(Alexander’s POV)
“What happened?” I asked, my voice firm yet tinged with unease as I scanned the room for any immediate threat.
Evelyn stepped closer, her hands trembling slightly as she gestured toward the bed. On it lay a scroll made of old parchment, its edges frayed and its surface glowing faintly with an otherworldly light.
“This... this appeared out of nowhere,” Evelyn said, her voice low but trembling.
“I was just sitting here, going through the book Veronica gave me, when it materialized in midair and dropped onto the bed” I frowned and approached the bed cautiously, my sharp eyes studying the mysterious scroll. It exuded a strange energy, one that was neither entirely threatening nor reassuring.
(Alexander’s POV)The second those words left the messenger’s mouth, the whole room fell into stunned silence. I froze, my eyes widening as the words sunk in.“That’s impossible…I don’t have a brother!” My voice is low but trembling with disbelief. The messenger looked up, fear evident in his eyes.“He said his name was Kael. And that he was your father’s firstborn” Before, I could unleash my wolf on that messenger, my aunt stepped forward and sent the messenger away.“Alex... there’s something you need to know” Her face paled. I turned to her, my jaw tightening.“Aunt Veronica, if you know something, if you’ve been ke
(Alexander’s POV)Three days have passed since I announced a battle with Kael…One night, I was startled awake by my strong instincts, even before a frantic mindlink from a patrolling pack member arrived."Alpha King, we’re under attack! The borders have been breached!" I didn’t waste a second. I immediately mindlinked the entire pack."Everyone to your positions. Evelyn, Ashley, Alaina, Brian, Chris, meet me outside the mansion. Move quickly!"Within moments, the pack grounds were alive with movement. Evelyn emerged beside me, dressed for battle, her eyes glowing faintly with power. Ashley and Alaina followed, their expressions tense but determined. Brian and Chris flanked me, their sharp senses scanning the horizon.
When you feel that everything is fine in your life, then god completely changes your life over which you have no control over. Same thing happened in her life. One minute her family was happy and enjoying and the next minute that happiness got coloured with sorrow and blood.“Mom - Dad!” A girl who is severely injured tried calling her parents, when she saw blood flowing from their body continuously and looked at her mom who was just looking at her back with tears in her eyes.“Pls someone help… is someone there? pls” she asked for help in a desperate situation.“Mom, no! pls don’t leave me. Mom” she tried to talk to her as her mother’s aqua blue eyes started closing.“T-Take care…Eve” her mother’s last words before her eyes closed. When the girl saw her parents' lifeless bodies, she became shocked. She was not saying anything. And just laid there, waiting for, don't know how much time, seeing her parents until a shadow came beside the passenger seat of the car. The girl came out of
(Evelyn’s POV)The moment my eyes opened it automatically went towards my family photo, dad making weird faces with me and mom smiling at our antics with one hand on her swollen belly. This was my happy family who was waiting for a new member but everything got destroyed that day.“When will we be a family again, dad?.. I miss you alot, pls come back to us. Mom and I can’t live without you…pls” I clutched that photo frame tightly to my chest and tears flowed continuously from my eyes. After an hour, I could see the sun shining brilliantly in the clear blue sky as soon as I left my house. It was a bright light in my otherwise drab life and began to go in the direction of the bus station, where the sound of my heels became less audible through the haze of nearby people going about their business in a world that is definitely brighter than mine.Even at the age of 24, the burden of all my responsibilities keeps me from leading the free life that a twenty-four-year-old girl ought to lead
(Alexander’s POV)I heard a scream as soon as I woke up, so I hurried downstairs to the kitchen to see what was making the commotion. I noticed that our enormous and opulent kitchen was in disarray, and all of the maids were standing in a queue against the wall with their heads down. Then I turn to face the person who called my name.“Yes my princess?” I asked with a calm voice to my sister who scowled at me.“See, what a mess Alaina made” she said while glaring at her, who was covered in a white powder like stuff.“I just wanted to give you a surprise'' Alaina said while looking at me with tears in her eyes.“Al come here” I opened my arms for her and caressed her head. “Ash, don’t just stand there. I want my other princess also” and opened my right arm for her as well. She walked into my arms and hugged Alaina also.“I am sorry Alaina, I should have not shouted at you” Ashley said while looking at her and in return Alaina smiled at her while saying ‘It’s ok’.“Now that’s my girls.
