Chapter 30

Alpha Jasper's POV

The silence in the room was so deafening that even if a needle fell on the floor, it would be as audible as when a glass cup crashed.

Slowly, I allowed my lips to part into a sinister smile and at once the expression on the faces of the elders changed. All I could see on their faces was fear, nothing more than that.

“Come,” I beckon Davis, who immediately exchanged eye contact with his colleagues as his throat made an up-and-down movement just like a piston.

When he finally appeared in front of me, I allowed my smile to widen as I leaned towards him.

“Are you tired of living?” I asked, still sporting my smile. He couldn't find his tongue to answer before I continued, “Ripping your heart off your chest and handing it to your fellow elders is one the easiest things for me to do.”

“Moreover, they will be glad to have a taste of your heart,” I added. Once again, his throat made that piston movement but I wasn't done with him yet.
