He looked outside the room for the third time in 20 minutes, he had a perfect view of the little boy with slightly wavy hair and light mahogany color, playing with a pile of legos on the table in the living room. From the small study that he had set up, he could hear the boy making noises with his mouth, speaking so many things that Ash was not able to process at the moment. It was night, so there were a few lights on in the house living room, dining room, and study.
What's keeping Ash way from going to play with Jai? Well, the mountains of jobs and tasks will not be done alone, that is a fact. On his desk he has his laptop on, the one that is almost the hight as Jai, in addition to various materials: sheets of many colors, scissors, glue, cardboard. God, whoever saw Ash would believe two things: that he is an elementary school teacher or that he has a stationery store at home. The truth is that the last option is closer to reality, but all those materials are for his manual work (posters, models, etc.) that they leave him every week at the university. And no, he is not exaggerating. Studying graphic design is not easy at all.
This time he sacrifices his free time to finish his academic work, so he can give his full attention to his son.
While he is cutting some freshly printed images with a cutter, he hears a Skype call come in , so he lets out a small complaint. He didn't need to look up at the screen, he had an idea who it might be at this time of night. If it wasn't his mother, it would surely be his sister to ask about his condition.
Sure enough, Jenny name was lighting up on the screen.
He had no other choice to answer.
"Hello Jenny."
"You're working? Is it something from college or work? Where is Jai? I want to see my nephew!"
"Jenny, Jenny! One question at a time. ”He raised his voice a little. He loves his sister, but not he really don't like it when she start shouting like a stupid goat.
"Oh, don't be stupid. Come on, where's Jai? Is he sleeping already?"
"He's in the living room ... You know I don't like when he came inside the study room, too many sharp things here." Apart from his words, Ash knew that his sister would ask to see Jai, so he would have no choice but to call the little one. . "Jai! Come here, Aunt Jenny wants to say hello."
Jai wasted no time in letting out a cry of happiness, standing up as fast as he could and running to the room where Ash was, who extended his arms to receive the boy. He carried it, sitting it on one of his legs for his comfort.
"Hello Aunt Jenny!"
"Hi dear! I haven't seen you in two weeks and I already see you bigger."
At that moment they began with a short talk. Jai is a very talkative boy, especially when it comes to his closest relatives. Ash listened attentively to everything, while his eyes shifted from his sister to his son, and from his son to the agenda on the desk. He read the document in the office, running with luck not having anything too heavy to do, he had a couple of calls to make, but they would be made until tomorrow. Soon Ash was frustrate in what was written on the schedule, he start listening the two people speaking on the call in front of him.
Ash found it had an so much work. Ash has not received a response to a recent e-mail he sent on behalf of Cole industry, the company he works for. His boss was supposed to call him that day to discuss approvals for two interviews, and he still hadn't even gotten a message in return. Ash hopes that the answers to the interviews are already in the hands of his boss, otherwise the interview section of the magazine would be delayed and that would only mean more work.
I should call Mr. Cole, maybe ...
His thoughts were interrupted by a couple of slaps on his left cheek.
"What's the matter?"
"Ash, I've called you three times. What are you doing?"
Ash let out a huge sigh, rubbing his eyes with his right hand, as he was holding Jai with his left, taking care that he did not fall.
"I just checked some work pending, I should have received an answer to some emails, but I still haven't heard from anything."
"Job? God, that Adom leaves everything to you."
"Don't talk nonsense, I'm his personal assistant, it's obvious that I have to take care of a lot of things."
Ash really didn't want to have that conversation with Jenny, not again. The subject of your work is, without a doubt, the most important, no matter who you talk to. Nobody agreed that he should work, study same time beacuse he was divorced omega and single dad. Ash has received hundreds of comments and "suggestions" that he should quit his job, accept help from his ex-husband for his last two semester payments, and spend the rest of her time caring for his son and getting another alpha.
God, who wants an alpha? Ash no. Not an alpha, not a beta. Any. He's fine like this, in past the only alphas he needs was his father and ex-husband, no no else. But now he really don't wany anyone in his life.
He is happy with his son.
"Haven't you thought about ...?"
"I'm not leaving work to party or stay home all day, Jenny. I have told you many times, working there is a good opportunity."
"You're an alpha's assistant, you don't work in the design area." The older woman's face showed slight weariness. "I do not want to be middle but you have great talent in the area in which you want to work, but remember that you are young, you have a son and ..."
"And a broken bond" An omega without alpha is the last thing anyone want for themselves, even some omega really respect Ash but of-course many alphas will see him as useless omega whose Alpha leave him. But no, that doesn't stop him at all, but he is also really not interested in finding any other partner. Having an alpha would mean modifying Jai's environment, having to get used to it and having a stranger invade their territory.
