(Alexander’s POV)
The whole day was spectacular for me because I got to spend it with Evelyn, the only person who invaded my mind a lot lately. And was looking forward to the next day… As soon as the sun shined bright, the next morning, I woke up with full excitement, a smile on my face and got ready for the day.
Like yesterday, I picked up Evelyn from her cafe and this time our destination was a carnival. When we arrived, it was full of adults and children. Being a weekend as well the crowd was too much.
“I hope you don’t mind this crowd” Evelyn spoke from beside me and I just smiled at her in response. We both then walked towards different stalls.
“My parents used to bring me here every weekend. And it was my rec
(Alexander’s POV)After visiting my sister’s, I immediately called for a meeting in the conference hall for all my warriors and elders except for pregnant women and those who were hurt.“Alex, you need to calm down first” Daniel Baker, the former beta and the only person who raised me and my sister’s after my parents death.“How the fuck can I be uncle?...Did you see my sister’s condition?...I was out for a few days and all this fucking happened”.“We are trying to investigate, Alpha King”.“Really Chris? Right now also you are trying to fucking investigate when the whole thing is in front of you” I shouted at him and everyone took a step back little beca
(Alexander’s POV) My eyes opened at midnight instantly, I got up from the bed and got ready for the meeting. The whole mansion was silent, when I walked out of the room. I took the back entrance and walked towards a clearing that only I knew off and reached the destination within 5 minutes. “My, my, look how grown up you are” I heard her voice only and looked around to spot her but nothing was there except for trees. “If we had to talk, then you have to show yourself” After a second, I stopped moving with hands crossed against my chest and waited for her. Within a few seconds, she was in front of me in her glorious black gown with red pearls in it and a big smile on her face. “Hello…Aunt” I had a smile on her face while
(Evelyn’s POV)I was missing Alex, don’t know how but in a few days only he made me fall in love with him. The feelings I never experienced were now coming out more prominently for him. And the kiss we shared was the best feeling to experience. So, the next day, I tried to get Alex’s number with Mia’s help and she won't even tell me how she got his number but the main thing was I had his number now. For the last 3 days, I saved his number in my phone and just looked at it without getting the confidence to call him.“What are you looking at, just call?” Mia and I were standing in the staff room. She was continuously pestering me to call her but I wasn’t able to.“I-I can’t, what if he doesn’t want to talk t
(Evelyn's POV) It's been three days since my parents died and I have been cooped up in my house since I returned from their funeral. I have been lying in my parents room since then and only got up for the washroom and nothing else. In these three days, someone might think that I am a living-dead person because of my appearance. My phone was also continuously ringing since that day and only two people kept on checking me by sending messages or calls. Yesterday, Mia even came to look for me but without opening the door I asked her to leave. Everything in my life has come to a halt, I don’t even know how to start my life again or even if I want to or not. My parents photo was still in my arms when again someone rang the doorbell. For a few seconds I ignored it but the person continuously rang and eventually, I got up. “Mia, I said I don’t want to see anyone…pls leave” I said through the door thinking Mia was there but some other person replied. “Not even me?” I can remember that voi
(Alexander’s POV) After the first call from Evelyn, I waited everyday for her call but there was none. I wanted to call her in return but was not able to get time, whenever I would decide to call something or the other came in between. The other day, on her call Aliana also woke up and now mind was totally focused on the attack and golden rogues… “They did have the same routine, Alpha King…” Brian and Chris have been keeping a watch on their pack since the time we got to know about them. Everyday they would report me of their movements but it's been 4 days and still no suspicious activity. “Do you really think those guys said the truth?” Brian hesitated before saying and my eyes connected with him immediately indicating the anger that erupted in me after listening to this from him. “Uh, I am so-sorry”. “There is definitely something and I can feel it” I said with a stern voice and they both nodded their heads. After an hour, Brian came into my sister's room where I was spend
(Alexander’s POV)We took a break from watching movies and it was around 3 in the afternoon. Evelyn went to the kitchen to get some snacks when my phone started ringing…“Chris?” I heard his panicked voice over the phone and the second he told me what happened, the ground slipped beneath my feet.“Alex?...Alex!” Evelyn's voice took me out of my trance and I looked at her. She was looking at me with worried eyes.“What’s the issue?” She kneeled down in front of me while just sitting still thinking about what Chris told me a minute before.“Alex…Look at me, now tell what happened? Who was on the phone? Is everything alright?” She asked me questions of whi
(Alexander’s POV)After taking a tour of my burned house and giving a few instructions to my head personnel, I went to my cabin. The moment I entered Alaina and Ashley looked at me.“You are back!” Ashley ran towards me to give a tight hug. We both then walked towards Alaina.“How are you?” I kissed her forehead and sat in between both of them while they put their heads on my chest.“What will happen now?...Everyone was giving us side glances, when fire broke out…they have lost trust in us, Alex”.“I will handle everything and now I am not going anywhere”.“But that girl?” Ashley looked up at me.“She has come with me…”.“What? But why?” Both of them looked at me with shocked faces.“I know it’s risky but she wanted to come and I was not able to say no” They both didn’t say anything and we all just sat there without further conversation. After a few hours, they both went to their rooms and I called Evelyn.“Hello?...Eve, are you ok?” “Alex, I am fine… How is everything there?” “I am
(Evelyn's POV)Since the time I have come to Alex’s cabin, I could feel something eerie. As if someone is watching me but I didn’t ponder upon it more and enjoyed the time with Alex’s sister’s. The second Alex came, there was tension on his face and I could clearly sense something was eating him alive. The second I entered his room and saw his tired face, I hugged him and wanted to show support the way he showed me when I was on my lowest point in life. I don’t know what came into my mind but that minute, I poured my feelings to him even though I was aware that he would not say it back. The time I asked him to take me with him, he was hiding something from me, I can feel it.“The dinner is ready, let’s go” I said after a few seconds and led him downstairs. During
(Author’s POV)The air was thick with tension as Valen’s vampire convent entered the borders of Alex’s territory. The wolves patrolling the area stiffened, their eyes fixed warily on the approaching figures. Even though they had been briefed about the alliance, the sight of vampires…natural rivals to werewolves walking through their land was an unsettling one.For the first time in history, vampires and werewolves were not on opposing sides but were preparing to stand together against a common enemy. At the forefront of the group was Valen, a striking figure with sharp features and an air of command. Beside him walked two identical twin vampires, their aura just as imposing but with a hint of mischief in their gazes. Behind them trailed the rest of the convent, all of them moving with a grac
(Evelyn’s POV)Right now, I was sitting on the edge of the bed, nervously twiddling my fingers. Alex, seated beside me, listened intently as I explained the connection I had uncovered about Rain.“Rain’s... a fae?” Alex repeated, his eyebrows shooting up in shock. I nodded, my voice steady despite my nerves.“Ezra hinted at it, and it clicked. I remembered how Rain always seemed to have this... ethereal quality about her. I’m meeting her tomorrow to confirm and, hopefully, get her help” He looked at me, his protective nature surfacing.“I’m coming with you”“Alex, it’s just Rain” I protested gently.
