Frustration gripped through Edwin, as soon as he saw Ace. He wanted to talk to Kate peacefully, but the entry of Ace from nowhere, made him irritated.
“Ace, please leave.” Edwin said glaring at him.
Ace dragged the chair that was beside him and sat on it asking “Oh Edwin, are we disturbing your privacy?”
Jacob sat beside Kate, smiling at her genuinely. He saw Kate in the inter college competition, in which they lost. From then, he had been roaming around her, asking her out but she didn’t accept him as she had been loving Edwin. Jacob's crush on Kate was a secret, no one knew except Ace. Jacob didn't tell anyone as he didn't want his teammates to misunderstand him and Kate also didn't tell anyone as she didn't want to create more problems.
Kate held her forehead with her palms when she noticed Jacob staring at her. He kept looking at her without even blinking that was irritating her more.
Edwin asked looking at Ace “Why won’t you leave me alone?”
Ace made a pouty face ruffling Edwin’s hair sarcastically. He said “Because you are so adorable.” He then started to pinch Edwin’s cheeks saying “Your dirty brown eyes, ugly irritating face is so adorable.”
“Ace, stop it.” Shouting that Edwin pushed Ace’s hand from his cheek.
Ace looked at him angrily and asked in his low dangerous tone “Or what?”
Kate slammed the table with her palms shouting “Guys please.”
Ace and Edwin’s gaze fell on Kate, who had been staring at them seriously. She shouted, looking at Ace “Ace, we didn’t do anything to you. Just leave us alone.”
Ace's eyes turned red with her shout. He never liked anyone talking back to him in a rough tone. He moved his chair closer to Kate saying “Here shouts, the cute little girl. You really have the guts to talk back to me, Katie.” He started to stroke her cheek with his finger to scare her.
Kate moved a little back scared when he started to move closer to her. She said “I’m Kate. Not Katie.”
“Oh whoever the fuck you are.” He pointed his finger at her speaking “Remember, I hate when someone shouts at me. I hope you won’t repeat the same mistake again.”
Edwin pulled Ace’s hand back shouting “Leave her.”
Ace then looked at Edwin saying “Yeah, wait I’ll come to you.”
He then looked at Kate again scaring her with his looks. Jacob noticed Kate’s inconvenience so he said looking at Ace “Ace, let’s leave.”
Before Ace spoke anything, Jacob stood from there and dragged Ace along with him. They then sat at the other table staring at Edwin.
Edwin and Kate felt relaxed when they left them. They decided to leave and waited for the bill to pay.
Ace kept staring at Jacob with his raised eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest.
“What?” Jacob asked when he noticed Ace giving him the questioning look.
“You dragged me because I was scaring her. Am I right?”
Jacob rolled his eyes with his question but immediately his lips curved into a small smile looking at Kate. He replied “Yes. She was not feeling comfortable, Ace.”
“Are you sure about this, Jacob? She is our enemy, man. What if any of our teammates get to know this?” Ace said.
“Enmity is on her college and on few bastards. Not on her, Ace. Besides, no one knows this, right? Except you.”
Ace shook his head annoyed with Jacob’s sentence. He then said “Whatever you say. I hate everyone, who is related to Edwin.”
“I too hate him, Ace. I loathe him. Kate is always with him and their closeness makes me furious. I wish I could break his bones.” Jacob said spitting venom in his words.
Ace saw Edwin for a moment then an evil smile appeared on his lips. He stood from there and walked to the counter while staring at Edwin. He took the ice cream cup then walked to return to his place. When he crossed Edwin’s table, he deliberately spilled his ice cream on Edwin’s head. As soon as Ace did that, Jacob started to laugh looking at Edwin.
“What the-” Edwin gritted his teeth standing from there.
Ace raised his hands in surrender saying “Oops, It’s a mistake.”
Edwin pushed Ace shouting “It’s not a mistake. You did it deliberately.”
Everyone began looking at him with Edwin’s shouts. He pushed Ace angrily shouting “Confess it. You did it deliberately.”
