Chapter twenty-six

Serena opened her eyes slowly, rubbing her face as she woke up. The first she could see was Denzel's face. His eyes closed and he was asleep.

Rubbing her eyes again with both of her hands she stared at him again but still, she saw him.

"I am sitting on his lap?... What…" trying to remember when she remembered what happened yesterday night she was afraid. She could clearly hear Diva's trembling voice when she said her mom had told her to kill Charlie's mother. 

She felt her breathing stuck in her throat all of a sudden. To get up from his lap while he was sleeping she tried not to wake him up. As she put her feet on the floor Denzel moved slightly. Opening his eyes as he saw her he touched her hand. 

Serena turned towards him, "Sorry, I did not mean to wake you up."

"It's ok." As he let out, she took a step forward when he grabbed her hand and pulled her to make her sit on his lap. Serena was not gazing at him as she could feel that
