CHAPTER 127

“there’s never a clean break, constantly fighting,”

Daisy’s POV

“Wake up”

A voice screamed in my ear and I snapped my eyes open.

I couldn’t see it, but I felt it, lurking in the shadows.

I kept my cool watching the figure inch closer to me. Its steps were slow and quiet.

Light flashed across the sword that was pulled from his back sheath.

He was going to kill me and no one would know. My fingers slowly touched the ground of the tent, and I gently gathered enough sand in my hands.

I waited with a racing heart as the figure approached, and I lunged, aiming for the his eyes.

The sword clanked, and my assailant gave a loud hiss, trying to subdue the pain he was feeling in his eyes.

My feet ran faster than I could imagine.. “help me,” I screamed my voice trembling in fear.

Alec rushed out of his tent, his eyes wild searching around for the danger.

“There’s a man on my room with a sword” I screamed from my lungs.

Some guards rushed into my room, surprised to find the assailant still writh
