William Mackenzie hurriedly replied, "Cassie, this is nothing. You don't need to think about this."

"What do you mean you don't have to? Do you think I can't help you?" Cassandra retorted.

Bill closed his eyes and now began to feel that he might soon have a fight with his wife.

"You know it's not. Cassie, I just don't want to add to your burden. That's it, I'm good to go and as soon as it's over I'll be on my way home," Bill said.

Cassandra who was on the other end was silent for a while.

The beautiful woman was not offended at all and instead felt sorry for her husband who had to think of everything himself.

It wasn't that she didn't want to really help her husband but she felt that Bill was really thinking about her so she chose not to make an issue of it.

"Well, if that's what you want."

Cassandra then talked about a few things before she finally decided on the call.

Bill felt quite comforted after hearing his wife's soothing voice.

Of course, Jody Gardner's words immediately angered William Mackenzie. The man who had been holding back for a long time finally exploded uncontrollably. Unable to contain himself anymore, William Mackenzie said, "If this is what you want, fine. I won't hold back anymore." Jody Gardner was stunned to see a look in William Mackenzie's eyes that he had never seen before. It was a look of intense killing desire that no one could escape. Because as far as he knew, there had never been a single person who could escape death when William Mackenzie had decided to take his life. It was impossible to survive the god of death, almost as impossible as an ant slaying an elephant. The man couldn't help but face it. But before Jody Gardner could defend himself, with a swift movement William Mackenzie, the strongest god of war, grabbed Jody Gardner by the neck and dragged him mercilessly with one hand. He carried him away from the area to give him more freedom to beat him up. Keannu Welling

Jody Gardner replied with a mocking smile, "Do you think you can win against me?" William Mackenzie never expected that Jody Gardner, who used to be his obedient subordinate, had now turned into someone very different. It all happened because of power. As if he could read what the general was thinking, Jody said, "General Mackenzie, I am not your old subordinate who knows nothing." He stared fearlessly and continued, "I now have the same title as you. We are equals. You must also know how I earned that title." William Mackenzie sighed, getting tired of dealing with his betrayed subordinate. "By killing me you mean?" William Mackenzie shook his head, trying to restrain himself from getting out of control. Not wanting to linger and waste time, Jody Gardner attacked without warning. He intended to punch the major general in the chest. But by then William Mackenzie was at the ready and of course in just one action, the strongest general managed to hit his opponent back until Jody

Steven jumped in surprise when he heard the question, but the young man quickly replied, "Yes, General Mackenzie." William Mackenzie nodded, "Bring the body and give it a royal military burial." This left everyone in the palace who had witnessed everything that had happened there shocked at what William had done. It was also true of Keannu Wellington who also looked confused by the general's order. Andrew even asked with a look of astonishment on his face. When Steven asked his fellow guards who loved Jody Gardner so much, Andrew immediately decided to ask, "General, why are you asking for a proper funeral for Jody Gardner? Wasn't he a traitor?" "Yes, General. He plotted a heinous murder against you, why are you honoring him?" another soldier added. William Mackenzie replied, "Jody Gardner is not a traitor. He did not betray this kingdom, but he betrayed me." "As for the matter of him having made many lives disappear, that was his fatal mistake. But ...." William Mackenzie pa

Three months later, the life of William Mackenzie, the former general of Ans De Lou had completely changed. William Mackenzie had chosen to become the CEO of one of his own companies and was living quietly with his beautiful wife who waited patiently for him to come home every night. After the man cleaned up, he quickly joined his wife who was sitting on the bed. "Bill, is it okay if you take two weeks off?" Cassandra asked while she was leaning on her husband's shoulder. William Mackenzie moved his head slightly and looked at his wife with a smile. "Of course, have you forgotten that the company is mine, dear? Even if I don't go to the office for a year, no one will bother me," Bill said so calmly. "I'm the CEO there. Who would dare bother me?" Bill added. Cassandra chuckled, "You're so arrogant coming out of the palace." Bill just grimaced. "I'm not. I just didn't want you to feel-" "Yes, Bill. I know. You already proved it. Hearing the new war general's question, Xylan Wellington laughed awkwardly. It was a laugh that didn't really come off, in fact, it sounded so strange that it made anyone who heard the viceroy's laughter confused.Reiner also looked at Xylan with a strange gaze while James did not even blink. The look in his eyes showed a demand.A demand for an explanation from Xylan regarding what he had just said. When he saw that urgent questioning look, Xylan finally stopped laughing. He cleared his throat softly before saying, "Hm ... I know from the main soldier.""The main soldier?" James repeated as he frowned.Xylan gulped and smiled clumsily, "The king's court soldiers, General Gardner."Oh, that wasn't really what James meant. He knew without even asking that the main soldiers were the palace soldiers specifically assigned to escort and guard him. There were usually five of them and one of them was required to stay by his side

Not wanting to be ignored by James, Reiner asked again, "James, tell me. Are you going to stay in the palace? You're not going to leave, right?"He looked anxiously at James who was staring out the car window. However, after he waited patiently enough he finally heard James answer, "I don't know."Reiner's heart was like being hit by a rock instantly."So ... are you leaving?" the man asked in a tone that sounded disappointed."It depends."Reiner, who was still staring at James, raised an eyebrow, looking confused, "Depends on what?"James sighed softly, "It depends on King Xylan's answer."Reiner was getting more and more confused. However, he did not have time to ask further as the car they were in had already entered the main gate of the Ans De Lou Royal palace. Even so, Reiner still did not want to give up so easily so he continued to stick to James e

However, when she saw the look on the general's face, she immediately knew he meant the time of the departure of the three people they were looking for.So, the Veren boutique owner replied, "About an hour ago, General Gardner."Hearing that answer, Reiner immediately went limp. But, it was inversely proportional to James who was even full of enthusiasm. This could be seen from James who even said, "Come on, Rei. Let's go after him."Reiner looked sadly at his best friend and replied, "It won't catch up, James. It's been too long."James did not even listen to Reiner's words and ordered some of his men, "Prepare the car, let's go after them!""James," Reiner called softly.James ignored the call and kept saying to his men who were still quietly waiting, "Find out through the CCTV which area they are currently in. I can still find a punishment that you deserve," Reiner continued coldly.Alice swallowed harshly. Of course the young girl was very confused. Moreover, no one was trying to help her at all. Gary Davis did not answer Xylan's question. He just wore a pitiable expression. It instantly brought out the guilt in Xylan Wellington.Oh, no. What have I done? Did ... did I go too far in becoming suspicious of my own personal assistant? Xylan thought to himself as he stared at Gary's innocent face. The viceroy sighed softly. He went back to thinking hard. He tried to remember everything about Gary. He had never made a mistake, not once. He also never did anything suspicious all this time. Gosh, am I suspecting the wrong person?
