Daisy’s POV

It was awkward. We had gone from touching each other every minute to not being able to be around each other.

The more I tried to reach out to him the more he was withdrawing. Astrid was right, I needed to give him space.

“Daisy,” Elder Mark’s gruff voice stopped me in my tracks.

“It’s been a minute,” he said, smiling slyly at me .

“Elder Mark,” I greeted coolly.

His presence made the hairs at the back of my neck stand in warning.

“Your father misses you,” he said in a low tone.

“Tell Hades to lift the ban on our pack, and come home,” he uttered.

I stared at him in disbelief, unable to understand why he said what he just did.

“I have no control over what Hades does,” I hissed.

Elder Mark laughed, “but that little pussy of yours can do the talking,” he muttered, taking a step closer to me.

I took a step back, my back colliding with the wall. Elder Mark had a dark smile on his face, nothing my trapped position.