Kate tried to stop Edwin but he was raging with Ace’s behaviour. Ace then pushed Edwin back and spat the remaining ice cream on Edwin’s face shouting “Yes. What can you do?”
Edwin and Ace started to fight holding each other’s collars. Their fight started to intensify, but the staff of the parlour stopped them shouting at them to leave.
Pushing Edwin to the floor angrily, Ace left the place along with Jacob. Edwin felt humiliated after noticing everyone staring and laughing at him. He stood straight clenching his fist. Then he left the place after cleaning himself.
He couldn’t forget that happened in the ice cream parlour. Recalling it, Edwin’s rage started to grow high. He muttered “Bloody immature bastard.”
He called Liam to share his anger but he didn’t lift his call. Angrily, he pushed the bedside table and it fell down making a loud thud. He then called Ralph and kept shouting, pouring all his anger in his words.
“We shouldn’t leave them, Ed. They should pay for the things they did.” Said Ralph.
They talked for few minutes in which they spent most of the time cursing Ace and his gang. Then he cut the call and dozed off while thinking about Ace.

Edwin and Ralph were in the store looking at the watches to buy. Edwin thought to take rest, spend the entire day at his house, in the weekend but Ralph spoiled his plan by taking him out and had been making him roam the city along with him.
Irritated with Ralph, Edwin sat on the chair away from the counters, where few of the staff members were chit chatting, while Ralph kept looking at the things to buy. The sudden entry of Ace and Jacob made him shock and more irritated. He muttered “Fuck my life.”
Ace was angry with Jacob as he brought him to the store though they had the option of getting the things at their place, without moving their feet. He sat on the couch, scrolling his cell phone while Jacob was involved in buying the things.
Edwin walked to Ralph, without getting noticed by Ace, as he didn’t want any drama to happen there. He told Ralph about Ace and he asked him to leave the place soon.
“Ed, it’s not his place so that we should leave with his entry. This is a public place. You are such a scared cat.” Ralph said gritting his teeth.
“I’m not scared, Ralph. I’m not in the mood for any dramas now.” Edwin yelled at Ralph. “Fine then. Take your time.”
Edwin then kept quiet and sat on the chair, where he previously sat. He noticed no Ace in his surroundings that relaxed him a bit. But it was vanished when Ace spoke strolling to him “Edwin, what a surprise.”
Ignoring him, Edwin continued scrolling his cell phone. Ace sat beside him and took the cell phone from Edwin’s hands.
“Chatting with girlfriend?” Ace asked laughing.
“Give me my phone.” Edwin tried to take it from Ace's hands but Ace kept irritating Edwin.
Then Ace left throwing Edwin’s cell phone to him, after hearing Jacob calling his name. Edwin clenched his fist and decided that it’s his payback time.
Edwin walked to Ralph telling him the plan that would make Ace gets insulted. Ralph agreed to him chuckling. He asked “What about the cameras? What if they check?”
“Only the camera near the entrance is working. I heard it from the staff. They are still waiting for the person, who can fix it. It’s our time, bro.” Edwin laughed.
“Then proceed.” Ralph smiled.
While Ace was walking, Edwin bumped into him deliberately and dropped a watch in the pocket of Ace’s jacket. Ace pushed Edwin shouting “Need an eye treatment or what? Can’t you see the person coming in front of you? You piece of shit.”
Edwin raised his hands saying “Sorry. My mistake.”
“Of course, it is.” Shouting at him, Ace and Jacob started to walk away from him. Edwin’s lips curved into a smile while they were leaving. When Ace reached the exit, the security alarm triggered that made everyone run towards Ace.
The security started to check him that made him angry and he started to fight with them shouting “What the fuck! I’ve nothing. Do you know, who I am? I’m the son of Arthur Roberts.”
Edwin and Ralph kept laughing, looking at his shouts. The manager reached the entrance and was petrified after seeing the security quarrelling with Ace.
The manager stopped their quarrel, shouting at the security. He then said looking at Ace “I’m so sorry, sir. They don’t know about you.”