"Jenny, alphas are not very good option when it comes to raising a cub of another alpha and I will not leave Jai to anyone, just because you think I feel lonely in bed and I need someone for me so I can share my bed to him or her but at last what it will cost me my son. Thanks a lot for advice Jenny but no thanks I am fine with my life."
Ash could see Jenny is not happy at all when see roll her eyes and tug at her hair in despair. They're both are so stubborn, and talking about some particular topics that they know they will end up argue with each-other, Ash really want to change this topic but it is damn difficult. Neither has a remedy, so it is better to leave that issue alone.
"I don't want you to look for an alpha, I want you to go out with your friends and live with your life ... You are not enjoying your life Ash."
"I am enjoying my life Jenny. Taking care of Jai, getting all work done. I am working for our future."
It seemed that the conversation was not going to end, until Ash phone began to ring. It was strange to him, it was a bit late and only his family speaks so late, he immediately took it from the side of the computer, noticing the illuminated name of his boss. It was definitely the call he didn't expecting at all.
"Jenny, I have to hang up."
"Mh, okay ... We'll talk tomorrow, please don't stay up late."
I will not promise anything.
Jenny was the one who hung up, after blowing a kiss to Jai, who was still sitting on Ash leg. Immediately after the call ended, Ash motioned for Jai to go into the living room, so he can answered his boss's call.
"Hello, Mr. Cole?"
- Adom, just Adom. How many times do I have to repeat it, Ash?
The particular point gave him a nervous laugh, feeling embarrassed by the little scolding he just received and he just answered the call. Ash never did allow himself to "befriend" his boss.
"I'm sorry ... What happened? Do you need my help Adom?" His boss calls so late.
Adom held the glass on the table, gently moving the contents in circular motions. Between small lapses of time, he raised the glass to his lips, slowly sipping the contents, not bothering to take his eyes off his computer. He does not know what time it is, only that he has been sitting behind the desk for about two hours receiving emails, answering these and checking that everything was fine in the administration of all areas of the company. All the work that was piling up due to being absent in the last week of the month is giving him a slight headache. He stretched his body still sitting in the comfortable chair, feeling the tense muscles in his back ache and a couple of bones thunder. Shit, he loves this feeling. The door of his office was flung open, revealing one of his closest friends to enter as if he were at his own home. "You must speak to the reception first before you enter in my office Jack, after 8:00 PM. " Adom Cole, CEO of Cole cooperation lets out a curse as he wa
"Adom, just Adom. How many times do I have to repeat it, Ash?" A smile crept across Adom face and it's really fucking bright, his tone of a voice much softer than when he spoke to Jack. That caused a amused smile on Jack face, but he didn't do or say anything, he just watched. "I know it's late, sorry for calling at this time," Adom apologized before continuing. He had started to walk slowly through the office. "I received the answer about the interviews, they have approved that they appear in the magazine. So I needed to talk to you, we have a busy week;I need you to open a space in our new agenda for next week, there should be a free time and when you find it in my schedule so I can have s meeting with the representative Mr. Allen?".
"Honey, finish all your breakfast, dad will be here soon for you." Ash tries to sound as kind and calm as possible, hiding the despair in his voice, because yelling at his 5-year-old son is not a good option, not when he does not have the right Blame but it's so damn late for Ash. Mornings are usually quiet for some and a complete disaster for others, perhaps it all depends on the time you wake up and the number of activities you have to do. In his case, the Ash morning is turning out to be a total disaster. Keeping you up late finishing one of the biggest projects you have to deliver on the weekend is the main reason your day started off on the wrong foot, but being lazy and to put off the damn project would be even worse; neglecting qualifications is not something that remains on their blueprints. Not today, not ever. He goes from one place to another inside his house, looking for what he needs for work, as well as the belongings of his little boy, Jai, who is sitting at the table
Sebestian was lucky since the day he met Ash, from when they were friends and after having another type of relationship, he has always managed to convince him easily. This time, instead of getting a negative response or silly excuses, the only thing Sebestian received from her ex-husband was a sigh of surrender. The moment Jai left the room with his shoes on and a small backpack on his back, Ash took his son hand and lead him outside, making his way to the front door. He struggled a bit because of all the things he carried with him, at least until Sebestian rushed to help him carry Ash pile of folders and diary. When it was time to get inside the car, Ash things were placed in the back seats of Sebestian car, the furthest from the car seat where Ash was of placing Jai carefully, his son is keep quite s
