Alex POV;

“Oh, Moon Goddess!” The old man exclaimed, his trembling hands checking the pulse of one of the infected children. His face was pale with worry.

Beside him, Exalia moved quickly, her steps deliberate but heavy with exhaustion. Even after giving her blood—the one thing that should have saved them—it hadn’t worked. The kids were getting worse, and so was she.

“Kitten, it’s time for you to stop. You need to sleep,” I said firmly, my voice gentle but insistent. “Nothing is working, and you’re overdoing it.”

She didn’t even glance at me. Her focus was entirely on the old man and the children, her hands trembling as she checked the kids’ temperature and pulse.

“Exalia!” I barked, sharper this time, frustration spilling into my voice. She froze mid-step, her back straightening before she turned to face me.

Her eyes were fierce, her exhaustion and desperation making her voice crack. “Are you heartless?” she snapped. “I know this disease is infectious, Alex, but that doesn’t mean I c

Alex POV.A week has passed, and this strange illness that has befallen us hasn't stopped. We found a way to hold it back by keeping strict boundaries. The sick ones were taken to a refuge where they had to be kept isolated. However, Exalia and the old man left the pack in search of something that could hold the sickness off.I sat in my office, my face not a pleasing sight to behold.“Alpha,” my Beta said, and I sighed, turning my attention to him.“It’s been two days since Miss Exalia left, and there has been no communication—nothing! The infected numbers are increasing. Yesterday, 50 more kids got infected!” he reported, and I growled. Not from anger, but from a weakness I never knew I had.I slammed the pen down on my desk, frustration boiling in my chest. The reports weren’t adding up, and no matter how much I tried to focus, my mind kept drifting back to the chaos outside these walls. The pack was falling apart, and I had no answers.“Moon Goddess, I can’t take this anymore!” I

Exalia; I stood there, unsure of what to say as the old man’s words echoed in the quiet room. “Well, it seems that there’s no cure after all,” he muttered, his tone heavy with defeat. I could feel the weight of his disappointment in the air, like a suffocating fog. Alex, standing beside me, let out a deep sigh, his gaze distant and unreadable. We had returned just a few days ago, but the sight before us was something I couldn’t have imagined in my worst nightmares. The village was a scene of utter devastation. The air was thick with grief. Mothers, young girls, and old men were crying, their voices breaking as they begged for help. The illness was sweeping through the village like wildfire, claiming anyone it touched, and the sight of it made my heart ache. Was this what the Moon Goddess meant by testing me? I closed my eyes briefly, trying to steady my thoughts, but they were scattered. There had to be something I could do

Exalia's POV “Where am I?” I mumbled softly to myself, my eyes darting around, but it was white all around with no human activities detected. It was a strange environment, blank, bare and thoroughly white. My voice echoed after me, and I couldn't help but shrink to a corner, to make my existence less obvious. As usual. “Exalia.” A soft voice rang out, and I hurriedly turned around in surprise. “Who's…" The rest of my statement got stucked in my throat as my gaze fell on a figure, who blended perfectly with the white environment. Her silken robes seemed to glow with a moonlight hue, her figure both graceful and commanding. Her silver hair cascades down in waves, and her eyes gleamed like orbs. She seemed to be stepping on soft cotton, taking a step at a time with unrivalled elegance. She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. “Who are you?” I questioned doubtfully, taking two steps at a time backward. From the lessons I learned in my seventeen years of existence, I kne

Exalia's POV “No, you don’t understand. Exalia is too young. I’ve seen her grow up and know her history of being weak; she hasn’t even shifted yet.” Jake’s words pierced my heart, each one a painful stab. “She cannot be my mate, and you know that too well; how could she be my Luna? She is so weak?” His words cut deeper than I had anticipated. Tears streamed down my face as I sobbed uncontrollably, my lip trembling and eyes brimming with tears. “But you know she’s always had feelings for you. Your rejection might break her!” My dad’s frustration was evident. “I’m going to reject her in front of the pack and choose a stronger female as my mate, for the good of the pack,” Jake declared. I buried my face in my hands, my shoulders shaking with sobs. The thought of being rejected twisted my stomach into tight knots. “Gather the pack members; I want this done,” Jake commanded. “Beta Zack, follow the order.” “Yes, Alpha, but you’ll regret this,” my dad said, his voice laced with

