“Usap muna kayo.” Iniwan nila ako kay Eros kaya naman tinitigan ko si Eros ng matagal.

“I’m really sorry if you found out that way, Mayi.” Naupo siya sa gilid ng kama ng ospital at bahagyang napayuko.

“I heard from your dad that you suffered depression because of your mom’s loss. Hindi ko alam na pupunta ka sa office ko kaya hindi ko naitago lahat ng ‘yon.” Lumunok ako at pinakinggan siya.

“Maybe, it’s already time for me to find out what really happened. Gusto ko lang talagang magluksa kahit isang araw para mailabas ko yung nararamdaman ko at hindi ko inaasahan na may ganitong mangyayari.” Matipid akong ngumiti.

“If this is murder then they really have to pay, whatever it takes.” Tumango tango si Eros.

“I studied your mom’s case, and the first time I scanned it I knew it was murder. I actually wanted to interview the three attorneys who held the case before, but I found out the two were already dead.” Nanlaki ang mata ko sa narinig, seryoso?

“Are they old?”

“No, they’r
