Marriage Alliance

" You will marry him and that is final. "

A loud voice echoed in the large hall of Saint James Residency. A shiver ran down Elina's spine along with the tears streaming down her face. Never in her life had she thought her father, who doted on her so much, the only person in the entire family who cared for her after her grandmother, was saying such a thing to her. 

" But Father, I do not want to marry him. He was supposed to be my brother-in-law, not to mention Olivia loves him very much. How can I marry a person my own sister loves very much? I can't. I still have to complete my medical studies. I can't marry right now. No. "

Somewhere she deeply cared for Elina her own way, in her scoldings, her anger, she still cared for her very much. She was very much against the choice of her career but she always knew behind the mischievous personality, Elina cared for everyone very much. Even forgetting about her own health, which was also one of the reasons she never wanted her to enter in the medical field of every other career field Elina ever chose. Timothy always wanted Elina to study business not only because she knew Elina was very sharp when it came to planning and execution, commanding everyone, instructing them; clearly she was a born leader. She also had a very selfish motive she would never disclose to anyone, not even to Olivia.

'This way she could control her health and restrict her from going away from her'

Gregore left the room after telling them to get ready for the engagement leaving Elina sobbing in her mother's arms. After more persuasion by her mother, Elina stood up to wash up. She couldn't afford to go to her 'own' engagement party looking like a zombie.
