The drive to the Shadow Howlers Pack was less than an hour.  Bianca sat quietly, holding Gunnar's hand.  She hoped he would continue being kind once they were on his lands.

"Are you okay?" He asked, raising her hand to his lips to kiss the back of it.

"I'm just nervous.  You don't have a problem with me being so young, do you?  I'm not as mature as you are, and I don't want your pack to treat me like a kid." Bianca looked at him, and he shook his head.

"They wouldn't dare disrespect you like that.  I don't have any issues with your age.  There are only eight years between us, not fifty.  Are you okay with it?" Gunnar looked over and felt insecure.  Was he too old for her?  She smiled at him, easing his fear.

"I don't care how old you are.  You're my mate, so that means you're perfect for me.  You don't have a girlfriend or some crazy jealous ex that will be after me when we show up, do you?" Bianca asked seriously.

"No.  I've never had a girlfriend, and no crazy she-wolf claiming to be my one and only.  Everyone knew I was waiting for my mate." Bianca heard howling in the distance as they pulled up to a long road.  She assumed it was the guards from the pack letting them know their leader was back.  When they stopped in front of the largest pack house she'd ever seen, she looked at it in awe.

It looked more like a mansion than a pack house.  It was at least five stories high and made from a pale grey stone with large pillars.  Trisha plastered her face to the window and giggled.

"Wow, this place is huge," she said excitedly.  Gunnar chuckled at their reaction.

"Our pack is a lot bigger than yours.  Come on.  I'll introduce you to everyone." Gunnar jumped out and ran to the other side to let Bianca and Trisha out.  The little pup jumped into his arms, and he held Bianca's hand as they walked to the house.

"Uncle Gunny," Polly came flying out of the house but stopped in her tracks when she saw he was holding another pup.

"Polly, this is Trisha.  Her sister Bianca is my mate." Polly instantly went from concerned to happy.

"We have a luna?" Polly jumped up and down excitedly, looking at Bianca.

"Hi, Polly; it's nice to meet you," Bianca said with a smile.

"You're so pretty.  Can I help you like I help Uncle Gunny?  Where are you from?  Can I live with you guys now?" Bianca looked from Polly to Gunnar with her mouth open.  Even Trisha was staring at the little ball of energy, unsure what to do.  Gunnar started laughing.

"Polly, I think you made them speechless.  Calm down; we'll get it all figured out.  How about you show Trisha around?" Polly looked at the little girl Gunnar was still holding and smiled as he put her on her feet.

"Would you like to come and see my room?  I have lots of toys." Trisha nodded.  Polly took her hand, and they walked into the pack house together.  Bianca grinned after them.  Her sister needed this.

"Sorry about hurricane Polly.  She's been waiting anxiously for me to find my mate." Bianca smiled up at him.

"She's beautiful and the first person I've known to make Trisha quiet for more than a few seconds.  I have a feeling they'll be good friends." Bianca looked around and noticed a crowd forming.  Gunnar noticed too; he pulled her forward, putting his arm around her shoulders.

"Hello, everyone.  I would like you to meet my mate Bianca.  She's the daughter of Alpha Karl of The Last Moon Pack." Gunnar announced loudly, beaming down at her.  Bianca smiled at everyone, most of whom smiled back.  Gunnar had said he never dated anyone, but she could tell some women weren't happy she had claimed their alpha.

Bianca decided to test her theory.  Watching their faces, she brought Gunnar's mouth down to hers for a quick kiss.  They turned red with envy.

“Welcome Luna Bianca. I'm Beta Austin, and this is my mate Jessica." Bianca held out her hand to the tall man with short black hair and his mate, who was tall and thin with long blonde hair.

"It's nice to meet you both.  I brought my sister with me, so if you see a little red-headed pup running around that you don't recognize, that's Trisha." Everyone laughed as they headed toward the pack house.  Jessica fell into step at Bianca's side.

"Ignore the unmated she-wolves giving you the evil eye.  They did the same thing to me when they found out I was Austin's mate.  They're just jealous that our mates couldn't be forced to mate with someone from their pack.  If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me for help.  I've only been here for about six months but know my way around." Bianca looked at the young woman and smiled.

"Thank you.  I may take you up on that.  This place is ten times bigger than our pack, and they treat women differently, too.  It's refreshing." Jessica looked at her with her eyes narrowed.

"Differently how?" She asked.

