Reuben understood what he meant and moved immediately. In a jiffy, he was in the lobby and before the elevator. He pressed the button and began to wait. At that point, he felt that the elevator was too slow and was tempted to use the staircase. To his delight, the gates opened earlier than he expected and he got in. He alighted on the tenth floor and searched the faces of the soldiers at the door, but he got no clue as to what awaited him. All the same, he greeted them and walked into the office.

Bright saw him and recalled that George said 'I want to compensate a driver.' He smiled softly and asked him, “You intend to see the President, right?”

“Yes, Secretary.”

“Good. You can go in and see him.”

Reuben cleaned the sweat on his forehead and appreciated him, “Thank you, so much, Secretary.”

He opened the door, walked in, and scanned George before he greeted him, “Good day, General.”

Without much ado, he said, “Take this. It is your compensation for sacrificing your breakfast for work.
