Anna's POV

A week later…

Today marks one week after the ugly incident that led to the loss of my child. No day passes without me having thought about it despite all my efforts to forget about it.

Right now, I was pacing around the chambers with my hands across my chest. Earlier, I had sent the maids away so I could have more privacy to myself.

My mind was troubled, and speaking to Alpha Jasper was the only way I could calm down, but the issue wasn't speaking to him; rather, it was how I would phrase my words.

For a while now, I have been hearing the maids talking about the rumours which had spread outside the wall of the palace.
