Black's POV
"I know I said we should start over, but you don't have to stick with me all the time." I said as I placed my notebook in my bag and grabbed my wallet.
"Isn't it fine?" White replied. "We're friends, so it isn't a big deal to hang out like this."
"I'm not your only friend, White. What would your other friends think if you just keep sticking to me? I'll be okay on my own."
"Black!" Someone called my name from outside the classroom. Scarlet and Crimson were standing by the door, waiting for me. "That's my cue." I said as I stood up. "Go hang out with your other friends."I went over to Scarlet and Crimson, then we had lunch. As always, we hung out at the club room. This is often my routine here at school. During lunch and dismissal, I hang out with Crimson here in the club room. Sometimes, Scarlet joins us, but she's been frequenting here too. Nothing much has changed, except for the undesirable populaBlack's POV"Hey!" Scarlet exclaimed as she suddenly burst open the doors to the clubroom. "Have you seen this?!""What is it?" I asked as she approached us."Somebody posted your performance on the school website.""They did??" Crimson joined us. "Why?""I have no idea, but even students from other school are watching it. Not only that, but Black's been getting a lot of attention again.""What do you mean?" I asked. She scrolled up the website, then stopped on one post. "A mysterious transfer student with a cold gaze, but heavenly voice." She read the caption of the post aloud as she showed us a few candid pictures of me. "The students are fawning over you."Well, there goes my quiet life.Crimson chuckled. "Guess you aren't getting a peaceful school life after all." He said with a smirk on his face."Shut up." I sighed. "I hope p
Black's POV"Good morning." White greeted me as he sat down on the seat in front of me."Morning." I replied as I yawned. "Did you need something?""Can I get your online ID? You aren't in our group chat yet, right?""Online ID? Was my number not enough?""This and that are different. You probably didn't know, but we're gonna be changing classrooms later. We're gonna have a merged class for first period. The class president posted it on the group chat.""Ah, so it's for convenience... I don't have an online ID. Can you teach me how to make one?""You don't have one? Why?""I never really needed it. The only person I keep in contact with is my aunt.""Oh, then hand me your phone for a bit."I gave him my phone, then he set everything up for me. He added me to the group chat, then sent me a direct message too. Now, I had his onli
Black's POVI somehow ended up in this awkward situation.Earlier today, I heard Scarlet and Crimson talking about something private. They mentioned something about Scarlet spending the night in Crimson's place, and somehow, I was forced to tag along with them."Just place your stuff anywhere." Crimson said as he started stripping.Scarlet threw her bag at Crimson's head. "Don't just start stripping out of nowhere!" She exclaimed with a flustered expression on her face."Geez, fine!" Crimson begrudgingly went to his room.Scarlet let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the couch. "What do you want to order, Black? Should we go for some fried chicken?""That's fine with me." I replied."Great! Crimson likes the spicy kind, so let's order that too. For drinks, we can just buy some later. There's a convenience store near here, so that is
Black's POV"Welcome!" A familiar voice greeted me as I entered the cafe. "Oh! You came!" One of the waiters, Alabaster, exclaimed as he walked towards me. "I'm glad to see you here again.""Well, you gave me a coupon." I replied. "It would be a waste not to use it, right?""Of course, of course." He smiled, then escorted me to a seat by the counter. He went behind it and started making a drink."Are you not gonna ask what my order is?" I asked."This is a personal recommendation." He replied, again with that bright smile on his face. "You'll love it.""You sound so sure of yourself.""I wouldn't be working here if I wasn't confident in my own recommendations."Today is the weekend, and since Aunt Autumn wasn't home again, I figured I should go out, just for a change of pace. Going out when I don't need to feels really awkward, but somehow, as soon as I go
Crimson's POV"Are you photosynthesizing or something?" An annoyingly familiar voice asked as I was laying down under the shade of a tree."That's pretty smart to say when I'm not even in the sunlight, princess." I replied as I took my arm off my eyes and saw the princess standing in front of me."You know, you can just call me by my name when we're alone." She sat down on the other side of the tree. "It's been a while since I saw you here.""Yeah, well, I like it here."She sighed. "Did something happen? Black's been waiting for you in the club room for two days now. Are you avoiding him?""Not really. I just felt like coming back here.""I know you better than that. You only come here when you have a problem.""Just leave me alone, princess. I need some time to myself sometimes too.""Then
