(Author’s POV)
The battlefield was filled with anguish, blood, and wrath. While everyone battled, Lazarus stood at a distance, watching with twisted amusement.
A sadistic smirk curled on his lips as he took in the scene. He could see the exhaustion creeping into their movements, their strength wavering. They were tiring.
He yawned dramatically and then sighed.
"This is getting boring," He mused, rolling his neck lazily.
"I need something… more entertaining” His eerie red eyes scanned the battlefield, seeking something or rather, someone to inflict pain upon.
And then, his gaze landed on the twin sisters.

(Evelyn’s POV)The once-chaotic battlefield was now a place of silence and mourning. The echoes of war still lingered in our hearts. The victory had come at a cost, many lives lost, many injured.Alex, as the Alpha King, had taken responsibility for honoring the fallen. A grand tribute was held, flames lighting up the night sky as the names of the brave warriors were spoken one by one. Families mourned, but there was also pride for their sacrifices that had secured a future free from darkness. The packlands slowly began to heal. The wounded were treated, the ruins rebuilt, and despite the sorrow, life moved on.The twins, though battered and bruised, had survived with only a few injuries. (Alexander’s POV)The morning sun streamed through the large windows of my study, casting a golden glow over the wooden desk where I sat, deep in thought. Across from me, aunt Veronica lounged in her chair, a smile on her lips as she listened to my plan."A baby shower?" She repeated, tilting her head with amusement. I nodded, a small smile breaking across my face."Yes. After everything we've been through, after all the loss and pain, I want to celebrate something beautiful. I want to honor Evelyn and our child. And more than that, I want our people, our family, and our allies to have a reason to smile again".Her eyes softened. She had seen firsthand how much Evelyn meant to me, how deeply I loved her. (Author’s POV)It was finally the day for…baby shower. The evening air carried a soft warmth, the sky painted in hues of pink and orange as the sun began to set. The backyard had been transformed into a breathtaking wonderland, golden fairy lights twinkled overhead, delicate floral arrangements adorned every table, and a grand white and gold theme set the tone for the magical night. A beautifully decorated area had been arranged with gifts, and a grand couch sat in the middle, waiting for the guest of honor.Alex stood near the entrance, greeting guests with a charming smile. (Evelyn’s POV)The morning after the grand celebration, the warmth of joy still lingered in the air. Laughter and conversations filled the halls as everyone gathered for breakfast, savoring the last moments together before some had to depart.Rain, standing beside her fellow faes, looked around at the people she had fought alongside. The war had forged bonds stronger than blood. She turned to Alex and me, offering a small yet graceful smile."It’s time for us to return” She said softly. My eyes glistened, stepping forward to hug Rain tightly."You don’t have to go…" I murmured, knowing the answer but still wishing for a different one. Rain chuckled softly.
When you feel that everything is fine in your life, then god completely changes your life over which you have no control over. Same thing happened in her life. One minute her family was happy and enjoying and the next minute that happiness got coloured with sorrow and blood.“Mom - Dad!” A girl who is severely injured tried calling her parents, when she saw blood flowing from their body continuously and looked at her mom who was just looking at her back with tears in her eyes.“Pls someone help… is someone there? pls” she asked for help in a desperate situation.“Mom, no! pls don’t leave me. Mom” she tried to talk to her as her mother’s aqua blue eyes started closing.“T-Take care…Eve” her mother’s last words before her eyes closed. When the girl saw her parents' lifeless bodies, she became shocked. She was not saying anything. And just laid there, waiting for, don't know how much time, seeing her parents until a shadow came beside the passenger seat of the car. The girl came out of
(Evelyn’s POV)The moment my eyes opened it automatically went towards my family photo, dad making weird faces with me and mom smiling at our antics with one hand on her swollen belly. This was my happy family who was waiting for a new member but everything got destroyed that day.“When will we be a family again, dad?.. I miss you alot, pls come back to us. Mom and I can’t live without you…pls” I clutched that photo frame tightly to my chest and tears flowed continuously from my eyes. After an hour, I could see the sun shining brilliantly in the clear blue sky as soon as I left my house. It was a bright light in my otherwise drab life and began to go in the direction of the bus station, where the sound of my heels became less audible through the haze of nearby people going about their business in a world that is definitely brighter than mine.Even at the age of 24, the burden of all my responsibilities keeps me from leading the free life that a twenty-four-year-old girl ought to lead
(Alexander’s POV)I heard a scream as soon as I woke up, so I hurried downstairs to the kitchen to see what was making the commotion. I noticed that our enormous and opulent kitchen was in disarray, and all of the maids were standing in a queue against the wall with their heads down. Then I turn to face the person who called my name.“Yes my princess?” I asked with a calm voice to my sister who scowled at me.“See, what a mess Alaina made” she said while glaring at her, who was covered in a white powder like stuff.“I just wanted to give you a surprise'' Alaina said while looking at me with tears in her eyes.“Al come here” I opened my arms for her and caressed her head. “Ash, don’t just stand there. I want my other princess also” and opened my right arm for her as well. She walked into my arms and hugged Alaina also.“I am sorry Alaina, I should have not shouted at you” Ashley said while looking at her and in return Alaina smiled at her while saying ‘It’s ok’.“Now that’s my girls.

(Author’s POV)The battlefield was drenched in blood, echoing with the snarls of beasts, the clashing of weapons, and the cries of the wounded. The war between Alex and Daimon had been raging for hours, neither backing down. The ground beneath them was cracked and scorched, the sky above darkened as if mourning the lives lost in this brutal battle.Alex’s wolf and Daimon stood at the center, their bodies covered in wounds, blood seeping from deep gashes. Alex bared his fangs, growling low and dangerous. Daimon, with his monstrous form towering over him, glared back with glowing red eyes. Both were exhausted, but neither showed any signs of surrender.Evelyn stood within Alden’s sanctuary, her heart racing as she watched the two titans clash. (Author’s POV)The once peaceful lands of Alex's pack grounds were now a battlefield, filled with the sounds of war. The ground was soaked with blood, and the air crackled with dark magic as Lazarus’s demonic army clashed against the united forces of Alex's pack, witches, vampires, fae, and guardians. The pack members, exhausted and battered, fought with all the strength they had left, but Lazarus's army was relentless. The demons, monstrous and terrifying, were swarming every corner, and with Lazarus's dark magic fueling them, the pack found it hard to hold their ground.Wolves, injured and weary, fought with their claws and teeth, but the demons’ brutal strength and Lazarus’s unyielding power made each strike feel like it was costing them a piece of their life.
(Author’s POV)The battlefield trembled under the clash of two titans… Alex, the Alpha King, radiating raw power and determination, and Daimon, the embodiment of darkness, exuding malice and cruelty.Their armies fought fiercely behind them, but it was as if the world had narrowed to just these two. Evelyn, standing within the safety of Alden’s sanctuary, watched the battle with bated breath, her hands clutching the edges of the barrier as if her touch alone could protect Alex. Her heart hammered with every strike and blow. They clashed repeatedly, sparks flying as light and darkness battled for dominance. Alex’s strikes were precise and powerful, driven by his unyielding love for his family. Daimon countered with raw strength and malice, each swing of his blade aiming to crush Alex entirely
