are all concentrated in the ceremony.

Maybe it is just her or... The man beside her asked "What's wrong?"

" I..." The huge man interupted the minister and said "The groom is getting tired can we skip the  introductions and go right to the wedding vows?"  The minister look at the groom take in his condition and affirmed. "Okay."

"Alina Jones do you accept  Jordan Smith as your lawfully wedded husband.... Till death  do you part." confuse Alina said "What?" so the minister repeated. She is  unable to speak there is so many things playing on her mind and for the third time. The huge man interupted and told the minister that the bride is deaf and her answer is " I do .,"

The minister stopped and looked at Alina's ashen face. Then çontinue to asked the groom., The same thing to which he answered "I do."

"By  the power vested in me I pronounce you husband and wife.You may kiss the bride." The minister said in finality.

When the crippled man pulled Alina in his arms and taken her first kiss. She itched to slap his face but instead she run  to the room and took her dress and bolted to her car or rather to Miss Elaine's car.

She realized that she is still wearing the wedding gown when she found it difficult to drive. but she saw some men coming down to chase her. So she try to manage to drive and leave the place in a hurry.

In a secluded place she manage with difficulty to change into her old dress and tossed the gown aside. She took a while to think clearly "Is it a nightmare Am I just dreaming?" She slap her face  and groan in pain,, "Ouch!" she had it a little too hard. Now the question is? "Am I, or am I not a married woman?" can she contest with the said ceremony? Her headaches with this development. she was deep in thought when she noticed the blinking of her phone in the dashboard.

"Oh my! this is another set back my phone probably needs a replacement or maybe I just need to have it check. it has a mind of its own and suddenly turns to mute, and speaking of mute." She groan and remember how she was unable to speak when she was said to be deaf. 

When she answer the phone she heard a barrage of angry words that she had to place the phone far from her ears. When it was over she just replied "I'm on my way."

Back with the groom, "I want you to find that woman and get her back here! Do you understand?"  To which his men replied

"Yes Boss!"

Nobody has embarrass him that way, Most of the women will throw themselves  at him to have a change to be with him either for the sake of his money or for the sake that they have spend sometime with Jordan Smith.
