Chapter thirty-one

Serena had her head rested on the sofa when her eyes were closed. It was raining outside, she was sleeping for two hours by now. She had been waiting for Denzel to come back.

Her phone was ringing and ringing again but she was still asleep. A sudden sound of thunderstorms made her open her eyes. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the wall clock. "10 pm. Where is Denzel..." But then she looked at her phone screen and saw fifteen missed calls from an unknown number.

"Who called me?" She mumbled. Then she got a call by the same number the sixteenth time. Picking up the call she said, "Hello!" 

The voice from the other side of the call, she was shocked for a moment as she heard the voice of the caller from the other side of the call. "Serena, it's me, Mathew. Can you hear me?"
