"Next up is Jenna Kennedy." Miss Helen said it out loud, when Jenna was next for the tryout. She felt the intensity as she walked away from the line of enthusiastic yet nervous girls to the middle of the gym.

"Can you please show me a rolly polly to start off with?" Miss Helen asked. Jenna froze for a moment because she hadn't done it in years but she just took a deep breath then just went for it. "Great, can you show me a handstand or a cartwheel now." Miss Helen continued. Jenna did a cartwheel since she did it all the time, she remembered practising it with Stacy over and over again, until it was finally perfect and lucky for her, it turned out to be perfect too in the tryouts and she was quite proud of it. "Well done! Now, show me a tumble." Miss Helen ordered and that's when Jenna panicked. She really didn't know how to do a tumble. She had a few attempts at it before but failed epically.

"Can I please start off with a crab?" Jenna insisted.

"Yeah sure." Miss Helen replied. Jenna started off with a crab but suddenly, her legs got stuck in the air halfway through her tumble so she rushed to land on her legs which turned out emmm... Not so good. "Okay... Is there any other skills that you would like to show me?" Miss Helen asked. Jenna responded with a straddle jump, pike and hurdler which she demonstrated perfectly. Then, to finish off, the teacher requested Jenna to perform a cheer dance routine. The panic gushed into her again. She had absolutely no idea what to do. Until, something clicked. Stacy would always perform her cheer dance routines in her bedroom and call Jenna over to her house just to watch it.

"Here I go." She started. Jenna's hands went "smack" against her lean thighs then "woop" in the air. The dance went on and on but unfortunately, she forgot bits of her routine, which made it seem quite messy. To finish off she kneeled down, doing a hair flick. Jenna ended up believing that it was rubbish since she made so many mistakes!

After her tryout ended she felt so miserable, she genuinely believed that she didn't get in. "You did really well." Jenna's head snapped up to this pretty girl with a caramel skin tone and mousey brown hair. Her hair was tied in a half up half down with big curls.

"Thanks." Jenna appreciated.

"I'm Amelia by the way but you can call me Amy." She introduced. Are you new? I've never seen you before." Amy curiously asked.

"Yes, I'm Jenna and I just moved here from England." Jenna introduced herself to Amy.

"Cool, I've never been to England before but I heard it's a great place." Amy continued.

"Yah! It is. You should visit sometimes." Jenna suggested. Even though, Amy had to push the conversation to get her to talk, Jenna felt comfortable around Amy.

"I sure will! Let me know if you need anything." Amy reassured.

"I see that you met Amy." Delilah surprisingly appeared behind Jenna and rested her chin on Jenna's shoulder.

"Yeah," Jenna replied shifting her head to her

lefts side, facing Delilah with a smile but she couldn't help but feel a little surprised by Delilah's affection.

"You were so great D!" This girl with blonde hair and blue eyes just jumped out of nowhere and complimented her best friend.

"Thanks, babe." Delilah winked.

"And you! Was that supposed to be a cartwheel?" The girl mocked her other best friend playfully.

"Fuck you." Amy joked with her tongue out.

"Anyway, Bella! Meet Jenna, she just moved here from England." Delilah introduced.

"Hi!" Jenna waved.

"Ohh Hi," Bella replied. "I love your accent,"

"Thank you." Jenna appreciated.

"And did you make up your cheer dance yourself? It was great." Her blue eyes sparkled.

"Oh no." Jenna laughed. I suck at making cheer dances this was one of Stacy's cheer dances." Jenna explained.

"Stacy?" Bella raised an eyebrow.

"Yah my best friend from England. She used to make me watch her dances all the time." Jenna revealed.

"I made Amy do that last week," Bella said giggling then playfully kicked Amy.

"Oh my gosh, you needed so much help with that." Amy mocked.

"Shut up!" Bella yelled.

"Seriously what would you do without me?" Amy said directly looking at Bella while folding her arms across her chest.