Black's POV I stood outside the cafe, waiting for Al to come. I entered earlier and he wasn't the one by the counter. I texted him too, but he hasn't replied. Since I figured he wasn't here, I thought I'd just wait for him out here. Since he helped me with my situation with Crimson, I wanted to thank him personally. If I just say it through text, it won't feel as genuine. "Oh, Black?" A voice called my name. I looked to my side and saw Lilac, behind her were her two friends, the tall guy and the aggressive girl. The aggressive girl glared at me, then passed me as she walked inside the cafe. Lilac sighed. "I'm really sorry for her. She's a nice person, I swear, so I hope you don't see her in a bad light." "Don't worry." I replied. "I'm sure she has her own reasons for why she's acting like that." Though I honestly feel a little hurt since she's one of the few people with colors I can talk
Black's POV"A school festival?" Crimson asked as he tuned his guitar."Yeah." I replied. "Do you remember that guy from the cafe before?""The one with the tattoos?""That's him. He gave me a ticket to their school festival and told me I could bring two friends. I was thinking you two might wanna go.""I'm gonna be busy because my part-time job starts next week. I'm not really sure if I can go.""I might be busy too." Scarlet added as she handed me a coat to put on. "I have to make an altered school uniform for the competition I joined."That's a shame." I replied as I sighed.Today, Crimson and I went to the design club to help Scarlet. Well, it's mostly just me helping. Scarlet wanted me to model for some sample clothes that she made for an assignment. Since we didn't want Crimson to be left alone, we decided to bring him along too. Even though our agreement was tha
Black's POV"Wow." White said as he stared at the school's entrance, which had extravagant decorations. "This is a school festival, right?""I guess so." I replied.I don't know what White sees, but everything that I could see was just monochrome. I'm sure these decorations make people feel festive or something, but I guess that's gonna be impossible for me.'Should we go inside?" White asked."Ah, yeah. Where do we give the tickets though?""I think over there." He pointed to a small booth right past the gate.We gave our tickets, then they stamped the back of our hands with something. I guess it was some kind of permit for the festival. I texted Al to ask where he was, but he wasn't responding.I looked at White and saw him looking around. "Do you wanna walk around?" I asked."What about your friend?""He hasn't replied yet
Crimson's POVI've always been told I have a scary face. It's not that I want to look like this, but with the way I've been raised, I found it hard to smile normally. I'm not a social person either, so even if I knew how to act normal, I don't know how to be friendly. My parents were very strict on me growing up. My old man's the owner of his own business, and my mom supports him all the way. They raised me to be their perfect little son so I'd do whatever they wanted, but I got sick of it. Because of that, I started the opposite of whatever they told me.I got into a lot of fights, I did things I wasn't supposed to do, I flunked my classes, but no matter what I did, I still felt trapped in the cage that my parents confined me in. It was hard to escape, but that was until I found something I actually wanted to do.I told my old man that I'd stop causing trouble for them if they let me live on my own, and because I
Black's POV"I'll ask you again." Crimson said as he pinned the light-colored boy on the wall. "What the hell are you doing here?"The boy glared at Crimson, then pushed him back and threw a punch. "I wouldn't have gone to this dump if you didn't run away!"Crimson immediately retaliated with a punch of his own. "I never asked you to find me!"And the fight just went on. I wanted to try and stop it, but there was no way I could do it on my own. If I let myself get caught in that crossfire, I can guarantee that I'll just end up being beaten up. I could probably do something else that doesn't involve me getting their way, but what?I took a deep breath and accepted that there was no peaceful way to stop this, so I braced myself and stepped in the middle. "Stop it!" I exclaimed as I shielded Crimson from a punch."Y-You idiot!" Crimson shouted as he checked on me. "Are you okay?? Does it hurt?"
