“I’ve laid the ground work”

Daisy’s POV

“What do you mean they have gone silent?” Alec roared.

The air around the camp has been thick, almost suffocating.

Alec has been on a rampage, something was happening but no one knew how.

“Reach out to the northern region,” he growled.

I settled deeper into the shrubs hiding from his sight.

“Eavesdropping is not a good look on you,” Eve muttered.

I jumped in fright from the sound of her voice and landed face down on the grass.

Eve’s laughter had my blood boiling.

“So what did you get from all of that?” she asked, stretching out her hand to pull me up.

I accepted her offer with a sly grin on my face.

“ouch” she yelped, falling to the ground.

I crackled, holding my ribs as I laughed.

“you really are a mean one, you know,” Eve muttered, with an unimpressed look on her face.

“I’m sorry,” I chuckled.

Eve and I had somewhat gotten cordial. I had seen it all, she was just a girl who was trapped into loving her abductor.
