(Evelyn’s POV)
I was missing Alex, don’t know how but in a few days only he made me fall in love with him. The feelings I never experienced were now coming out more prominently for him. And the kiss we shared was the best feeling to experience.
So, the next day, I tried to get Alex’s number with Mia’s help and she won't even tell me how she got his number but the main thing was I had his number now. For the last 3 days, I saved his number in my phone and just looked at it without getting the confidence to call him.
“What are you looking at, just call?” Mia and I were standing in the staff room. She was continuously pestering me to call her but I wasn’t able to.
“I-I can’t, what if he doesn’t want to talk t
(Evelyn's POV) It's been three days since my parents died and I have been cooped up in my house since I returned from their funeral. I have been lying in my parents room since then and only got up for the washroom and nothing else. In these three days, someone might think that I am a living-dead person because of my appearance. My phone was also continuously ringing since that day and only two people kept on checking me by sending messages or calls. Yesterday, Mia even came to look for me but without opening the door I asked her to leave. Everything in my life has come to a halt, I don’t even know how to start my life again or even if I want to or not. My parents photo was still in my arms when again someone rang the doorbell. For a few seconds I ignored it but the person continuously rang and eventually, I got up. “Mia, I said I don’t want to see anyone…pls leave” I said through the door thinking Mia was there but some other person replied. “Not even me?” I can remember that voi
(Alexander’s POV) After the first call from Evelyn, I waited everyday for her call but there was none. I wanted to call her in return but was not able to get time, whenever I would decide to call something or the other came in between. The other day, on her call Aliana also woke up and now mind was totally focused on the attack and golden rogues… “They did have the same routine, Alpha King…” Brian and Chris have been keeping a watch on their pack since the time we got to know about them. Everyday they would report me of their movements but it's been 4 days and still no suspicious activity. “Do you really think those guys said the truth?” Brian hesitated before saying and my eyes connected with him immediately indicating the anger that erupted in me after listening to this from him. “Uh, I am so-sorry”. “There is definitely something and I can feel it” I said with a stern voice and they both nodded their heads. After an hour, Brian came into my sister's room where I was spend
(Alexander’s POV)We took a break from watching movies and it was around 3 in the afternoon. Evelyn went to the kitchen to get some snacks when my phone started ringing…“Chris?” I heard his panicked voice over the phone and the second he told me what happened, the ground slipped beneath my feet.“Alex?...Alex!” Evelyn's voice took me out of my trance and I looked at her. She was looking at me with worried eyes.“What’s the issue?” She kneeled down in front of me while just sitting still thinking about what Chris told me a minute before.“Alex…Look at me, now tell what happened? Who was on the phone? Is everything alright?” She asked me questions of whi
(Alexander’s POV)After taking a tour of my burned house and giving a few instructions to my head personnel, I went to my cabin. The moment I entered Alaina and Ashley looked at me.“You are back!” Ashley ran towards me to give a tight hug. We both then walked towards Alaina.“How are you?” I kissed her forehead and sat in between both of them while they put their heads on my chest.“What will happen now?...Everyone was giving us side glances, when fire broke out…they have lost trust in us, Alex”.“I will handle everything and now I am not going anywhere”.“But that girl?” Ashley looked up at me.“She has come with me…”.“What? But why?” Both of them looked at me with shocked faces.“I know it’s risky but she wanted to come and I was not able to say no” They both didn’t say anything and we all just sat there without further conversation. After a few hours, they both went to their rooms and I called Evelyn.“Hello?...Eve, are you ok?” “Alex, I am fine… How is everything there?” “I am
(Evelyn's POV)Since the time I have come to Alex’s cabin, I could feel something eerie. As if someone is watching me but I didn’t ponder upon it more and enjoyed the time with Alex’s sister’s. The second Alex came, there was tension on his face and I could clearly sense something was eating him alive. The second I entered his room and saw his tired face, I hugged him and wanted to show support the way he showed me when I was on my lowest point in life. I don’t know what came into my mind but that minute, I poured my feelings to him even though I was aware that he would not say it back. The time I asked him to take me with him, he was hiding something from me, I can feel it.“The dinner is ready, let’s go” I said after a few seconds and led him downstairs. During
