Daisy’s POV

The judgment was made, but I still felt like I was a little vindictive about it.

Their death was going to be by hanging.

“You don’t have to come,” Hades said, trying to persuade me to stay home, but I knew that I would only be drowning in my thoughts if I stayed away.

I understood Hades fear, he hated the night terrors that had become a new part of my sleep routine.

“I know, but I want to,” I said in a soft voice.

Hades released a long sigh, I could see it in his eyes how much he wanted to argue about it, but he decided against it.

“Okay,” he muttered, helping me out of the room.

“But you aren’t going to watch the hanging,” he said with finality in his tone.

I smiled, I wasn’t planning to, I was only going to sit and listen to the elders as they listed out their crimes before them.

“I don’t think I would stay until that,” I said, pecking Hades’ lips.

Hades smiled, deepening the kiss further.
