Between small lapses of time, he raised the glass to his lips, slowly sipping the contents, not bothering to take his eyes off his computer. He does not know what time it is, only that he has been sitting behind the desk for about two hours receiving emails, answering these and checking that everything was fine in the administration of all areas of the company. All the work that was piling up due to being absent in the last week of the month is giving him a slight headache.
He stretched his body still sitting in the comfortable chair, feeling the tense muscles in his back ache and a couple of bones thunder. Shit, he loves this feeling.
The door of his office was flung open, revealing one of his closest friends to enter as if he were at his own home.
"You must speak to the reception first before you enter in my office Jack, after 8:00 PM. "
Adom Cole, CEO of Cole cooperation lets out a curse as he watches Jack walk in full manner, frowning slightly, showing an unfriendly expression. He even dressed casually, that's why Adom know the reason why Jack arrive in his office this time.
"What are you doing?"
"Working, it's obvious."
"We had arranged to go to a bar today, I have been waiting for an hour for you to answer my messages!" Jack exclaims, walking to the Adom desk where he slapped his palms hard on Adom table.
"I really accept your reason if you cancel our outing for something important, like you are going to spend your time with some omega, but this is unacceptable Adom."
Adom growls at Jack words, he really hate it when someone talk about his personal affairs. Specially Jack, he is always their to complain Adom about his personal issues, he always question Adom about how he is leading his life for more than five years, is he ever going to stop asking?
"Don't you have any work Jack? Beacuse I am busy."
Jack is not only Adom's best friend but he also his company chief editor of Cole cooperation several magazine. Adom knows Jack always delivered all of his work on time without any error, but still he prefers to divert the subject to something else.
"You know that all my work is done, on friday in the meeting you will receive everything in perfect order. I am sure your assistant told you Adom. "Jack expression change drastically which make Adom roll his eyes, when he see Jack giving him a flirtatious smile.
Jack stood straight in front of the desk and began to circle it slowly, earning a curious look from Adom.
"Speaking about him, how he is doing? Did he ask about me?"
Adom shoulder tensed for a second as Jack took at him with annoying smile. The smile on his face is really look annoying, so annoying that Adom wants to hit him and wipe his smile.
"My assistant don't have a time to ask about you Jack."
"'My assistant', someone is being possessive." Jack patted Adom shoulder a little roughly, pulling away with an amused smile.
"The boy is really beautiful and I can't help myself Adom, he is really adorable for this World, I want to do something. You said you're not interested, so it maybe my chance to settle down with Omega and it will also help you Adom. You know I can see love in his eyes for you Adom"
A growl escapes from Adom mouth, it's not a low one or easy to ignore, it's a loud one, a growl from his inner alpha.
"Don't say stupid things if you don't want me to kick you out of my office Jack."
"Oh, hell! Sam warned me not to bring up the Ash issue, but I didn't know you will react like this."
"What did Sam told you?" Adom questioned immediately, raising his eyebrows and pouting with his lips.
Before Jack was able to answer, his phone rang along with Adom's computer. An incoming email that was addressed to both of them. The particular e-mail is an answer they have been waiting for all day, because last minute interviews were about to be cancelled because no one can satisfy interviewers. Which is really hard in Cole cooperation.
"You're reading this?"
"Yes," Adom answered quickly, grabbing his phone from the desk as he stood up. Jack watched him carefully, watching him type on his mobile's screen and when Jack about to ask whom he calling, Adom pressed his mobile to his ear.
It was not difficult for Jack to suspect to whom his friend is calling.