Ash heard Adom laugh, pulling him completely out of his thoughts, which were of the possible detergents he could use to try to remove the stain. He looked forward again, how lucky he was to be so tall, so he didn't have to lift his head to look at Adom's face. They are close, not much but they are quite close. The closeness is not annoying, Adom is a good and respectful boss, never getting closer than he should, or making inappropriate comments. He is same like his ex husband, Sebestian. Adom smiles sideways, tilting his head slightly. "I'll have to wash it later." Taking a step back, he made a couple of movements with his arms to remove his jacket. "I'll go through the folders and check all of them, I will inform you if I find anything , good day Mr. Cole." Adom opened his mouth to say something, but he hesitated so he preferred to keep quiet. He waved his hand, signalling to Ash so he can go and do his work. They can't waste more time, not when the meeting going to start in
The moment Adom went down the elevator, Ash excused himself to both beta and omega who he was talking, lying about he need to go to the bathroom. He walked at a hurried pace to the toilets and when he was inside, he verified that he was free of any other presence; after that, he rushed to call Sebestian to inform him of his early departure. Ash held his cell phone carefully as he wait for Sebestian answer. Ash is actually lucky, Sebestian answer his call instantly, Ash listen how Sebestian talking to someone else before he start speaking to him. "I'm sorry, did I interrupt?" Ash murmurs in a nervous voice, the last thing he wanted to cause any problem for Sebestian. "Not at all, it's just Man. We are practically sharing our cabin today, at least since he found out that I brought Jai with me. What's going on? Ar
After their dinner with Man and Jack Sebestian drop Ash and his son Jai to their apartment. It's pretty late when he came back to his place and he is sure Allen is missing him like a crazy kitten missing his mouse. Both him and Allen are like Flex Glue. Not even water could separate them. No matter how hard you tried, they’d always find some excuse to be together. That, of course, is before Allen was forced to go on his company. No one other than but him. Not even his younger brother who is Alpha. Sebestian remember the particular weekend meeting. Allen was going to attend metting . Three days without Allen seems simple enough except for the fact that they are literally a mess without each other. Sebestian huff and change his clothes whenever he think abou
Adom has known for years now that Ash would be the death of him one day. He just never imagined that it would go down like this, with Ash sitting on Adom desk, asking Adom to consider having sex with him. "You're actually serious?" Ash nods. "As death," he says. Adom stares at him, and prays that he's going to wake up from this absurd dream soon. "Think about it!" Ash leans closer. "We've got to do this anyway at some point, and honestly, I'd rather do at you over anyone else in this place." Adom pinches himself discreetly. It hurts. He really isn't dreaming; Ash is finally trying to murder him. It's...harder than Ash expected it to be, having Adom around him all the time and getting to do all sorts of things with and to Adom , but not being able to kiss him. In his defence away from Adom is a very long time, long enough for all the immunity he used to have built up against all these urges to kiss Adom to be completely useless now. And besides, Adom at twenty-five is markedly
Six months later:-Adom entered their apartment, exhausted after a long day of meeting and paper work, and upon stepping into the living room was met with an astonishing sight. (And not in a good way.)“Ash???!!”“Adom! You're back!” His omega came out of their room padding barefoot over to him to give him a 'welcome-home' kiss. “I didn't hear you return.”Adom kissed him back briefly, but stayed focused on the matter in hand. “Ash. What did you do to the ceiling?”“Oh?” He asked looking up even though he perfectly knew what was there. “This is mistletoe.” He said casually, as if it was just one branch and not almost half a forest covering the whole ceiling."Ash, those things must be full of bugs! Maybe even spiders!""Don't worry my Alpha." He chuckled at Adom panic
The sun was setting as Ash rested against a tree in their garden. Birds sang their evening songs and the love of his life rested with his head in Ash lap. A book in one hand and the other stroking through Adom hair, Ash couldn’t think of a moment more peaceful than the one he was in.“Penny for your thoughts, darling,” Adom asked, looking up at him with beautiful eyes wide and concerned. “You were miles away there. I think you missed my story about Queen Elzi and her complicated requests for a gown.” Ash enjoyed Adom stories about different people and custom. The few he’d met didn’t strike him to be nearly as interesting as Adom described them, but he also knew his lover would wax poetic about him, in ways he would never deserve. He smiled, “I’m sorry. You know I love your stories. Please forgive me.”&
Today was such an exciting for Ash and he couldn’t stop being nervous. He was running around in his bedroom, picking up his stuffs, putting them back down and confused all the time. Sebestian and Jenny were there in his bedroom, helping him pack, which was more like disturbing him and spending the fun ’ time. Eight months after surgery and Six months after his discharge from the hospital, he had been feeling better than he had never been. He had been in coma for 24 days and spent two months in hospital inclusive of his days in coma. The recovering days for the first two months were crappy as he was in a lot of pain but everyone he loved helped him through it. They have been very caring and so supportive that he had a full recovery quickly in six months.Adom had been the best and sweetest, staying beside him and taking care of him to the recovery. He didn’t miss his recovery days and his physical therapy before and after the discharge fro