Exalia's POV There was a knock, followed by the door opening. Maria walked in with a smug expression. “How does it feel? Don’t worry, I’ll be a good Luna to your mate,” she taunted. She approached me with an exaggerated expression of concern. “What’s wrong, Exalia? Can’t handle being turned down by your mate?” She sneered. Before I could respond, Maria’s eyes flicked toward the door. I saw Alpha Jake approaching. Maria’s face twisted into a cruel grin. “Let’s see who’s more important,” she said with satisfaction. Suddenly, she slammed her head against the door frame, crying out, “Ouch! Ow!” The speed of her actions left me stunned, unable to react. “What happened, Maria?” Alpha Jake rushed to her, entirely ignoring me. “Exalia hit me because you didn’t choose her!” Maria’s voice was filled with false indignation. She pointed at me as she spoke to Jake. He turned to look at me, his brows furrowing in anger. “Jeez, I didn’t do it,” I said weakly. “Shut up, Exalia!” J

She looked at me, “Well, there's going to be an all-alpha meeting tomorrow, so I want to make sure to serve all of them. For now, I'd talk to the alpha, but everything depends on your performance,” “Yes, Maria,” I muttered. “Maria?” She asked. “I meant Luna,” she smiled and gestured for me to leave with her hand. “My father?” I sobbed. “He'd be looked after to do your work,” she said, and after looking at my unconscious father for a while, I left. ~~~~ Walking to my house I stopped by the forest trying to feel my wolf, she could help me right? I believed I had one, but it wasn't clear to me why she didn't show up yet. I closed my eyes, focusing on the forest sounds and the gentle breeze. A strange sensation stirred within me, like a voice whispering. “Try harder, Exalia,” the voice urged me on. I drew a deep breath and concentrated. Pain exploded through my bod

"You were forcing yourself on him, it was so clear,” the lady who I didn't know continued. “Impossible! I would never do such a thing; what would I gain? He tried… he tried…” I failed to explain as I burst into more tears. Immediately, the door slammed open, and five guards stormed into the kitchen. With two pulling my arms, I didn't know how to react; it was happening just too fast. “Exalia! What have you done?” one of them, the pack gamma, asked. “Nothing! I swear! He tried to force himself on me and… and I didn't do anything, just a push!” I cried out as more tears threatened to fall from my eyes. “Don't lie to us! We have the evidence, and there's a witness!” Mike the gamma exclaimed harshly, pointing at the alpha's body and the unknown lady. Hitting his hand on his forehead, which was something he'd always do when angry, he looked at me. “What? No! I

I'd go out on a walk and we'd check out how to get into the pack house,” my voice sounded as I stood up and walked out through the door, as my beta, jace followed behind me.The night was dark and quiet in the territory of the Moon launch Pack. As the fierce and dominant lycan alpha, I prowled through the dense forest, by my guards, and jace. "Alpha, everything seems calm tonight," one of the guards reported, breaking the silence of the night.I scanned the area with my black eyes and nodded in acknowledgment. "Stay vigilant. We have an attack to launch," I replied firmly. Deep down, I longed to rest, but I had to get rid of all the corrupt alpha's and I was going to do just that, I had to uphold my duties. I was known as the most feared alpha, although I didn't see anything scary about myself compared to Peter, my best friend,

Axel’s POV.The Physician’s words kept ringing in my ears. The illness was infectious, and the only hope for a cure lay in Exalia's blood. My gut twisted at the thought of her giving so much of it—enough to heal, but at what cost? I couldn't bear to see her suffer any more than she already had.I ran a hand through my hair, pacing back and forth as I tried to gather my thoughts. The situation had escalated too quickly, and the weight of the pack’s suffering was pressing down on me. Each day, more were infected, and the healer’s methods had failed. Exalia was our last hope, but the cost of her help… it was too great.“Is it really the only way?” I asked, my voice low with frustration. The Physician nodded grimly. “Yes, Alpha. Her blood carries a unique vitality that could counter the illness, but it will take a significant amount. Enough to infuse the antidote with the strength it needs.”I clenched my fists, feeling a surge of helplessness. I hated this. I hated how powerless I felt,

