After Veronica’s outburst, she remained quiet while Steve just remained quiet because he felt like whatever he said at that moment could trigger her anger more, so he decided to stay by her side and allow her to cry it all out.

After noticing that she was a bit calm, he decided to speak to her, and so he cleared his throat before he began to talk.

“I'm so sorry for how I reacted and for every word that I said. I'm genuinely sorry. It was because I didn't know better and I jumped into conclusion without fully understanding your situation. I sincerely apologize.” He apologized and waited for her response but instead of saying anything, she only nodded in acceptance and so he started speaking again.

“You know,” he began, “I won't say that I understand exactly how you feel but I will still say what I said earlier: please don't think that you're cursed. Don't even say you are cursed. You're a beautiful young lady with a bright future ahead of you, If you'll only just see it and walk in it