(Alexander’s POV)“What are you saying?” Brian yelled when I recalled to him the whole story about yesterday.“I don’t know how it happened…Aaron just flipped out after seeing that rogue drooling over Evelyn” I sighed and sat on my chair.“So now, she knows about wolves!”“Kinda… But I don’t know how long I can keep this from her. There are so many things going on right now and I don’t know what to handle first!” “Alex, calm down. We all are here, just relax” He patted my shoulder in a brother kind of way to calm my emotions.Being an Alpha king of the biggest and powerful pack is not the easiest thing and I understood now, how my father would handle it so perfectly. Since his death, this is the first time I am facing a situation like this and I don't even know where to start.“Alpha king, I have arranged the meeting with alpha of golden rogues for tomorrow at the hotel” Chris entered after a few minutes and left after relaying the message. After handling a few things regarding the r
(Evelyn’s POV)I knew that Alex was hiding something from me since the time I saw him worried and that slash on his abdomen. There is definitely something going on in this place and I have to find out. With that goal in my mind I left Alex’s place and fighting with him was just a part of my plan to stay away from him…“Mia, you know what to do, right?” I immediately called her after reaching the hotel.“Yes, I have informed her she will take good care of you” And ended the call before packing my bag and leaving for my destination. After an hour, I reached a house and rang the doorbell. The door was opened by an old lady…“Hello, Mrs. Clove?” I asked and she nodded.“I am Evelyn, Mia must have told you about me”.“Oh yes! Come in dear…Mia said that you wanted to stay for a few days” She invited me in and I looked at her beautiful home.“Thank you so much for letting me stay” She just smiled at me before going into the kitchen. After drinking the water she got, we walked towards the roo
(Alexander’s POV)The second Evelyn walked out of my house, my heart broke into a million pieces. From the start, I should have listened to Aaron and not gotten close to her but I was so stupid to actually fall in love with her… Yes! Yes! I love Evelyn Lewis. I know she might not be the one that I have been looking for but now I can’t live without her. That girl has captured my heart, mind, soul, everything.I was sitting in my study room, with eyes closed when Brian entered…“Alex, we should leave for the meeting” He got me out of my thoughts that were filled with only Evelyn since yesterday. We both then left for the hotel where Alpha of Golden rogues was waiting for me.“Alexander Knight!...Rico Archer!” I entered the room where he was already present and introduced each other. He was with two of his men while I was Chris and Brian. The two Alpha’s of the biggest clan in the world were sitting in a room, oozing a power that no one can even imagine.“When I got to know that Alexande
(Author’s POV)The air around Alex’s territory was thick with tension. It had been three days since the revelation of Evelyn’s pregnancy and the true history of the original Moon Goddess. The knowledge of Daimon’s impending arrival loomed over everyone like a dark cloud, and the atmosphere reflected the seriousness of the situation.Alex was standing at the edge of the training field, his arms crossed, his gaze sharp and focused. His warriors were led by Brian and Chris, who were training with full intensity, pushing themselves harder than ever before. The clang of weapons, the growls of shifting wolves, and the commanding shouts of Alex filled the air.Nearby, Valen’s vampire convent was training along with werewolves, a sight that would have been unimaginable just weeks ago. The twin
(Evelyn’s POV)A heavy silence filled the room, broken only by Veronica’s voice.“And Daimon?” The Witch Guardian’s expression darkened.“Daimon knows this! His aim isn’t just to claim Evelyn…it’s to corrupt her. He wants her to bear… his child, only to kill that child and steal its powers for himself... If he succeeds, he will become an indestructible force capable of ruling over every species, plunging the realms into eternal chaos”.The gravity of her words settled over the group like a shroud. My heart raced, and I felt Alex’s grip on my hand tighten protectively.“This is why we must stand united,” The Witch Guardian concluded, he