"Fail all her math exams." Delilah joked and the girls busted out laughing.

"Seriously, you've got to stop copying off my answers and do some revision yourself." Amy snapped.

"Yeah, Bella." Delilah mocked. Bella responded by pushing Delilah lightly.

"Delilah? weren't you copying off Janis last week?" Amy reminded while Delilah rolled her eyes. Janis was the smartest girl in their classes who were currently doing 11th-grade math.

"Have you seen her new glasses?" Delilah changed the subject, seeming interested.

"Oh yeah." Amy agreed. At that moment, Jenna felt the tension inside her head, she felt bad for this clever girl, they were about to mock.

"They are so stylish I've got to get them." Delilah complemented.

"What?" Jenna questioned in her head feeling guilty for getting them completely wrong. Even though, it was just in her head.

"For sure," Bella said enthusiastically, leaning closer to Delilah.

Throughout the entire conversation, Jenna just nodded her head since she had no idea what to say. These girls had been friends since, they were in elementary school. Their parents all knew each other and they were also friends with each other.

Just minutes after that, miss Helen approached Jenna and said "Congratulations! You're officially in the cheerleading squad."

"Wait! I got in?" Jenna questioned. Not being able to believe, what she was hearing. She actually got it!

"Uhh... Yah... You were our only choice." Miss Helen replied, scratching her hair and rethinking her decision. Jenna really didn't know what to say to that but she felt lucky enough to get in.

"You got in?" "Same!" "Congratulations!" The girls showered Jenna with compliments.

"Do you want to have lunch with us after? We're going to the pizza place." Delilah offered.

"Yeah, it would be fun, come along," Bella suggested while smiling at Jenna, bringing out the colour of her rosy cheeks.

"Sure!" Jenna gushed. Jenna had never been to the pizza place at lunchtime with her friends before. Her old school never allowed her to go out at lunchtime.

"Great We'll wait for you outside of your next lesson." Amy insisted.

"What lesson do you have next," Delilah asked Jenna.

"Hip-hop." Jenna simply answered.

"Oh, I don't have your next lesson but a couple of my friends are there, they will help you if you need anything." Delilah comforted. "But I'll walk you there."

"Oh thank you." Jenna appreciated.

"See you later girls." Delilah waved to Amy and Bella. Amy responded by waving back while Bella gave her a pouty face.

"Thank you so much for letting me borrow your leggings." Jenna thanked again on her way to the dance studio.

"It is fine but do you remember what I said earlier?" Delilah reminded.

"Oh, yeah." She smiled.

"This surely means that you'll do anything for me in return right? Just like how my friends and I do anything for each other and we'll also do the same for you, from now on. Am I right?" Delilah smirked.

Jenna really didn't know how to respond to that. She couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable. "Emm... Sure..." Jenna smiled awkwardly while scratching the back of her head.

"Thanks, babe." Delilah winked. "Now we've finally arrived at the hip-hop studio and we'll see you at lunch. Love ya." Delilah blew a kiss then glided away.

After a really long day at school, Stacy finally arrived home. She loosened her sleek black tie and dropped her bag onto her grey carpet. She felt so mentally exhausted from all the yelling and screaming. After pealing her uniform off, she made sure to fold it neatly. She decided to put on her pink Victoria's Secret robe which was the most favourite robe she owned then rushed into her bathroom, performing her daily skincare routine. First, she splashed her face with some cold water which started helping her feel a lot calmer then she squeezed some of her tea tree foaming facewash onto her palm and started massaging her face with it. She could feel the coolness surrounding her face which was very pleasant to feel then she scrubbed her face with some nspa which smelled of raspberries and helped get rid of all the dead skin. To finish off she smeared some of her Neutrogena visibly clear wash mask and splashed water right onto her face afterwards. In the end, she made sure to dab her fa

Stacy stretched her lean arms, rising up her chest. "Beep beep.... Beep beep..." The noise blabbered again.
