Chapter 1: Break up

“Why did you lie to me?” The girl hugged her heart that was writhing in pain. She tried to utter the words that had been hidden in her heart for a long time. A pungent smell rose up in her throat, causing the girl to cough. Then, blood flowed from the corner of her mouth and fell onto the white dress.

"I didn't lie to you because I never loved you," the man stood in front of the girl and said cruelly. His eyes showed a cold look. The man smirked and despised the girl lying in pain on the ground, "Originally, you and I could have ended peacefully, but you dared to harm her."

"I was stupid to believe your loving words," the girl gradually lost her composure. She managed to say the last words, "I hope you will experience the pain you caused me."

The girl then glared at the man and fell to the ground. Her eyes were wide and filled with so much resentment from the man she loved. A tear fell from the corner of the girl's eye. Thus ended the life of a foolish girl.

"CUT!"

Screams rang out from the distance. The man relaxed his whole body and lowered the upper half of his body slightly. He reached out his hand to catch the girl lying on the floor. However, the girl smiled and refused this help. She automatically stood up and held her head high. Her previously hateful gaze changed and now gave everyone a sense of nobility.

The man was also not displeased with the girl's actions. He pulled his hand back and smiled, “Good acting. Keep up the good work like that.”

“Thanks for your advice,” Heulwen nodded and replied in a polite voice. She was very happy to be able to receive compliments from senior actors. This meant that she was burning with all her heart for this passion.

Heulwen bowed to everyone and went into the dressing room. She began to remove her makeup to reveal her naturally sharp face. This was the last scene of Heulwen. She had taken on the role of a girl who loved a man wholeheartedly, but he only saw her as someone else's substitute. When the woman he loved returned, he turned cold towards the girl. After finding out the situation, she was too miserable and blind to want to harm his woman. In the end, she died from being poisoned by the man she loved.

Although this was only a small supporting role, Heulwen still practiced and closely monitored the character's emotions. To others, Heulwen's role was lackluster, but this was the biggest role she had ever received.

“Heulwen, this is your salary. The director is very pleased with you,” the studio assistant entered the make-up room and walked over to where Heulwen was sitting. “The director said that if there is a suitable role in the future, he will call you first.”

“Thank you, I appreciate his support,” Heulwen nodded and gave a small smile. However, her heart was pounding because of the salary in hand.

Heulwen said goodbye to everyone and left early. On normal days, she was always there to help people. However, today was a special day. Everyone cheered and waved to Heulwen. She took a taxi to go back to her inn.

Heulwen hastily showered and dressed herself in a beautiful dress. Before long, Heulwen was sitting in the private room of a famous restaurant. She smiled and kept her eyes on the bag beside her. Heulwen looked up and looked at the watch on the wall. Then she took out her phone and started watching the latest news about the artist world.

'Selina Martha just returned this afternoon from studying abroad in France.'

This was the hottest article right now. Heulwen scrolled through the photos taken by reporters. Selina Martha was an extremely famous actress with her acting ability as well as a good personality. Selina was called 'Nymph' by her fans. When she first entered the entertainment world, Heulwen was always compared to Selina because she had a face similar to their screen 'Nymph'. This put even more pressure on Heulwen, but also a boost for herself.

Heulwen looked at the last photo and frowned. The photo shows 'Nymph' Selina getting into a car and not forgetting to wave to fans. The car looked so familiar that Heulwen had to press her face to the phone and took a closer look. She also conveniently pressed save the picture.

At this moment, the door opened, startling Heulwen, but she quickly regained her composure. She put the screen of her phone down on the table and smiled brightly at the man who had just entered.

“Sorry I'm late,” Louis sat down across from Heulwen and looked at her with warm eyes.

“It's okay, I can wait,” Heulwen shook his head and didn't mind that Louis was almost an hour late. She took the menu and placed it in front of him, “You haven't eaten yet, have you? You should order first.”

Louis today was different from normal days. He had something difficult to say and always avoided Heulwen's eyes. The menu was placed in front of him, but Louis didn't touch it. This confused Heulwen. Then, wanting to break the strange atmosphere, she grabbed the bag beside her. “I have just bought…”

"Let's break up," Louis said in a low voice and looked Heulwen straight in the eye.

This sentence made Heulwen's ears flutter. Her hand trembled slightly, “Are you joking? I'm sorry if I did something you didn't like so don't say it."

Louis still looked at Heulwen with warm eyes and a bit of self-blame. He sighed and took her hand on the table. “Heulwen, let's break up. I don't deserve you. You can find someone better.”

Heulwen suppressed the pain in her heart and took a deep breath, “Are you sure?”