One of the guards said handing the watch to the manager “Sir, we found this in his pocket.”
Ace held the guard’s collar shouting “I fucking don’t know how it is in my pocket.”
The manager stopped him saying “Sir, please leave. I’ll take care of his matter.”
Ace pointed his finger at the guards shouting “I’m not going to leave you.” Then he took out the bundle of cash from his other pocket and threw it on their faces yelling “This bundle is more than this stupid watch's price. This is my range, you bastards.”
“Sir, we are so sorry. Please forgive us.” The manager started to plead him. Then Jacob dragged Ace away from there.
Edwin and Ralph came out of the store and began talking about Ace, while laughing remembering the incident that happened.
Ralph said “It was really fun, Ed. But what if it turned serious to the extent of calling cops?”
“How can you even think that? You know his influence, right? Nothing happens to him.” Edwin rolled his eyes.
“Yeah. Imagine if someone other than Ace, was in that place. The manager might have called cops and resulted in a big scene. But Ace got out of the situation too easily.”
Edwin hummed in response and said “He got insulted in a public place. That’s all I wanted. The plan worked.”
When Ralph was about to say something, they heard Ace’s voice that left them startled.
“So, this is your fucking idea.”
Edwin and Ralph were rooted to their places when they heard Ace’s voice. Ace stood in front of Edwin, gritting his teeth.
“You bumped into me deliberately so that you can leave that fucking thing inside my pocket.” Ace shouted giving a deadly glare to Edwin.
Edwin too stared at him giving him the same angry look and he said “Yes. Not only you can do the things that troubles people... we also can do that.”
Ace held Edwin’s throat in a tight grip, shouting “You are going to pay a heavy price for this.”
Edwin pushed him back shouting “I’m not scared with your stupid threats. Do whatever you can.” Then Edwin and Ralph left the place ignoring their threats.
Edwin set his hair one final time before stepping out of his house. He stood outside locking the doors and called Ralph. Before the call connected to Ralph, Ralph was in front of Edwin in his car. Smiling at Ralph, Edwin cut the call and got in the car. “So, how did it go? Leila and you... last night...” Edwin asked giving a playful smirk. “Don’t expect much. It was a dinner date, that’s it. But I’m happy that I spent sometime with her.” Ralph said with a bright smile on his face. “You really love her, don’t you?” Edwin scoffed. Ralph kept quiet while his face proved that he was blushing. Edwin’s eyes widened looking at his blushed cheeks. Edwin shouted “Bro, what am I seeing? You are blushing.” He laughed out loud. “What’s the surprise, Ed? Don’t boys blush?” Ralph asked while focusing on the road. Edwin continued laughing as he kept teasing Ralph. Then they reached one of their friends house, where a casual party was th
Edwin couldn’t forget the words the man said last night. He tried to ignore them, but he was unable to get those words off his head. He never saw Ace helping or talking to someone politely. Ace, being good, was unimaginable to him. While he was getting ready for his college, his cell phone buzzed. Seeing Liam’s name on the screen, joy overtook him. “Hey Li.” Edwin spoke, smiling. “Hey Ed. Done with your last night hangover?” Liam asked, laughing. “Not totally, but I have to attend classes.” Then Liam apologized to him for not being with him, last night. They both talked for a few minutes, and Edwin left for his college. After a few hours of boring classes, he reached his basketball court to practice. He told Ralph that happened last night, and for Ralph too it felt shocking and unbelievable. That’s how much, Ace showed his evil side to them. Following two hours of practicing, everyone left to their houses. Taking rest for an ho
