Two: going back

It's been three weeks since Shan and i became friends. He never said anything about the royalty thing again but these days i sensed that something was bothering him.

In those three weeks Shan and i became so close that he was now sitting in my bed and I'm sitting on the floor. That's what we call shameless, people!

He now usually spend his days inside my apartment even though my apartment doesn't look like it can hold two people at the same time.

"Hey, you look troubled. Is there any problem? " I said when i saw Shan staring at my sheets for half an hour. I was also looking at him for that long but he can't even sense that i was looking at him.

He looked at me surprised but eventually smiled. "Nothing, my father just called a few days ago, he said my brother was injured in his training as a royal guard but no one was able to take care of him since my mother and sister was busy taking care of the other members of the royal family, and my father was busy as a captain of the royal guards, i was just wondering if my brother is okay by now. " He said.

Yeah that was 'nothing'.

"Then you should go back home and take care of him. " I told him.

He shook his head. "I can't. " He said.

I frowned and asked "Why? "

He shifted his gaze and couldn't utter a word. I realized why.

It was because of me. He can't go back without me or he will be punished, well that's what i think so.

" You have to go back and take care of your brother. " I said. He looked at me, clearly puzzled.

"Why? I mean, you don't want me to be here anymore? " He asked.

I shook my head.

"It's not that, but being with your family is more important. I'm sure you miss them, you talked about them non-stop that now i even know how great they are. Just go back to them. Think of this as an order. " I said.

His eyes lit up. "Does this mean you acknowledge your status as a prince now? " He excitedly asked me.

"Don't get your hopes up. I'm telling you to trick them if ever they asked why you went back alone. Tell them i ordered you to go back. " I said.

He sighed, clearly dismayed.

"Fine, but i got to have something from you to prove that i really did your order. "

"Something like what? "

"Like necklace or ring or whatever that was valueable to you or what you often use. "

I arched my eyebrow "are you trying to rob me? "

He scoffed " Oh Vernon, I've been with you for three weeks and i have not seen anything that i can rob here. "

"What a great way to tell me I'm poor. " I sarcastically said.

"Thankyou " he snickered.

I stood up and went to my shelf, i took something from it and tossed it to Shan.

"A helmet. Really? " He said, not that enthusiastic.

"What? That's the most valuable thing i had. You know how i love to ride motorcycles. Or do you prefer to bring my motorbike instead?" i said.

"Silly, who would want to bring something that big? Well, then what are you gonna use if I'm bringing your helmet? "

"I have other helmets here, be thankful that i gave you my most treasured one. " I teased.

He rolled his eyes at me. Cute.

"How about you? You don't have something to give me before you go home? " I pouted. He looked at me and smiled while nodding his head.

"What is it? Give it to me" i said as i hand out my palm.

He laughed and stood up, he walked closer towards me as i watched what he was doing, until he reached me. He looked into my eyes then leaned in.

My eyes widened when i felt his lips on mine. My whole body felt chilled, it feels like there were something in my stomach, tingling.

His eyes were closed as he kissed me. It was like that for a whole 30 seconds until he stopped.

"That's all i can give you in return. That was the most valuable thing for me. I'll take care of this and give it back to you when we see each other again. " He said after he broke our kiss.

I just stared at him.

" Vernon " He called my name as he waved his hand in front of my face. He frowned.

"Vernon, hey! " He snapped his fingers infront of me.

I heaved my breath before i grabbed him and push him into the shelf, we switched places. I was now the one locking him in between my arms. I looked at him like he's my prey.

Oh..yes, he is my prey.

For the last three weeks, i now realized what it is that i was feeling towards him. The burning sensation inside of me every time he's with me, whether he's beside me or i was just looking at him. How my heart beats fast whenever he looked at me with those eyes and his smile that always warms up my heart.

"Vernon! What are you doing? " He asked, he was shocked by my actions.

I didn't utter a single word and leaned to kiss him. I moved my lips and smiled when he copied what i was doing after a few seconds of being stunned.

He dropped my helmet and snaked his arms around my neck. My hands traveled to his waist than caressed his back. I always knew his skin was soft, but i didn't know it was so soft and silky.

A soft moan came out of his mouth. That's when i stopped.

His cheeks were red when i looked at him, we were both breathing heavily.

" Should i just stay? " He asked. I chuckled.

"No, go back home. "

He whined and that made me laugh. I kissed him again. No words needed, we both felt within our kiss what we felt for each other, even though we only knew each other for a month. Sadly he has to go back.

"Shan? " I called his name between our kisses

"Hmm?" He answered, his face was flushed and we were starting to sweat, our situation looks more heated than earlier.

"Will you do me the honor of being able to call you mine? "

I heard his chuckle "gladly, now come here and kiss me again. " He demanded and pulled me closer.

That day, him and i united. We even broke my bed but we just laughed at it. The next day i sent him to the airport. We rode my motorcycle, he was wearing the helmet that i gave him. I told him to keep it, he hesitated at first but eventually gave in.

We gave each other one last hug then i secretly gave him a kiss, i got hit on my arm after that.

"You know where we are! " He hissed.

"I know, and I don't care. " I said cooly and gave him a smirk. He just shake his head and sighed.

His flight was announced so he said goodbye to me, all i can do is nod. I watched how he walked away and disappeared within the sea of people walking around the airport.

With a heavy heart, i turned my back and went back to my motorcycle. I've put my helmet on and was ready to go when i heard a voice calling my name.

" Vernon Wang! "

I took my helmet off and looked towards the entrance of the airport. There i saw Shan running towards me.

I got off my motorcycle and watched how he ran towards where i am.

He gave me a tight hug when he finally reached me and I felt like my heart was going to burst with happiness.

"I promise.. I'll come back. I won't force you to come with me then. I'll stay with you and go where you want to go. " He said that warmed my heart.

"Okay, I'll wait for you Shan. I love you. " I said then i held his face in my hands and gave him a kiss on his forehead.

"I love you too Vernon. " He said. This time he just waved at me and yelled that he'll come back for me while he was walking away. I waved at him too and happily went back home when he disappeared again.
