“They say, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”

Daisy’s POV

It wasn’t the stares that had me worried, it was the snickers and pointing.

They pointed at me like I was in a circus, for they viewing pleasure.

“Is it me or are they really staring at us,” I whispered to Priya.

“They are definitely staring,” Priya hummed, looking around.

“Daisy, Astrid is requesting your presence,” a maid said, walking away before I could question her.

“What does she want?” I murmured, feeling anxious.

Priya shrugged, “beats me, alright I have to run but I will find you later,” she yelled.

I made my way to the castle, my strides heavy and slow, the weight of their stares felt like a thousand needles prick on my skin.

My footsteps echoed through the eerily quiet hallway, each step I took felt heavier than the last, and the thought of our last encounter came flashing back.

The foreboding door stood before me, like a barricade to an impending doom. And I took in a deep breath, “it’s going to be alright,” I mutt