Ace was at his house, lying near the swimming pool, with his hand inside the water, thinking about the fight he had with Edwin few hours back. He was still angry with Edwin, and he couldn’t get him off his head. No one in his life irritated Ace, like Edwin. When Ace was in his thoughts, Jacob walked to him, shouting his name. Though his shouts were audible enough, Ace didn’t respond to Jacob, as he was in his own thoughts. Jacob gritted his teeth, seeing Ace, and he pushed him into the swimming pool, angrily. “Bloody hell!” Ace shouted, while coming out from the water. “Jacob? What are you doing here? Damn, in a few hours, it’s morning, man.” “What the fuck did you do, Ace? Have you lost your mind?” Jacob shouted. Ace asked, wiping the water from his body with a towel, “Me? What are you talking about?” Jacob pushed Ace back, shouting, “You bloody attacked Edwin.” “So? Don’t say you feel bad for him.” Jacob rolled his eyes with
Edwin and Ralph kept roaming the city to buy gifts for Kate as it’s her birthday. After spending few hours in roaming the city, selecting the items, they ended up buying chocolates and few accessories that she loved. Exhausted, they both reached Edwin’s house and fell on the bed. Edwin stretched his arms to relax his muscles, whereas Ralph was on the bed like a dead man. “It’s already evening. I doubt I’m not able to attend the party.” Edwin chuckled. Ralph replied nothing though he heard Edwin as he was too lazy to even open his mouth. Edwin turned to his side, asking, “You alive?” Ralph made a sound, proving him that he was alive. Edwin started to laugh with his actions, then rested for few minutes. Edwin’s slumber was interrupted with the buzzing sound of his cell phone. He sat straight, taking his phone that was on the table, beside his bed. Seeing Liam’s name on the screen, his lazy body got alerted. He noticed Ralph still sleepin
Edwin couldn’t forget the night of Kate’s birthday. He didn’t understand from where did he get the courage to call Ace, a loser. It’s been a week since it happened, yet he wasn’t able to forget it. Deep down, he had been cursing himself for calling him as a loser. Edwin was getting ready to go to his college, while talking to Liam on the phone. They had been talking to plan their next meet, and after a few minutes, Edwin cut the call. When he was about to leave the house, he got a call from his father that made him smile. He spoke “Hey dad.” “Ed... Edwin...” His father stammered. Edwin frightened hearing his tone, so he asked, “Dad, are you okay? You don’t sound normal.” Edwin heard his father’s cry on the phone, that scared him. He started to sweat in fear. He asked “Dad, dad calm down. What happened?” His father said, “Your mom got into an accident. Her condition is so critical. We are in the city.” “What?” Edwin shoute
With a broken heart, Edwin started to walk away. He didn’t understand what to do next. All his hope, vanished. He started to frighten for his mother, and sweat started to trickle down his brow. The tears in his eyes weren’t stopping from rolling down, pondering his mother’s condition. He decided to ask help from Liam, and his friends, so he took out his cell phone from his pocket. He understood they were the only people, who could help him. When he was about to call Ralph, the cell phone was taken from his hands by Ace. Looking at him angrily, Edwin shouted “Give me my phone.” “Do you know how ugly you look? The ugliness increases with your anger.” Ace laughed. “I said, give me my phone.” Edwin yelled and took his cell phone from Ace's hands. Edwin started to walk away, but his walk was interrupted by Ace. Ace stood in front of him, asking, “Going to ask help from some others? Trust me, I won’t let it happen.” He then laughed out loud.
Ace and Jacob were in a restaurant, waiting for their order to arrive, impatiently. Jacob was too hungry, and he was really annoyed with all the waiting. “I swear I’m going to burn this place down if they won’t give us what we ordered, within five minutes.” Jacob said with an irritated face. “Do it after I step out of this place.” Ace spoke, laughing. “This isn’t a joke. Damn, they are making us wait for too long, Ace. Is this how they bloody treat us?” “Calm down. You, don’t get irritated and don’t make me irritated.” Ace rolled his eyes. When Jacob was about to say something, the server brought a tray of food items that they ordered, and put it on the table, apologizing to them. “Sorry sir, it got a bit late.” “You saved this restaurant.” Jacob rolled his eyes. The server didn’t understand him, but he didn’t dare to ask him. He served the food, and then left from there. Jacob started to eat like he had been starved for years.
