Tim parked across the street and began to wait.

“What is my offense? When has using an old car become an offense in Canterbury?” he mumbled.

While waiting for George, he called Gen. McDonald and informed him that he would be with him soon and he agreed. Nevertheless, he recalled that Laura had not called him and called the General back.

“Hello, Gen. Williams. Did you forget anything?” Gen. McDonald asked.

“Yes. Did you give the secretary my contact?”

“Yes. I did.”

“It's all right. See you later.”

“Okay.”

Nevertheless, after about thirty minutes, he saw George and a man in a corporate outfit walking happily out of the bank. The man showed worries when he tried to cross to the other side of the road.

“Where did you park your car?” He asked curiously.

“Across the street.”

“Oh! Why, if I may ask?”

“The security guard asked me to park there,” George reported innocently.

The Manager gave the Head of the security guards a hateful look and wondered why he should ask such a high-profile custom

At Laura's HouseIf crying could change anything, she had cried enough to retain her job.“Mom and Dad, everyone did well except me. That wicked Tim had put me into trouble,” she wailed.“Don't mention that unfortunate man here. Remembering him is nauseating,” her father blurted out.“Forget about him. He got what he deserved. I'm happy that you suffered a miscarriage and no child of his will remind us of him,” her mother added.“Your mother is right. He will not be remembered because of the evil he did to you.”Laura was aware of her lies against him but she was not remorseful and lied, “I would have scaled through the Aptitude Test if not for him.”“You are right. I advise that you look for another job since this has failed,” her father advised her.“It means we will leave this house. It is theirs,” she made clear. Her parents' countenance changed at once. They just realized that Tim's application got their daughter her job and the accommodation.“Oh, my God. Was he responsible for

The Personnel Manager got to the secretary's office and met her sitting hopelessly.“Good morning, Capt. Jaja,” she greeted him.He scanned her countenance before he responded, “Good morning, Secretary.”Afterward, he returned to his office. After a while, she got an email from Capt. Jaja and she read it at once. She had hoped for a dismissal but the redeployment to the lobby as an Assistant Front Desk Officer was not the best for her either. She bent down and allowed her tears to flow freely. Gilbert had learned to mind his business. The last time he showed concern over her swollen head, she answered him curtly and he was not happy with it.“This is Stephanie's wish. To take over as the President's secretary,” she murmured.Notwithstanding her state of mind, Capt. Jaja walked in with Bright who was smiling from ear to ear.“Good morning,” he greeted Laura and Gilbert warmly. “Good morning, Sir,” Gilbert responded, and before Laura could look up, Capt. Jaja opened the President's

Capt. Bruce informed them of his reason for the meeting and they were shocked to hear that. In such a big organization where the workers are willing to do anything to win the favor of the Superiors, backstabbing is inevitable.Meanwhile, the driver whose vehicle was used, Reuben Corliss spoke up.“Excuse me, Capt. Bruce. I noticed that my bus was used. And …"“Why didn't you inform me?” He interrupted him and asked.“Can you imagine that?”“So, he is the one?”“He must have been doing it.”“This is certainly not the first time.”Reuben was shocked to hear the unpleasant remarks by his colleagues. He looked at their faces and concluded that he had been amid foes.“I didn't inform you because I thought you used it,” he explained and it was not funny.“Are you accusing me of using the company's vehicles?” Capt. Bruce asked him, and the other drivers aided his claim.“I apologize Capt. Bruce but that is not what I mean,” Reuben apologized but the Captain was angry.Nevertheless, some driv

Laura looked at the direction too and saw Bright smiling shyly. She was right to eat there at first but she did not present herself well as senior staff. That means, her first impression to George was not acceptable and it boxed her into a corner. She ignored them and ordered her food. After the food was served, she ate it leisurely as though she had nothing bothering her. She was a loner and no one asked her why she was dullish. When she thought that the food was finished in the kitchen and lunch was over, she walked back to Barbara.Nevertheless, she was with a visitor when she arrived and took her seat. Likewise, Barbara was embittered when she saw her walking back without her food. She held her peace and directed the visitor to his destination before she faced her.“Where is my food, Laura?” She stood akimbo and asked.Laura gave her a hateful look and asked her, “When did I become your food vendor, Barbara? I guess you were not hungry otherwise, you would have found your way to t

The three visitors did not expect anything less and were happy to see Laura in fear. Instantly, Barbara appeared from nowhere.“I'm here, Sgt Young,” she answered.“What is going on here?” George asked angrily.“I would not know, Sgt. Young. I waited for her to have her lunch before me. After she returned, I went for mine,” she explained innocently.George was furious. He faced Laura and asked indignantly, “If you can't give the right direction, can't you apologize for your mistake?” She looked fearfully at the visitors and apologized, “I'm sorry.”Although it was not sincere it was better than nothing if only George would see it that way.“It's all …”“What are you sorry for?” George interrupted them, hit his left hand on the desk, and revealed his wristwatch. Now, she shuddered and looked at the visitors like a moron. They giggled and waited for her to correct herself. Collins and the others waited patiently as well while Barbara smirked happily.“I'm sorry that I …”“Gentlemen, pa