(Author’s POV)The dimly lit study of the pack house was alive with energy and purpose as Veronica, Kael, and Leira gathered around an ancient map of the supernatural realms. The scent of aged parchment and flickering candlelight filled the room, creating an atmosphere of mysticism and urgency.Leira, her radiant aura casting a soft glow on the walls, traced her fingers over the map's intricate details."The Guardians won’t be easy to locate," she said, her voice calm yet determined."They were scattered across realms by design, hidden to protect the balance until a time like this” Kael leaned against the table, his sharp eyes scanning the map."But they’re not just hiding, are they?
(Alexander’s POV)I was sitting in my office, the moonlight streaming through the window casting a silvery glow. I leaned back in my chair, my fingers tracing the edges of my phone as I contemplated the conversation I was about to have. The events of the past weeks weighed heavily on my mind, and I knew it was time to reach out for help beyond the werewolf realm. With a steadying breath, I dialed a familiar number. After a few rings, a smooth, deep voice answered on the other end."Alex," The voice drawled, a hint of amusement in its tone."To what do I owe this late-night call? Trouble in paradise?" I couldn't help but smirk despite the seriousness of the situation."Valen, it's been a while. And no, this i
(Evelyn’s POV)The next morning, I insisted on joining everyone in the living room despite Alex's protests."You need to rest, Evelyn" Alex said for the fifth time as I stood near the door."I've rested enough," I replied firmly, but with a warm smile."I want to see everyone. Please, Alex” He sighed, running a hand through his hair."Fine. But the moment you feel tired, we’re coming back to the room” I chuckled, leaning up to kiss his cheek."Deal!”We entered the living room to the sight of our family and pack members chatting and laughing. Ashley and Alaina immediately ran to me, wrapp
(Alexander’s POV)The soft hum of the medical equipment and the rhythmic sound of her breathing were my only company. My hand clasped hers tightly, silently begging for her to wake up.The silence of the room was shattered by the sound of the door swinging open. I turned sharply, my protective instincts on high alert, but I froze when I saw… Kael standing there. Before I could say a word, Kael strode forward and engulfed me in a tight embrace. Tears fell from Kael’s eyes as he held me.“I thought you weren’t coming back anytime soon” I managed to say, my voice cracking with a mix of surprise and emotion.Kael pulled back slightly, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
(Alexander’s POV)The battlefield, once filled with chaos and fury, was now eerily silent. The air was thick with tension, and my wolf, bruised and bloodied, staggered to his feet, his golden eyes locked onto Evelyn’s unconscious form lying on the ground. My heart clenched at the sight of her motionless body, her ethereal glow dimmed. With a pained growl, I forced my wolf to transform back into human form. The process was excruciating, my body protested every movement but I pushed through, driven by the sight of my mate. My breaths were ragged, legs trembling as I stumbled toward Evelyn.Falling to my knees beside her, I cradled her delicate frame in my arms. Her face was pale, her chest rising and falling shallowly. Panic surged through me as I gently brushed her hair away from her face.
(Author’s POV)The second Magnus said that name, gasps rippled through the pack warriors who had heard the name before in whispered stories passed down through generations. The tales of Daimon were legends…a being of immense power and cruelty, shrouded in mystery and fear. Some warriors took an instinctive step back, their courage wavering in the face of the mythical figure now standing before them.Alex’s fury boiled over as he watched his pack members tremble. He couldn’t allow fear to cripple them.He mindlinked every one of them, his tone resolute and commanding.“Listen to me! I know the stories you’ve heard about Daimon. I know the fear in your hearts. But let me remind you…we are the strongest pack in the world! We
(Alexander’s POV)It had been a week since Kael left, and the peace that followed was almost unsettling. The mansion was calm, but I couldn’t shake the unease that gnawed at me from within. Sitting alone in my office, papers and maps scattered in front of me, he leaned back in my chair, my fingers tapping rhythmically on the armrest. My mind kept circling back to Daimon.‘What was he up to? After his brutal attack on the four packs, Daimon had gone quiet…Too quiet. It wasn’t like him to retreat without a clear reason, especially after making such a grand, violent entrance’. I had been preparing my pack for anything, staying alert, but there had been no sign of Daimon.I clenched my jaw, frustrated by the silence. My mind was sha