"Well, for instance, my mother was only allowed to address my father as alpha.  No one called her luna.  My dad's philosophy was that a woman's place was only to have pups, cook, clean, and stay quiet." Jessica looked mortified at Bianca's words.

"Oh, my dear sweet girl.  Thank goodness you got out of there.  The Shadow Howlers are completely different.  They treat women as equals.  Are you going to be able to keep your sister here long term?" She asked as they made their way inside the pack house.

"I hope to.  My dad won't even notice she's gone.  I've always been more of a mother figure to her anyway.  There's a fourteen-year age difference between us.  She was our surprise pup.  Mom didn't even know she was pregnant," Gunnar stopped and turned toward her with a frown.

"Your mom didn't know she was pregnant?  How is that possible?" He asked, and Bianca shrugged.

"I have no idea.  I was away at school and was only home on the weekends.  One day, I came home and had a sister." Gunnar, Austin, and Jessica all exchanged a look.  Something wasn't right about that situation.  He decided to look into it later.

Bianca looked around in amazement as they walked inside.  The floors were smooth grey stone.  The walls were bright white, with tasteful artwork on them.  The furniture was large and comfy looking.

"Wow.  This is incredible," Bianca said softly, letting her eyes take everything in.

"Welcome home, luna," Gunnar whispered in her ear, making her giggle.  "Let me show you our room first, and then I'll give you a tour after we check on Polly and Trisha."

They waved to Austin and Jessica before heading up the wide staircase.  The pack house reminded her of an old castle.  She kept looking around, taking in every beautiful detail, from the shiny wood railings to the ceilings that looked at least twelve feet high.  When they reached the third floor, Gunnar pulled her to the end of the hall.

"This is our room or suite, depending on how you look at it." He opened the door, and once again, Bianca was blown away.

"I think I'll call it our apartment." She answered, looking around.  There was an enormous round bed.  It looked like it could fit ten people.

The furniture was large and made of dark wood and leather.  The bathroom was bigger than her old bedroom and bathroom combined.  She could already imagine soaking in the gigantic bathtub for hours.  When she walked into the walk-in closet, which could easily double as another bedroom, she was surprised to see someone had already unpacked her belongings.

"When did they do this?" She asked, looking at Gunnar, who was leaning against the doorframe, smiling at her.

"While we were outside.  Are you ready to check on the girls before I show you around?" Bianca ran over and threw her arms around him.

"Yes, but first, I want this," She pulled his face to hers and held him there.  The only other kiss they'd shared was outside when she was staking her claim.  This time, she wanted more.  When she opened her mouth, he slipped his tongue inside, stroking her tongue in a way that made her knees weak.  She moaned, and he lifted her so she could wrap her legs around his waist.  When they needed air, she clung to him tightly, still wrapped around his body.

"I'm so glad it was you I was waiting for.  You're more than I could have ever dreamed of.  I know you still need time to decide if you want to accept me, but in the meantime, I'm glad you're here."  Gunnar kissed her cheek before burying his face in her neck, taking in her scent.  She pulled back, putting both her hands on his cheeks.

"I don't need time.  When you first called me, mate, I already knew I would accept you.  I appreciate that you respected me enough to give me a choice, but I don't need one.  You are the only one I want.  You're everything I wanted and more in a mate." His face lit up, making her giggle as he lifted her high into the air before bringing her mouth down onto his.

"So you're okay with sharing our bed with me tonight?  I'm willing to sleep on the couch or in another room if you want me to.  We don't have to do anything, but I would like to hold you."  Bianca shook her head.

"No, you're sleeping with me, and you're going to be doing much more than holding me.  We've waited to find our mates, and now that we have each other, the wait is over.  Tonight is going to be unforgettable." Gunnar almost dropped her when her words sunk in.  All he could think was, what if he was terrible at sex?  What if she was disappointed and decided to reject him because he wasn't an alpha in that department?  Her giggle brought him back to her.

"Whatever you're thinking, stop.  I can feel you poking me, so I'm sure you'll be fine."  Bianca smirked when his face turned slightly red.

"You can feel me, huh?  Well then, you better stop kissing me, or we might not leave this bedroom."  He pushed against her a little harder, and she grinned.

"As tempting as that is, I need to check on Trisha.  Besides, what good is getting you all wound up if I just let you have your way?"  Bianca loosened her legs from around his waist and slid down his body right over his large erection.  Gunnar closed his eyes and groaned.