“How would someone wish to kill innocent orphans who are trying to survive without their parents just to hurt their benefactor?” He grumbled and stared at the wall. After ten minutes of meditation, he concluded, “I will roast all of them.” He chatted him up again and appeared more desperate. (My contact said that the Third in Command is interested in anything that would make Gen. Richmond lose his integrity.)(Wow! Then the project will interest him.)(Yes. If your payment is encouraging, the Third in Command will encourage him to organize a first-anniversary for the orphanage.)(Oh! It is a good idea. Kindly find out if he can convince him to make the event bigger and invite the Heads of State of some Nations.)“Why does he want them?” He asked himself in wonderment and continued to chat with him. (Why do you want it bigger and their presence if I may ask? It will help me in my negotiation.)(My sponsor has got a beef with them and that would be the chance to eliminate them.)(I s

The Next Day - At Laura's House.Based on her parents' advice, she dressed modestly. When she was set to leave, she walked to their apartment to announce her departure.“Good morning, Mom and Dad. I hope you slept well?”“Good morning, my dear. We slept well,” her father responded.“I hope you slept well too?” Her mother asked.“Yes, Mom. I'm leaving. Take care of yourselves.”“It is okay, dear.”“Remember my advice. Don't disrespect Barbara. She is your boss,” her mother cautioned her.“Yes, Mom. I will be careful. Goodbye.”“Goodbye,” they responded and watched her as she walked away.“From her dressing, you can see that she will be careful,” her father pointed out.“Yes. She is ready to work peacefully with her.”She got to the bus stop and greeted everyone cheerfully. Her dressing and attitude of consideration stirred some staff members especially those who were unaware of her demotion. All the same, they responded, “Good morning.”Soon, the bus arrived and they boarded. Bright a

They never expected that their opinions would be read publicly and exposed before Reuben.“Secretary, collect their petitions from them and read out what they wrote,” George ordered when they hesitated.“Okay, Boss,” he said and stretched out his hand to them but they were reluctant to release their papers.“What are you waiting for?” Capt. Bruce barked and collected the papers from them angrily. He handed them over to the secretary at once and he began to read.“Three months without salary. One year deduction in salary by fifty percent. Sack him. Pardon him. Outright dismissal. Lock him up in the guardroom for one month.”“Ha!” The two Captains exclaimed and faced George.Bright was astounded and wondered if they would ever be leaders in their lives. He looked at Reuben who was already weeping and had compassion on him.“I'm innocent, General. I have a pregnant wife and children. I don't know how they will survive. Please …"“Who wrote 'Pardon him'?” George interrupted him and asked.

At Raino Airport The team landed after seven hours. They looked at the General, who was sleeping soundly, and wondered what to do."I can wake him up," Richard volunteered and did.George got out of the aircraft by walking confidently down the staircase followed by Jerry and Silas. At that point, many media houses had their beam lights on him. After them, the next person they saw was a disheveled Gen. Anderson, who was in cuffs. Richard guided him until he stepped on the last staircase. Tim got out, too, and adjusted his cross bag.George led them until they got to the tarmac. Before Gen. Anderson crossed, Richard unlocked the cuffs and retrieved them. He gave him an arm salute and as usual, he ignored him. Before they could turn, a Raino soldier cuffed him at once. The reporters were disappointed. They thought they would walk to the lobby and grant them an interview. Since they did not, they ran after them. When they caught up with him, they began their interview, "Welcome to Rai

At The Canterbury Defense Academy The cadets were in the mess room having their breakfast when they were watching the broadcast. Gerald and Samuel became cold at once but concealed it. Although they were still with their phones, they could not call Tim or George for fear of being reprimanded for disturbing them. Gerald ate his food as though he was not disturbed. Afterward, he walked to Samuel's section and met him staring at his food and lost in thought. Despite that, he would do nothing; his presence could assuage his anxieties. "Eat your food," he encouraged him.Samuel was startled by his voice and looked up. He smiled dryly when he saw him and said, "Okay."He watched him as he finished his food and got up.Now, everyone was out of the mess room and walking to their classrooms. It was time to speak on the broadcast."Maj. Young would have separated his head from his neck. Foolish man.""I don't know why they hate us.""What was the driver's offense?""I wish I knew. At Tim's House George can take everything but not coming home and not meeting Tim. His countenance changed when Collins stopped in front of the foyer and he got out of the car. They saluted him accordingly and he returned the salute. He walked into the parlor and was disturbed by a message. He checked out for the sender and sat down when he noticed that it was from his father. He punched the message and smiled when he saw the picture of the car."Beautiful," he said and admired it.He read the message and was happy with their progress."Wow! He has spoken with his parents-in-law. That is good," he pointed out.He vacillated over calling Tim to find out his whereabouts."He may be too busy, and I don't want to disturb him," he said, got up, and headed to his room. After changing his clothes, he laid on the bed for a nap. He woke up a few minutes before 6 PM and concluded that he was back. He was about to leave his room when he got a call from him. He picked it up anxiously and greet