Edwin couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The person, whom they all loathed, was kissing Kate, and the most surprising thing to him was Kate kissing him back. Jacob held Kate’s face in between his palms, speaking something that wasn’t audible to Edwin. Anger gripped through him, watching them in that way but he controlled his emotions, stepping forward. Kate and Jacob turned to Edwin’s direction when they heard footsteps approaching them. A gasp escaped Kate’s mouth seeing Edwin and she pushed Jacob away creating space between them. Kate started to fidget while Jacob kept looking at Edwin with the usual irritated expression. “Kate?” Edwin narrowed his eyebrows standing in front of her. “E-Edwin.” She stammered. “What’s happening here?” He asked Kate and looked at Jacob, furiously. Jacob stepped front, speaking “I guess you saw us. There’s no need for an explanation.” “I didn’t ask you.” Edwin gritted his teeth holding Jacob’s co
Love has no boundaries. It neither cares about the religion nor about the sexuality. It happens to anyone at anytime. It can be between a girl and a boy or a girl and a girl or a boy and a boy. No matter what the sexuality is, love is the same. Love is clearly not based on sexuality. **** Like the same, love happened between two rivals. Between two guys, who always fought with eachother. The two young souls, who were so broken from inside, met eachother to fix the broken parts, to fight against the society and to fight for what they truly deserved. After Ace’s confession, they both had to face many problems. They faced insults, humiliations and bullying, which Ace afraid the most, but they stood strong. Ralph and Freddie never opposed them but they felt furious as they got to knew about their relationship, lately. But after few kicks and punches, everything went normal. Arthur raged at his son for what he had done and again tried to brainwash
Edwin was on the terrace, having his drink, looking at the sky and gazing at the stars. The talk with Ralph that he had was not leaving his mind. A few minutes back, he called Ralph to wish him the luck as the next morning was the competition. The talk lead to their graduation and then their future that scared Edwin. In just a few days, Edwin and Ace were going to graduate and if they wouldn’t talk and solve their problems before their graduation, then it might increase their distance so much as there were chances of Ace leaving to foreign. “Ace! I don’t want to lose you.” Edwin mumbled. He then continued drinking, trying to stay calm yet his mind was as chaotic as always. He looked at his cell phone for the hundredth time, feeling like calling Ace. Finally, he held his cell phone with his little shivering hands. He wanted to talk and solve everything but he didn’t understand where to start. He decided to talk to him but his mind was opposing his decision. He then decided to at least
Edwin couldn’t focus on the work he was doing as he kept thinking about the competition, the academy and his team. In the morning, North Hill students left to the academy that reminded him of the days when he used to get excited to go to the academy. He rested his elbows on the computer desk and rubbed his face with his palms, letting out a sigh. The memories of him being with his friends, playing in the basketball court, the academy and all other things kept hitting his head, making him unable to focus on anything.Along with that, last night moment was still displaying in front of his eyes. Before Ace’s visit, he kept thinking about him and was dying to see him. Like a blessing Ace arrived. Though he wanted to hug him, kiss him and wish him the luck for the competition, he stood still as he didn’t want Ace to know he was thinking about him.“Oh God!” he mumbled, holding his head. “Focus Ed, focus.” He muttered to get c
Ace was beyond angry not just with Edwin but with everything and everyone. Edwin was not even giving an eye contact with him that was shattering him. He kept trying to talk to him, convince him but Edwin’s ignorance was making him broken. He never felt so much about anything or anyone like he was feeling for Edwin. He kept trying to make everything normal, sending gifts, acting so gentle to win him back but little did he knew those were not the things Edwin wanted, he just wanted Ace to support him and be with him no matter what the situation was.As for Ace, he couldn’t clearly understand what else he had to do to win his heart again. The angry look on Edwin’s face whenever they met unknowingly was making him go crazy. Apart from that, the thought of Edwin had moved on was sending chills across his spine. He didn’t want Edwin to forget him. He wanted him in his life, all his life.“I don’t understand what to do, Jacob.”