Black's POVWhat a peaceful day. I woke up really early, and since I didn't have anything to do at home, I decided to just go to school. When I got here, it felt so empty. There were really few students and they're all just doing their own thing.Everything's so quiet and calm. It's not too hot nor too cold, so basking in the sun from the classroom's window felt amazing. The only thing that could ruin this perfect day is a sudden loud noise."Black!" I could hear someone call my name as the doors to the classroom slammed open. The peace is ruined now.I turned around and saw Scarlet, tears forming in her eyes as she stood by the doors. "Hey, what happened??" I asked as I stood up and approached her. "Are you hurt anywhere?"She shook her head and wiped her tears. "Crimson asked me out again."For a moment, my mind went blank as I processed what she just said. "He asked
Black's POV"Do you feel better?" I asked as Crimson came back."Yeah, thanks." He replied."Here." I handed him a cup of hot chocolate and sat down. "You're gonna sleep here, alright?""What? I never agreed to that.""Aunt Autumn said it's too late to go home, and I agree with her. I don't want you getting into another fight.""I told you, I'm fine.""And I believe you, but I'd rather you stay here for tonight."He sighed, then glared at me. "You really gotta mind your own business sometimes."'Here. Eat up." I said as I pushed him the box of pastries."That was your aunt, right?" He asked as he took one and started eating."Yeah.""And it's just you two here?""Yeah. I live with her after all.""Right..."The atmosphere quickly turned awkward
Black's POV I finally got home after a long day. As usual, our house was empty. Everything's been so lively lately that everytime I come home, I feel a little lonely. I sighed and immediately lied down as soon as I got into my room. I closed my eyes, but I didn't sleep. I just didn't want to see everything so colorless. I didn't used to mind how colorless everything was. I just let the days pass while I slowly withered away. I never thought the day would come when I'd feel so hopeless again. "I'm home!" I could hear Aunt Autumn's voice downstairs and the doors creak open. I stood up and headed downstairs. "Welcome home." I said as I entered the living room and saw Aunt Autumn, her warm colors filling the room. "I'm so
Black's POVI wanted to say that I was enjoying the show, but how can I enjoy a colorless show when there's a literal light blub right next to me?The girl that smelled like disinfectants noticed I was staring at her quite intently, so she asked me if something was wrong. Thankfully, the conversation ended pretty quickly since the show started. I don't know how I would've answered her if the conversation continued. I would normally just brush it off and apologize, but my mind just blanked for some reason earlier.I still don't understand why these people are suddenly gaining colors. Why specifically these people? It's not even limited to the people at school anymore since Al's obviously from somewhere else. It just doesn't make sense. It's not like I know them from anywhere else. I wish I knew something more about my illness so I could at least stop being so confused. Come to think of it,
Black's POV "This is nerve-wracking!" Scarlet exclaimed as she paced back and forth. "I'm sure he'll be here soon." I replied to hopefully calm her down. "Maybe he just got caught up in something." Today's the day of Scarlet's competition. To support her, I was supposed to just stay in the audience and watch, but she sent me a message telling me to go to their dressing room. It turns out, Crimson was running late, and beacause of it, Scarlet's panicking. It was really quite a sight to see her like this. We both sent him a message, but he wasn't replying. We don't know where he could be, so we can't even try to look for him. "Um, if Crimson doesn't come, I can wear the clothes instead." I suggested. "No!" Scarlet exclaimed. "I don't want you to wear something I made for somebody else. You should wear something that I made for you. I don't want to just give you something just because the pe
Black's POVThe play started with introducing the princess and some of the characters close to her. It really looked like it was setting up a star-crossed lovers plot. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't really watching it for the story. After a few minutes, they introduced the prince. Just like in the poster, he had a metallic blue color surrounding him, but it was flickering. The boy in the mask was probably Lilac's friend. I already forgot his name, but he was the tall expressionless guy. I wonder how he ended up in a play like this."Princess, I've come to rescue you!" A loud voice suddenly echoed throughout the gymnasium. To my surprise, the voice came from the expressionless boy. He took his mask off and smiled at the princess as he held her hand and kneeled down. "I will dedicate my life to you, princess, so long as you let me."Somehow, his voice gave me the chills. I didn't know he could make expressions like that, and