"Yes, Mom and Dad. We indicated our interest to get married today.""Wow! I thought you would never marry, Ella," her mother teased her.She laughed softly and responded, "It is not so, Mom. I have found the person I love and I am getting married. That is it.""Ha, Ella. I can't believe that you are talking about marriage. How is the man?" Her mother asked her curiously."Is the man handsome?" Her father asked her jokingly and she laughed aloud."I can't wait to see the man who is worthy of your love," her mother added."We shall see. Speak with my husband," she said."Are you with him?" Her mother anxiously asked her."Yes, Mom. He heard everything you said about him."Before her mother could react, she handed the phone over to the old man. He looked at her happy face before he spoke."Good day, Mother-in-law. At The Christchurch DomeVincent was only following them like a sheep being led to the slaughter. Left for him, he would love to be with his family. When Tim stopped, he was hesitant to get out of the car."Here we are," Richard said and got out of the car.He expected him to do the same thing. When he did not, he opened the door for him and said, "Come out."He obeyed and he shut the door. He led him to the foyer while Tim called the Second in Command. When he picked up the call, he greeted him, "Good evening, Tim. What's up.""Good evening, Your Excellency. Are you still in the office?""No.""It is okay. I took the driver away from the hospital. Dr. Morgan was responsible for the mix-up.""Oh, my God! Where are you?""I'm at the Dome. He is safer here.""Wait for me. I'm still around.""It's all right," he said and the call ended. He got out of the car and joined the two in the foyer. Nevertheless, the media crew parked in front of the hospital and waited for instructions from the Minister."I will let you know what to do," he informed them."We got it, Boss," they answered him simultaneously. The three of them followed Tim who was leading the way. At that time, he had ensured that his secret camera was on.Instead of seeing Dr. Morgan in his office, he led them to the ward hoping to catch the caregiver or anyone responsible for the act. He pushed the door and walked in at once and the others followed.Dr. Rochford was startled and he looked up. He was frightened to see three high-ranking soldiers with unhappy faces. Meanwhile, Vincent woke up when the door creaked and focused on the soldiers. He suspected that they had come for him and sat up. To get the truth from him, Tim smiled broadly, and Dr. Rochford, who they did not recognize,e, was surprised to see that for the first time."Good morning, Vincent," he greeted him.On hearing his first name, he assumed tha

A broad smile flickered across his lips and he mumbled, "That little boy of yesterday is now taking care of his father. I can't believe it."He looked at Ella, who was sleeping soundly beside him, and his eyes were wet with tears of joy.Thereupon, he began to count his blessings, "The Lord has rewarded me according to my heart's desires because He has seen the cleanness of my hands. Wonderful son and a caring wife. My Dukedom has been upgraded and restored. Above all, the Young man is there for me. What else will I ask from God?"Afterward, he sent a message to Tim and informed him of the allocation. He tossed his phone aside and bent to kiss Ella's temple. Suddenly, his phone rang and woke Ella from sleep."Who is this?" He asked himself and picked up his phone."Mr. Watson," he said and looked at Ella who was waiting to know the caller."The car dealer," he explained and picked up the call."Hello, Mr. Watson.""Good day, Your Grace. We are close to your palace," he informed him."

Meanwhile, George was bitter that he addressed him wrongly and would not allow him to go without being reprimanded. He smiled dryly and answered him, "Not immediately, Gen. Anderson. I will do that after I get justice for the taxi driver you wished to strangle to death."Before that time, he was not aware that he was discovered. Subsequently, he was distressed and wished to die. Just like in a movie scene, he began to faint, but Valentine, who was about to lock the tailgate, grabbed him. Cpl. Barton and Jerry noticed it, walked to him, and helped to steady him."You can't die now," George snarled and gave him a hate look before they walked him to his cell. Richard followed him and unlocked the cuffs and got them back for Tim. He did the same thing for the other suspects and joined the General Manager and George."This is unbelievable," the General Manager pointed out."Just imagine that. Who would suspect that he was hiding there?" Richard responded."See you later," Richard said an

To avoid more questions, he got up and requested for lunch."Kindly find out if Francis is through with the lunch.""Oh! He looked at the sender and his face beamed with delight."Wow! The allocation," he stated joyously. Shortly after, Ella walked into the room and informed him that lunch was ready. At The Second in Command's Office While Richard and Valentine were sitting in the Hilux, Tim got into the clunker and informed him via a text that they should leave for the complex at once while he went to see the Second in Command. He acknowledged it and informed Valentine, "We are going to the complex.""I got it, Major," he said and drove off.Tim informed George to expect them before he drove behind them.