  • The Rise Of The White Luna    Chapter 46: Stay By her side

Axel's POV.The tension in the room was thick, almost stifling. I could feel the weight of everyone’s eyes on me, but I kept my gaze locked on the old Physician. His words still rang in my head, leaving me shaken. Exalia, the cure? How could that be possible? It didn’t make sense, yet something in his expression told me he believed every word.“Alpha Axel,” the Physician said again, softer this time. “Perhaps we should discuss this in private?”A murmur of disbelief swept through the crowd, and someone scoffed, “Private? What does he mean by that? We all deserve to know!”More voices chimed in, demanding answers. I didn’t blame them; this disease had devastated us all, and they were desperate for hope. But the old man simply shook his head, a steely resolve in his eyes.“This is a delicate matter,” he said firmly. “Not something to be discussed in public without careful consideration.”I could sense the growing frustration around us, but I also knew the old man wouldn’t bend. After a

  • The Rise Of The White Luna    Chapter 45: The Cure Lies Within

Exalia’s POVI felt like the world had gone quiet, even as the cries and pleas of people filled the clinic around us. Old man Harrick’s words echoed in my mind, over and over. I might be the cure.A strange chill went down my spine as I tried to process it. “Wait... me?” I asked, pointing a shaky finger at my own chest. “Are you saying I could cure them?”Old man Harrick’s gaze was serious, with a hint of sadness. He nodded. “Yes, Exalia. I believe you hold the answer to this sickness.”Around us, whispers started immediately, sharp and cutting.“What’s this nonsense?” Lucia, one of the pack’s Lunas, scoffed from the back. “How could she, of all people, have the cure?”Others were frowning, shaking their heads in disbelief. I felt my heart sink as a few people murmured, “We’re just wasting time here.”“Have you all lost your minds?” Another voice chimed in. “People are dying, and you’re telling us she is the answer?”I felt doubt and embarrassment rising within me, hot and thick. • The Rise Of The White Luna    Chapter 44: The cure.

Exalia's POV The weight of urgency seemed permeable around the clinic, as smells of herbs and blood filled the air.The clinic was bustling with life and death likewise, with clamors and cries of piercing through the air sharply.Women clutched their children tightly, with faces covered in blood, dust and tears, each of them having a look of desperation in their pale faces.Even men were no different, no one pretended to be strong, as they conveyed their fear, grief, and pleas in the most direct way.“Why aren't you attending to my husband? He's dying!” A woman wailed painfully as she clenched the arms of a young man, who was making his way over.“Madam, please wait, we will attend to each one of you.” The man tried to placate her gently, but his smile was forced. They don't even have the cure, so how could they attend to them? He's merely trying to console her. The woman endeavored to grab him again, but he quickly slipped away from her hold. The young man rushed out of the clinic,

Exalia's POV The scholarly Alpha suddenly exclaimed, and I nodded with complex emotions. It turned out that my dream was coming true. Definitely, that black figure should be the witch behind the occurrence in each pack. I added, “Witches are the only beings with the ability to make such a level of destruction take place, and our only witch rival is this witch from the North. Didn't you say that they've been quiet for days? This must be what they are preparing for. The unsure thing is if this disease has reached the other poles, or it's just in our land.” I explained, trying to keep my voice as neutral as possible. I would rather not tell them that thousands of people would still die during this period because I didn't know how I could stop it or even help in reducing the casualties. Yet, I could feel Axel's gaze on my body, and I hurriedly looked away. He's sensitive, so he must have noticed something wrong, but I don't even know how to explain to him. After a while, his gaze lef

Axel's pov I turned to Bernard as well, “After the meeting, make sure that our warriors are okay. If this illness spreads to our warriors, then it would be a disaster, the Border Exchange would even be pointless this time. Furthermore, assign some men to send those spies away from our doorstep. Having them know about all these things would ruin our chances in the exchange as well.”The series of instructions filled the room with an air of solemnity and tension, none of the Alphas spoke up as each of them had contemplative looks on their faces.“We need to find the cause and cure, before we can do anything. And, Old man Harrick is the only person that can help us, I'm not sure if we would be able to find someone else.” Ronan suddenly mentioned, but he was addressing the group of Alphas.I nodded in agreement, “Now, we can only rely on our physicians. Send the news to your people, we don't know how infectious this disease is, so anyone having rashes or boil should be sent to the clinic