"That's not fair.  You're making it so I won't be able to walk." He said with a notable tent in his shorts.  Bianca looked into his eyes as she took her hand and cupped him, squeezing slightly.  His knees almost buckled from the feel of her hand through his shorts.  No one had ever touched him there, and it made his body quiver with pleasure.

"I promise I'll make the wait worth your while," She said softly.  Gunnar decided to turn the tables on her when he could smell her arousal.  He slid his hand down her side, and when he got to her shorts, he continued inside her waistband.  He paused, waiting to see her reaction, but she only stared at him.  When he moved down between her legs, he could feel her panties were soaked as he lightly rubbed her.

"It looks like I'm not the only one affected." He whispered while increasing his rubbing, making her legs wobble.

"I think that's enough playtime.  Although now I need to change my panties.  I don't need everyone smelling my arousal when I meet them." Gunnar pulled his hand out of her pants, lifted her, and carried her to the bed, lying her on her back.

"What are you doing?" She asked as he grinned.

"Helping you change," Gunnar looked into her eyes as he slowly unzipped her shorts and pulled them off, leaving her only in her pale green thong.  His erection grew even more, but he ignored it.  He

wanted to give her a release and show her how much he desired her.

Bianca kept her eyes locked with his as he rubbed her through her panties.  She bit her lip to hold in her moans of pleasure.  When he pulled her panties off, her breath caught in her throat.  He saw her nervousness and shook his head.

"Don't worry; I'm not going all the way.  Can I touch you?"  She nodded, and he grinned.  He knew she thought he meant with his fingers, but he wanted something else.  He wanted to taste her.

Gunnar lifted her legs and put her feet on the bed, spreading her legs wide.  He'd never seen a woman like this, and he wanted to stop and enjoy it, but her scent was so strong he couldn't control himself.

Bianca waited to feel his fingers on her but gasped when she felt something very different.  She opened her eyes and looked down between her thighs.  He was looking up at her, grinning.

Gunnar ran his tongue down the length of her slit, and she arched her back for more.  She was already so wet she knew the bed would probably need new sheets.  When she felt his tongue on her clit she moaned while her eyes rolled back in her head.  He sucked it and licked it, making her squirm with pleasure.

Just when she thought she couldn't take anymore, he stopped and slid his tongue deep inside her, dipping it in and out.  Bianca felt heat spread over her body as her legs began to shake.  She lost control when he moved his mouth back to her little bud, using his finger to pump in and out of her.

She didn't try to hold back her screams as she orgasmed hard.  He used his tongue to lap up all she was giving him.  When she was done, he kept licking her until he had every drop.

"What a tasty treat," He said while licking his lips.  Bianca just stared at him while she processed what had just happened.  She never thought an orgasm would be so powerful.  Gunnar looked at her with concern.

"I'm sorry, did I go too far?  Were you not ready for that yet?" He asked, worried.

"I'm fine.  I just didn't expect it to be that good.  I want to return the favor, but I need to check on Trisha.  Can I take care of you tonight?  I promise I'll make it extra special." Gunnar smiled while lying beside her, his head propped up on his hand.

"I didn't do it because I expected anything in return.  I did it to help you relax and so I could taste you.  When I smelled your arousal, I had to have you.  Do you want to take a quick shower, and I'll check on the girls?  When you get done, Polly's room is four doors down."  He leaned over and kissed her softly.  She turned toward him, holding him close.

"Okay.  Thank you." After he left, she didn't move for a few minutes.  A few hours ago, she was afraid she and her family would be killed, and now she was with her mate.  Bianca was overwhelmed, but in a good way.

Gunnar was amazing, and she couldn't wait to be his luna. However, something was bothering her. She never thought about why her mother didn't know she was pregnant with Trisha, but after seeing the others' reactions, she couldn't stop thinking about it. Was there something she was missing?