Ace thought Edwin’s anger would fade away with days. He thought Edwin would talk to him again but nothing happened like he assumed, instead their relationship was totally falling apart. Seeing the only person, whom he loved from his depth of the heart, hating him, Ace couldn’t keep himself calm. It was hurting him too much. The mental stress that he was carrying was so much that he felt he would go mad someday.Though he knew what he told Edwin or what he decided to do was wrong, he couldn’t help it. He saw no other option before him. All the time Edwin’s thoughts were consuming in his head and he was not even concentrating on his game, the last game, which was coming so near. Jacob tried to patch them up but he failed in convincing Edwin. On the other hand, Edwin was feeling the same as Ace. He was feeling restless. He wanted to see Ace, talk to him, touch him but whatever Ace said never left him and it kept reminding him how selfish Ace was an
Ace held his head with his palms, falling onto his knees. Seeing Edwin walking away, he was shattered. He felt he was not just walking out from the house but from his life. He didn’t mean to talk like that, he wanted to convince him but the frustration he had been carrying within himself got the best out of it and the choice of his words made the situation worse. He had been keeping himself away from Edwin only to stay near him in the future but he couldn’t assume the things that would happen with his decision.Immediately, he ran out calling Edwin’s name to stop him but he was not much lucky. By the time he walked out, Edwin already left from there. Ace walked out hoping to see him on the street and he walked on the streets looking at the surroundings. When he reached the main road, as he wished Edwin was walking on the street but before he reached him Edwin took the passenger bus that was stopped near the signal and left from there.“Ed
Edwin kept checking his cell phone, waiting for Ace's reply. He was not even concentrating on his work as he kept thinking about Ace all the time. When he heard the notification sound, he got excited to see the reply but after seeing it, his heart shrank.Ace: Ed, so sorry. I am going out with Jacob. I will meet you later.Edwin just stared at the message swallowing down his sadness. He badly wanted to meet Ace and share everything that he had been doing at the office with him but Ace seemed he was not at all interested in it. It reminded him of Liam, and the days when he used to die to meet Liam but he kept turning down his ideas.Without giving any reply, Edwin turned off his phone to focus on his laptop. Although he was not at all interested to concentrate on his work, he couldn’t risk getting thrown out from there. After a few hours of his work, he reached his home. His mind was clouded with many thoughts and his already overthinking state became more.
The next day Edwin’s parents began to leave. His father didn’t talk to him since last night that hurt Edwin. Even though he kept trying to talk, his father was ignoring him and that ignorance shattered him. He could understand his father was too much angry on him but he couldn’t see his father ignoring him. While his father was in his bedroom packing his bag, Edwin entered in. His father gave him a look and continued his work ignoring him. “Won’t you talk to me?” Edwin asked looking at his father. “What’s there to talk?” his father replied, angrily. “Nothing?” Edwin’s eyes welled up with tears. “If you are angry then hit me, dad. But please don’t ignore me.” “What can I do, Ed?” His father shouted. “Do you know what you are doing? Do you really understand?” he scoffed. “A homo? Really?” Edwin bent his head down swallowing down his emotions. His father continued “How can you even say that? Don’t you know the things that you will face once everyone knows it?” Edwin slightly nodde
“We are so happy to see you after a long time.” Edwin’s mother spoke welcoming Kate and Ralph. “We are equally happy, aunt. It’s so good to see you.” Kate replied hugging her. Ralph shook his hand with Edwin’s father, greeting him. They all stepped inside the house and began conversing, casually. “Ed, invite your friend, Ace too. Let’s have dinner together.” Edwin’s father announced that surprised Ralph and Kate, a little. “You know Ace?” Ralph questioned and Edwin pressed his lips together but he didn’t try to convince him or divert the topic. He let Ralph and Kate to know everything. While his father kept saying things about Edwin and Ace, how they both used to visit the town, Ralph and Kate, stunned. For Kate, the doubt of Edwin in relationship with Ace multiplied, but she didn’t dare to ask Edwin although she wanted to know what was going on between them. While they kept talking, Ace and Jacob entered in. Seeing Jacob, Kate’s smile widened just as Edwin’s face brightened when