(Evelyn’s POV)“Mr. Alexander Knight, is everything ok? Do you need anything?” My manager came beside him and he just shook his head without leaving eye contact with me as if he was trying to figure something out. Then, he quietly entered the lift and pressed the button on the 15th floor, which is the highest and VIP floor in this hotel.Alexander stood beside me with an aura that exudes confidence and authoritative nature making me feel suffocated even in this big lift. My hands that were holding the cleaning cloth started trembling the moment his sharp eyes looked at me again and I tried my best to ignore it but the storm that was going on inside me was not at all controllable. As soon as I reached my floor, I walked out fast with the cleaning stuff. But the whole time I worked my mind was just thinking about Alexander, especially his eyes. I couldn't place where I had seen those eyes before, but I had the feeling that I surely did.“Are you done Evelyn?” Mia came beside me after fi
(Alexander’s POV)Whenever you try not to have that thing happen again in your life, then the moon goddess starts playing with you by putting the same thing in front of you again. After being with her for a few seconds in the lift yesterday, I never thought to be in the same room with her today when I entered. My heart was racing for the first time.I attempted to maintain my cool even though I wanted to give her an embrace since I could smell the scent of roses emanating from her and filling my entire room. “Sir, you called me?” She came into my bedroom and stood at the door with head down as if I had punished her. It even broke my heart to see that she is afraid of my presence only.“Did you see my tab which was kept here?” I spoke with a calm voice. I'm not sure why, but even for such a foolish thing, my heart compelled me to speak with her. It was as though all I wanted was to hear her lovely voice.“I am sorry for touching your things sir but I kept it safely in the drawer beside
(Evelyn’s POV) As soon as my work finished, I literally ran out of his room. I don’t know why but whenever I meet Alexander, there is always a feeling inside me that pushes me towards him more and I have to try my best to control it. “Evelyn!” Mia screamed in my ears from behind when I was totally lost in my own thoughts. “Oh god!... Mia, you scared me” I slapped her arm in a playful manner. “But it was worth it, you should have seen your face” And she was still laughing while I just shook my head with a smile. “Ok, ok, now what are you doing here?” “I took a little break,” She said while stretching her body as if she has done a whole lot of work but it has only been 5 hours

(Alexander’s POV)The room fell deathly silent. Everyone exchanged nervous glances.“Daimon?” My voice cuts through the silence like a blade. Magnus swallowed hard, his voice trembling.“Daimon, the one... who is neither an angel nor the devil. He is one of the most dangerous beings to ever exist. However, he never ventured beyond his realm after being exiled, and if he has set foot on Earth after all these centuries, it signifies that… the end times are approaching”.“I will not let that happen!” My anger flared, my golden eyes glowing faintly. Magnus nodded but looked grim.“His power is not to be underestimated, Alpha
(Evelyn’s POV)I was sitting in my room when suddenly the air in the room shifted, growing cooler. A familiar shimmer of light appeared before me and when I looked up, my eyes widened. The old lady stood there, her white gown glowing faintly, her smile serene.“Y-you’re here,” I stammered, relief washing over me. I stood quickly, ready to pour out everything that had been weighing on me.“I’m so glad you came. I need to tell you…” The lady raised a hand, stopping me mid-sentence.“I know…I know everything. Your fears, your worries, your doubts... I see it all. That is why I am here” She said gently, her voice calm yet powerful. I froze, my heart pounding.
(Evelyn’s POV)The living room was cloaked in an uneasy silence as Veronica returned from her room, holding an ancient, leather-bound book with intricate golden designs etched on its cover. Everyone's eyes followed her as she placed the book carefully on the table, the atmosphere thick with tension. Alex leaned forward, his brows furrowed in confusion.“What’s this, Aunt?” He asked. She glanced at him, her expression grave.“This may hold the answer to who is behind all of this” She replied, her voice heavy. Then her gaze shifted to me, her eyes silently urging me to reveal the truth. I hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath and speaking.“There’s somethi
(Evelyn’s POV)I rushed out of the room, my heart pounding with anxiety as Mia’s words replayed in my mind. I made my way to the main courtyard and saw Alex standing in the centre, giving instructions to the warriors. His commanding voice carried an air of authority, but even in his strength, I could sense the urgency in his movements. As Alex turned around, his eyes met mine, and he immediately noticed the panic etched across my face. Without hesitation, he walked over, his expression softening. He pulled me into his arms, wrapping me in a strong, comforting embrace. I clung to him, feeling the warmth and safety he always provided. He gently caressed my hair, his touch calming but tinged with unspoken concern.“Hey, I’ll come back soon, I p
(Evelyn’s POV)That night, the moonlight poured into our bedroom through the sheer curtains, casting a soft, silver glow over everything. The room was filled with the faint scent of roses and lavender, remnants of the floral decorations from our mating ceremony. Alexander and I stood together, our eyes locked in a deep, unspoken connection that needed no words.Alexander gently pulled me close, his hands resting on my waist.“Finally, I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long” He whispered, his voice tender yet filled with longing.I looked up at him, my heart still fluttering from the ceremony. My gown shimmered as I moved closer, and felt the warmth of his body against mine.&ld
(Evelyn’s POV)The day of the mating ceremony had finally arrived, and the entire pack was alive with anticipation and joy.Meanwhile, in my room, I was preparing for the most important day of my life. After stepping out of a warm shower, my hair damp and cascading over my shoulders, I was wearing a soft robe.As I turned around, I stopped dead in my tracks, my breath catching in my throat.Standing in the middle of the room was a woman. The stranger wore a magnificent, shimmering white gown that seemed to glow with an ethereal light, almost identical to the one I wore when I transformed into my moon goddess form. The gown caught the sunlight streaming in from the window, casting radiant reflections around the room. The woman had silver hair that flowed grace
