Seeing Ace in front of him, Edwin’s anger multiplied. Ace was a few inches taller than Edwin, probably 6'2. He was better than Edwin in every aspect. Taller than Edwin, handsome, rich and a good player with excellent looks which attracted anyone.

Ace caught Edwin’s hand before it reached his friend’s face. He looked at Edwin with his intense eyes, gleaming the hatred in them as if Edwin had been his enemy for ages. Though it was just one win, Ace couldn’t forget it and couldn’t forget the person, who was the reason for Silver High's defeat.

“From where did you get the courage to raise your filthy hand on my buddy?” Ace said in his dangerous voice.

Edwin pushed him back, giving the similar stare. He shouted “Here comes the rich brat to protect his kittens.”

Ace put his palms in his pockets, giving an evil grin. He stepped closer to Edwin, saying “I guess you forgot the things we did to you. Don’t you remember what happens when someone messes with us?”

“Do you seriously think I’ve no work other than this crap? It’s you guys, who started it. Now leave. I’ve to go.” Edwin shouted. Then he walked to Ralph and tried to go away from there, but before they took another step, Ace pushed them both from behind that made them fall on the ground.

Furiously, Edwin turned back to see Ace smirking at them. Edwin wasn’t able to control his anger any more, and he punched Ace on his face. The next moment, Ace pushed Edwin to the wall, holding his collar.

Ace shouted before hitting Edwin, “How dare you to hit me? You are dead now.” Shouting that, he started to punch Edwin on his face. Edwin tried to hit him, but he failed miserably before him. Ralph was also getting beaten by Ace's friends. There was hardly anyone on the road to stop them.

They stopped their attack after few minutes, and started to leave the place. Before Ace left, he showed Edwin his middle finger, shouting “Bloody bastards.”

Edwin sensed blood oozing out from his nose and his head started to spin. Ralph helped him in standing straight while he kept making low grunts.

“Told you to not take the shortcut. No single person is here in the street to stop them.” Edwin said while trying to adjust his jaw with his hands.

“I guess I won’t be taking any shortcuts hereafter.” Ralph said, rolling his eyes. “We shouldn’t leave them. They have to pay for this, Edwin.”

“Really bro? First, we have to fix the damages done to your bike and to us, then we'll plan something.”

Ralph shook his head angrily letting out a sigh. Then they drove off and reached Edwin’s house. They treated the wounds themselves as there were no big wounds that needed to go for medical treatment.

After staying at Edwin’s house for a few minutes, Ralph left. Before he left, Edwin asked him to let him know if he got to know anything about Kate.

Then Edwin got ready for his part-time job and started to walk to reach the shop. As it was located not many miles away from his house, he always chose to walk. Following few minutes of walk, he reached the shop and began working.

With a fake smile on his face, he kept doing work. Who would probably want to work after a hectic day at college? But like others, he was not born with a silver spoon. His parents struggled a lot to bear his expenses, and he didn’t want to trouble them any more.

After two hours of work, he started to his house, but a call from Liam stopped him in his tracks. He noticed his surroundings to see anyone familiar to him but to his luck no one was there that provided him the freedom to talk to his love endlessly without any fear.

“Hey Li!” Edwin spoke with a bright smile on his face.

“What’s up, handsome?” Liam spoke, that made Edwin smile a little more.

“Nothing. Going home. What about you?”

“What else? The routine. That Kate thing, is it sorted?”

“Don't worry. I'll take care about that.”

“I know you will. Want to see you.”

Just the sentence was enough for Edwin to jump in excitement. Whenever Liam wanted to see Edwin, he never objected, as they met each other rarely.

“What did I do to become this lucky?” Edwin chuckled and then asked, “The same place?”

“Yeah. I will be waiting for you.”

Edwin cut the call and took the opposite direction. His tiredness was nothing when compared to his love on Liam.

They had a secret place, where they always met. As it was located in the outskirts, there was no chance for anyone to see them. Edwin reached there and waited for Liam excitedly. He set his hair, adjusted his shirt sleeves and kept waiting for Liam.

As soon as Edwin’s gaze fell on the person, who was of his height with broad shoulders, brown eyes same as his, looking manly in the black shirt, his excitement went high. They both hugged each other and remained in the same position for a few minutes. Seeing each other after two weeks, they couldn’t control their excitement. That’s rare, they met.

Edwin pulled him out of his embrace and cupped his cheeks saying “Li, you have no idea how happy I am.”

“Even me too.” Liam said smiling. He then circled his hands over Edwin’s neck and pulled him close to him. In the next moment, he landed his lips on Edwin’s, kissing him deeply. His kiss always felt magical to Edwin. It always felt new and passionate.

With the same passion, Edwin kissed him back, pulling him close to him. After a minute, Liam broke the kiss and held Edwin’s face in his hands, saying, “I missed this.”

Edwin nodded his head saying “I missed you.”

Liam’s gaze fell on the scar on Edwin’s forehead and the Band-Aid on his hand, which were the result of Ace's anger.

Liam gently stroked Edwin’s forehead, asking “What happened?”

“Just... a stupid accident.” Edwin rolled his eyes.

“Accident?” Liam narrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms, looking at Edwin. “Tell me, what exactly happened?”

Edwin let out a sigh with his doubt and said, “The same drama. Ace happened.”

Liam shook his head in annoyance. He stomped his foot shouting “Again? Why won’t he leave you alone? That son of a...”

“Li.” Edwin put his palm on Liam’s shoulder, stopping him from uttering furthermore. Edwin smiled at him saying “Leave it. It’s our moment. Don’t talk about him. I have had enough of Ace, today.”

“Ed, I think you should file a complaint against him.”

Edwin let out a nervous chuckle with his sentence. He replied, “Do you know who he is? Ace Roberts. Son of Arthur Roberts. The heir of fucking Roberts enterprises. People like us can’t do anything. Even my friends, who are enough powerful, can do nothing.”

Liam became silent, hearing Edwin. Liam seemed a little disturbed, so Edwin kissed him on his cheek to get back his attention.

Liam smiled with Edwin’s action and kissed him on his lips again. He started to deepen his kiss as he pushed Edwin to the wall without breaking the kiss. His hands then began to travel inside Edwin’s shirt as an act of saying he wanted more.

Edwin smiled with Liam’s actions then broke the kiss, saying “At my home.”

They then reached Edwin’s home and Liam started to kiss Edwin again, pouring all his love in it. He then began to unbutton Edwin’s shirt, saying “Can’t wait any more.”

Edwin laughed listening to him then they spent the night memorable as always.