After a quick shower, Bianca put on a dark green sundress with sandals. She didn't typically wear dresses but wanted to make a good impression at her first pack dinner. When she walked out of the bedroom, she didn't need to count the doors to Polly's room. She just followed the squeals of laughter. Bianca stopped at the door and giggled at what she saw. Gunnar was sitting on the floor next to a tiny table where Trisha and Polly were serving tea. He was sipping his tea with his pinkie finger sticking out. What made it even funnier was they had him wearing a fancy white hat and makeup. His lips and some of his face were bright pink. He had dark red on his cheeks, and his eyes and eyebrows were blue. Bianca pulled out her phone and took a picture just as they noticed her. Trisha jumped up and ran to her. "I love this place. Can I stay here?" She asked eagerly. Bianca picked her up and kissed her makeup-covered face. "I'm going to see what I can do to keep you here, okay?" Trisha nodd

Bianca stood still and pretended she didn't hear what her father had mindlinked to the pack. She knew the warriors from Shadow Howlers were already in place. Her father looked confused as he waited."What's wrong, Karl? You expected something to happen? We came prepared, and they have already taken your warriors down." As she finished speaking, they heard wolves coming from the surrounding forest, some in wolf form and some in human form. From the look on her dad's face, he knew his warriors weren't going to help him."Did you really think you would be able to defeat the Shadow Howlers? This is what we do. Now Karl and Anara, your daughter, and I have some questions for you." Gunnar said, stepping forward. Karl started backing up, but one of the warriors was there and stopped him. Bianca led everyone to her father's office, where Gunnar sat behind the desk with her on his lap. Karl looked ready to blow when he was forced to sit in a chair in front of his own desk."We don't

Bianca and Gunnar took the kidnapped Omega back to her pack. She hugged Bianca and waved shyly at Gunnar before running toward her family's house, which was next to the pack house. It was terribly late when they got home, but everyone was still waiting for them. "How'd it go?" Cyril asked as they approached the porch where he stood with Marisa, Trisha, and Polly."We put everyone that appeared to be involved in the dungeons and left some of the warriors there. Everyone else is in their homes. King Zaiden will be going to see them tomorrow. Omar will get all the evidence together, and we'll return in the morning to prepare for the King's arrival." Gunnar answered, looking at Trisha sadly. He felt sick about what had happened to her family and that Karl and Anara were completely unremorseful for the deaths they were responsible for. "Polly said I can sleep in her room so we can have a sleepover. Is that okay?" Trisha asked Bianca hopefully. "That sounds like fun. Do you

Gunnar didn't want to get out of bed the following morning, but they had a busy day ahead. He and Bianca were so tired they passed out immediately after having sex. He kept thinking about the night before. He looked down at Bianca's angelic face resting on his chest. Lying with her against him was the best feeling in the world. He rubbed his hand up and down her back, causing her to moan. "What time is it?" Bianca asked sleepily."It's almost time to leave. I didn't want to wake you any earlier than I had to. How are you feeling?" he asked, kissing the top of her head."I feel incredible. I wish we had more time, but we need to get to Last Moon. I've never met the King. What's he like?" Bianca asked, hiding her chuckle when she heard a slight growl inside Gunnar. "He's decent and fair. Please stay with me when we're around him. He hasn't found his mate yet, and I don't think he's trying very hard to look for her. He doesn't have the same morals we do, and the rumors a

Bianca looked back at Gunnar and saw a lycan holding him back so he couldn't follow her. She had spoken bravely to the king but couldn't help the ripple of fear that went down her spine as he pulled her toward the dungeons. When they were far enough away from everyone else, he stopped and looked at her."So, do you want to tell me why you spoke to me like that? Was it because you were in front of your mate? I saw the way you stared at me when I first got here. I know you're attracted to me. We're all alone now. You can tell me the truth." Zaiden stepped close to her so his body was flush with hers and looked down into her eyes. Bianca refused to back down."You're an attractive man, I'm not going to lie, but no one compares to Gunnar. I've heard about you and your lack of morals when it comes to women. Do you really think that's what a woman wants? To be used as a man's plaything and sent away. It's disgusting." She looked up at him, speaking with a calm voice. The smirk on his face

The following day, Bianca and Gunnar sat down to talk with Austin, Jessica, Marisa, and Cyril to make preparations for the mating ceremony. They would mark each other in front of the pack and then introduce Bianca as the official luna. "Is there anything special you want?" Marisa asked Bianca excitedly. "I'd be happy just to mark each other and be done with it. I don't need a fancy party or anything else." She looked over at Gunnar and took his hand. Having him by her side was all that was important. "Well, that's not going to happen. This is a big deal. Let Jessica and I take care of it. After the day you had yesterday, you need a break. Why don't you take the girls down to the river and have a picnic? We'll have the ceremony the day after tomorrow. All you two have to do is show up." Marisa practically pushed them out of the room. Bianca and Gunnar looked at each other and laughed. "I think we should take your mom's advice. Let's take the girls to the river." Bianca sai

