After ensuring Veronica could be trusted, Steve finally took his seat and sighed, “You’ve really been through a lot in a short period of time.”

“Uhm…I'm sorry for calling you a liar the other time. I just didn't couldn't understand. I hope I didn't hurt you and you'll find a place in your heart to forgive me? Please.” He said to her as he sincerely apologized.

“It's fine, really. I mean, I guess I would also act the same way if I found a strange unknown person in the forest too.” She said, making light the already tense atmosphere and Steve chuckled.

“Are you okay though?” He asked her with a concerned look on his face as he looked at her wounds once again.

“A little sore, but I'm fine, I guess.” She answered.

“And your shoulder? You said something about it before.” As he asked, he stretched his hand and touched her shoulder, making her scream loudly in pain and she immediately held on to her shoulder.

“Oh my, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you.” He quickly apologized