Adom opened the car's door as soon as they've reached into the National Hospital. Jenny shouted him from behind , "Room Number 208, Second floor!" which Adom nodded to her without looking back. He scanned around the room tags at the second floor and finally found the room "R-208, A. Ash". The first thing Adom saw as soon as he flung the door with force was Sebestian's surprised face looking at him. Sebestian seemed to be watching Ash and he got up from the sofa, gave a light pat on Adom's shoulder before he backed away to make room for Adom. "He must have been waiting for you." Sebestian gave a small smile. Then, Adom saw Ash, seemed to be sleeping peacefully on the white hospital bed. Ash was hooked up to a lot of machines and IV drip. He had been breathing with an oxygen tube in his mouth which was connected to a ventilator to supply him with oxygen. The pale and thin Ash as Adom remembered now looked much paler than he had ever seen, as white as a paper
Everything is going good in Adom and Ash life but every realtionship have it's own difficult time. The rain was pouring heavily in one evening of city. Adom tared at his boyfriend, Ash. He looked sad and angry. Adom was thinking what was wrong with Ash or if he had ever done something wrong. He couldn't think of any. They were fine until yesterday. They went on shopping together. Ash laughed a lot and seemed to enjoy it. Today, Ash seemed angry since he greeted him this morning and looked distracted all time in office. He thought it was usual as Ash was mostly annoyed or pissed most of the time. Nevertheless, Adom had planned to cheer him up in the very evening where they would go back home together from office and might stop by at a restaurant with him and to the bookstore or wherever Adom wanted to go. They just finished up office and they were walking to the car park."Stay here. I will get the car. "Adom told to Ash since he didn't want
If there was one thing Ash knew about show after party, was that just about anyone can be found here and when he said anyone , he meant all manner of top students come to the show itself, it's always the after party that brought in the A-listers students. He had seen Nam and Jane earlier, he even bumped into Mark and Davinka when he was with Adom. Oh, his boyfriend. Adom was at the left corner of the crowded place talking to Nam and Jane, probably catching up since his boyfriend had really gotten close to the couple. He was glued with Adom after the show so he let him talk to other people. This elegant venue was really packed, sharp edges brand clothes everywhere. There were waiters standing against the far walls, uniforms a piercing sort of white, gloves holding bottles of champagne to refill glasses. The elegant room was tinted with pink lights, some pop music vibrating the walls, and the atmosphere itself was exquisite. He was laughing with Sam and it was so fun, both of them
White light of sunlight shone through the space between the curtains, and dappled light danced across the dusty floor. As the sun rose, the beams of light traveled across the room until they landed on Adom's face, he woke up in the morning breeze, he could hear the birds chirping, he cracked his eyes once again and slid his hand under the duvet, seeking out for his lover's warm skin. He rubbed the back of Ash neck, squeezing gently. Ash was wrapped in blankets and cutely pouted when Adom sealed his lips with a quick kiss, but he was still fast asleep, which made Adom smile like a lovesick fool that he was. Everything felt so warm, and Ash sleeping peacefully next to him made everything even better. Ash hummed and wiggled backwards, giving Adom an in to pull some of the blankets to himself. "Cute." he mumbled to himself and suddenly Ash slowly opened his eyes and let out a low laugh, his feet shuffling between Adom's ankles. "I can hear you." He muttered. "Good morning, love. Ho
It's been a almost year since Ash is in realtionship with Adom. And now he is fully aware with Adom Alpha nature. Most often than not, yes, Adomwas really possessive and Ash was completely aware of it. He wouldn't deny that he loved thatspecifictrait of his boyfriend. For some reasons, Ash really had a thing for overprotective, proprietorial and dominating Adom, not just because those things turned him on but it was also a daily reminder that Adom liked it when he was owning him. And, Ash also liked it when he was being owned by Adom.Besides,This was Adom Cole. Thesame Adomwho was handsome, overly attractive, sexy, talented, smart and got a good personality. The same man who got a lot of men and women drooling over him - the same man who owned one of the famous entertainment companies, the Cole Interprise. He was a CEO of his own company while also selling millions of magzine, and who was also planning to
From a distance laughs and a lot of talks could be heard. This group was not big but you could instantly see that they were close friends. One boy stood out of course, the stunning Ash.Finally, they had a night off and decided to go out for a few drinks with his co actors and friends now. The only one not attending was Adom. He had a few project to attend still so he would catch up with them if he would be done early.Ash was enjoying the company of his friends. Finally, some time to let loose and not having to think about the upcoming final year project before his graduation. He was a little disappointed that Adom was not here with him, but he understand because Adom is busy with his new project . He always felt save when he was around and going out with him for drinks was always fun and comforting. He could lean on him and let him do the talking mostly. He was so social and confident he really admired him. Just thinking about him made him