(Evelyn’s POV)I was sitting on the edge of my bed, flipping through an ancient book. The faint scent of lavender from the candles I had lit filled the room, offering a brief moment of calm. That peace shattered when the window suddenly opened, and Ezra appeared with a tensed expression, his usual playful demeanor nowhere in sight."Evelyn" Ezra said, his voice urgent. I looked up, alarmed by his tone. "Ezra, what’s wrong?" He stepped closer, his piercing gaze locking onto mine. "The Moon Goddess felt a shift in nature…a powerful, dark force. Daimon… he’s regained his strength… He’s coming back for you".My breath hitched, my hands tightening on the book in my lap. "No… no, we’re not ready yet," I whispered, panic lacing my words. "We haven’t found the Witch Guardian and the Vampire Guardian. How can we fight him like this?" Ezra sighed, his usual mischievous smirk replaced with a grim frown. "That’s exactly why I’m here. Whatever you’re planning, Evelyn, you need to speed it up…
(Alexander’s POV)I was sitting at my desk, reviewing battle strategies with Brian and Chris. The tension in the room was palpable as we discussed patrol routes and defensive measures for the pack's safety.“I want all warriors ready for any sudden attacks,” I said firmly, tapping the map spread before us.“We can’t let our guard down, not for a second”.Before anyone could respond, the door swung open, and my aunt stepped in, her face lit with excitement.“Alex,” She said, her voice bubbling with joy.“Kael and Leira are back… and they’ve brought the Fae Guardian” I shot up from my chair, my eyes widen
(Evelyn’s POV)The evening was calm, the warm glow of the living room casting an inviting ambiance over Alex, Valen, his twin friends, and the rest of the family. Everyone was engaged in lighthearted conversation when a pack warrior approached the entrance and bowed respectfully.“Alpha King, Luna,” He announced.“Someone named Rain is at the gate” My face lit up with recognition and excitement.“Rain!” I exclaimed, rising from my seat. Alex stood as well, placing a hand on my shoulder.“We’ll go together” Valen leaned back on the couch, his sharp gaze flicking toward the door.“More allies,
(Author’s POV)The air was thick with tension as Valen’s vampire convent entered the borders of Alex’s territory. The wolves patrolling the area stiffened, their eyes fixed warily on the approaching figures. Even though they had been briefed about the alliance, the sight of vampires…natural rivals to werewolves walking through their land was an unsettling one.For the first time in history, vampires and werewolves were not on opposing sides but were preparing to stand together against a common enemy. At the forefront of the group was Valen, a striking figure with sharp features and an air of command. Beside him walked two identical twin vampires, their aura just as imposing but with a hint of mischief in their gazes. Behind them trailed the rest of the convent, all of them moving with a grac
(Evelyn’s POV)Right now, I was sitting on the edge of the bed, nervously twiddling my fingers. Alex, seated beside me, listened intently as I explained the connection I had uncovered about Rain.“Rain’s... a fae?” Alex repeated, his eyebrows shooting up in shock. I nodded, my voice steady despite my nerves.“Ezra hinted at it, and it clicked. I remembered how Rain always seemed to have this... ethereal quality about her. I’m meeting her tomorrow to confirm and, hopefully, get her help” He looked at me, his protective nature surfacing.“I’m coming with you”“Alex, it’s just Rain” I protested gently.
(Author’s POV)The dimly lit study of the pack house was alive with energy and purpose as Veronica, Kael, and Leira gathered around an ancient map of the supernatural realms. The scent of aged parchment and flickering candlelight filled the room, creating an atmosphere of mysticism and urgency.Leira, her radiant aura casting a soft glow on the walls, traced her fingers over the map's intricate details."The Guardians won’t be easy to locate," she said, her voice calm yet determined."They were scattered across realms by design, hidden to protect the balance until a time like this” Kael leaned against the table, his sharp eyes scanning the map."But they’re not just hiding, are they?
(Alexander’s POV)I was sitting in my office, the moonlight streaming through the window casting a silvery glow. I leaned back in my chair, my fingers tracing the edges of my phone as I contemplated the conversation I was about to have. The events of the past weeks weighed heavily on my mind, and I knew it was time to reach out for help beyond the werewolf realm. With a steadying breath, I dialed a familiar number. After a few rings, a smooth, deep voice answered on the other end."Alex," The voice drawled, a hint of amusement in its tone."To what do I owe this late-night call? Trouble in paradise?" I couldn't help but smirk despite the seriousness of the situation."Valen, it's been a while. And no, this i
