**Michael's POV**

“Alpha, since you've rejected your mate and sent her out, when are you going to crown someone as the Luna of this pack?” One of the elders asked.

It's been weeks since I sent Scarlett out, and picking another Luna wasn't something that interested me that much. I told them I needed some time to pick the right person, but they were becoming impatient, and it's annoying me greatly.

I cleared my throat and faced them. “I told you all to give me some time.” I said.

“That was two weeks ago, Alpha.” One of the elders folded his hands.

I sighed and facepalmed.

“You're an Alpha and can't rule without a Luna. Since you feel Scarlett wasn't good enough—”

“I didn't feel, elders. She isn't good enough. Besides, she committed treason and has to be sent away from the pack.” I answered, trying to cover up the guilt that washed over me the moment he said that.