It was still daylight, but there seemed to be a shadow over the former pack lands."Alright, everyone spread out. Don't leave any stone unturned." Gunnar said. Everyone went off in pairs to begin their search. Gunnar and Bianca headed toward the dungeons. When they got there, it was nothing but ash and metal. "Let's go beyond the dungeons. If they had a hidden place, it wouldn't be easily found." Gunnar took her hand, leading her past the ruble. "I've never been back here. My dad was strict on what parts of the pack lands women and children were allowed to go on. The dungeons and anywhere around them were off-limits. I just assumed it was because it was too dangerous. I never thought they were trying to hide anything." Bianca looked around, trying to find something that would show them the secret place that Trisha had talked about."I don't think we'll

All those rescued from Last Moon were taken to their chosen pack or location, and five, including Alani, decided to join the Shadow Howlers. Now that everything was settled, it was time for Gunnar and Bianca's ceremony. Neither of them was interested in the minor details; they were just ready to mark each other. Jessica and Marisa had picked out Bianca's dress. It was dark blue, off the shoulder, and clung to her curves. It shimmered in the light whenever she moved. Bianca looked at herself in the mirror and had to admit that she'd never felt more beautiful. They had done her hair in a twist, with a few loose curls framing her face. She turned around when she heard someone running. Polly and Trisha came flying into the room. Their white dresses were covered in sparkles with big blue bows tied at the back. "What are you two doing?" Bianca asked. "Gram wants to put our hair in braids, but we don't want her to," Polly said just as Marisa entered the room. "There you are, you lit

It was the first time that everyone who had been involved in the fight would all be together again with their little ones. "Yes. We can't wait to see all the babies," Polly said excitedly. Bianca picked up Ashton, changed his diaper, and put him in his car seat. "Knock, knock," Alani said as she walked into the room, followed by Omar carrying their son Phoenix. "Hi, little guy," Trisha said when Omar squatted down so she and Polly could kiss his cheeks. They had become the big sisters to everyone's little ones. “What do you mean, they have the mark of the goddesses?” Gunnar asked as he and Bianca squatted down next to Sabnac and looked into Trisha's and Polly's eyes. “Stare into their pupils. Do you see the gold flickering?” He asked. Bianca gasped as she stared into Trisha’s eyes. She’d never noticed that before. Gunnar was stunned when he saw the same thing in Polly’s eyes. “What does this mean?” Bianca asked. Polly and Trisha looked at Sabnac in confusion. “We aren’t pups?” Polly asked him. He chuckled a deep chuckle and everyone around him looked in disbelief at the demon. No one had thought they'd see a demon like him laugh. “You’re still pups, but you’re very special pups. A goddess sent you here. I don’t know who or why, but someone sent you to Earth. That’s why you both are so mature for your age and have good instincts.” He explained. “How do you know so much about this?” Alani asked.

He should be here soon.” Nyx, Helios, Andrew, and Hermes all gasped in surprise. “Who is Sabnac?” Selena asked. They were in the office trying to come up with a plan of attack. “He’s one of the scariest demons in the underworld. He and Psyche trust each other, though. He's the one who killed her sisters.” No sooner did Jameson finish speaking than there was a loud knock on the front door. “That’s probably him now,” Andrew said as they all stood up, left the office, and went to the front door. Polly and Trisha stayed in front of Selena. They wanted to see the demon for themselves before they tru

The guards didn’t say anything as they mindlinked Gunnar. When they opened the gates, he bowed to them slightly. “Thank you, good men,” Jameson teleported to the palace doors. He could have done that to begin with, but he didn’t want to cause any unnecessary alarm. Just as he was about to knock on the door, it opened and Andrew walked out. “I’m glad you could make it. Please come in. I let everyone know you were coming.” Andrew led him inside, and Jameson’s eyes went right to the two pups who were standing front and center in front of everyone else. Those two witches don't deserve the same. Please stay here." Psyche nodded and stayed where she was while Sabnac continued toward her sisters. When he was only a few yards away, they ran into the house and slammed the door shut. Psyche smiled as she watched him kick in the door. She never judged people based on rumors, she liked to form her own opinions of them. Those from the underworld deserved the same respect as everyone else. Sabnac was a ruthless demon,