Louis didn't hesitate and nodded, “Nowadays, you've also found some roles without me. I can only lead you here. I'm sorry. I paid for today's meal, so stay and enjoy. I have to go first.”

“Ok,” Heulwen slowly pulled her hand away from Louis's. She smiled slightly at him and nodded goodbye.

Louis quickly left and did not turn to look at Heulwen once. The hand under her desk was clutching the bag. Inside was a watch that she used her newly received salary to buy for him. When the door to the private room closed, new tears began to roll down Heulwen's face. She cried out in pain. She was kicked for unbelievable reasons.

After a few minutes, Heulwen regained her composure and wiped her tears. She secretly felt lucky that this room was soundproof. Heulwen pressed the button on the table to call the waiter. She ordered the most expensive dishes with a bottle of wine. The food was brought out very quickly. Heulwen bent down to eat so that she could forget the pain of being lost in love.

Louis William was an established actor. His warm beauty made the girls stand still. Heulwen entered the entertainment world with no experience. She was chosen for her beauty and temperament. Then, Heulwen's natural talent for acting surprised others even more. She was offered a small role in the musical film of a young singer. There, she met Louis playing the male lead.

Louis spoke to Heulwen first. The two became close. He also recommended her for small supporting roles. One night at this restaurant, Louis asked Heulwen to be his girlfriend. She also had feelings for him, so she didn't think about it and agreed.

Heulwen stayed with Louis for two years. Louis was extremely indulgent and kind to Heulwen. He did not want to go public for fear that she would be criticized. He had said that when she had certain achievements, the two would make this relationship public. This made Heulwen feel warm. Today was their second anniversary. And Louis said goodbye to her and heartlessly left.

Heulwen frantically swept the food on the table. This was her first time falling in love with someone. The alcohol in her body made Heulwen even more painful and crazy. She knew she couldn't force someone to stay by her side. Heulwen remembered Louis' warm eyes earlier and regained hope. She wanted to hold him again. The two of them had no problem letting Louis say breaking up.

Heulwen staggered on the road. She looked at the magnificent and crowded road in front of her. This path would lead her to her home for a long time. Heulwen looked through the dark alley on the right. This alley would lead her to her home in less than a few minutes. Heulwen let out a laugh and staggered back two steps. Then, she headed straight into the murky alley.

“There is nothing left in my life to cry and grieve,” Heulwen bumped into the wall on the right and a moment later into the wall on the left. Her mouth was still muttering meaningless words.

“Hey girl, where are you going alone? Stay and play with us." Two men blocked Heulwen's way and looked at her with lustful eyes. They didn't think a prey would automatically enter their lair like that.

Heulwen narrowed her eyes and stepped back to see the crowd in front of her. She tilted her head to look through the gap between the two. Just a few more steps and Heulwen could reach the street light at the end of the alley.

“Get out of the way,” Heulwen frowned and straightened. She tried to look scary but her eyelids were about to droop. This look of hers made the two men even more excited.

"You should not be angry. We'll make you feel good right away." The two men rub their hands together and lick their lips. They were about to touch Heulwen but saw her eyes widen and waved at someone behind them so they stopped.

Heulwen frantically waved her hand and shouted, “Hey, hey, the man in black. That's right, it’s you. I call you. Come to help me. There are two perverts here who want to mess with me.”

The two men looked behind and actually saw a man in a black suit. They snickered and didn't seem worried. If that man dared to go over here and save Heulwen, they would take him down. The two men winked at each other and put their hands on Heulwen's shoulders.

The man in the black suit frowned and was about to enter the dark alley. However, he rolled his eyes and stopped abruptly. The sight before his eyes terrified him. Heulwen was running towards him and the other two men had already fainted on the ground.

Heulwen ran up to the man in the black suit and stopped two feet away from him. She stroked her chest and gasped, “How scary! Luckily, you saved me. This is a thank you gift.”

Heulwen handed the bag to the man. The strong scent of alcohol on her made him want to step back. However, he stopped the action after remembering her martial stance earlier. Heulwen bowed once and ran off with a staggered look. She hit the street light and then she flew off and hit the street light again. The man saw this scene and pursed his lips.

“Boss, the car is here,” said a voice next to him, causing the man to look away from Heulwen. After he got into the car, the secretary looked in the rearview mirror and was surprised, "Boss, what are you holding?"

“Thank you gift for my help,” Charmaine set aside the basket and closed his eyes to rest. The secretary didn’t know what happened to the boss around the time he left. However, he did not dare to disturb Charmaine's rest period. The car kept rolling in a completely different direction from Heulwen's.
